This is a great scooter. I was looking for a stable scooter for our just turned three year old, so we were looking for one with three wheels. Also, our daughter is nearly 42 pounds, and most of the scooters have a weight limit of 44 pounds, so the Kettler was great in that it has a much higher weight limit. It also has a regular front wheel like a bike, so she didn't have to learn how to turn. We like that the handlebars are adjustable so that we can move them up when she gets taller. I also like that it has a brake, although our daughter hasn't tried using it yet. She is still going pretty slow on it, so she hasn't really needed it! We weren't looking for a pink scooter, but the red one didn't come with the brake, so we ended up with the pink one. It doesn't fold up and it is heavier than a two wheel scooter, but I like that it is solid and seems well built. No regrets at all and it looks like we'll have this one around for a long time.

We purchased this scooter for our 3-year-old because of the reasonable cost (about $50 on sale), because it's adjustable, and because we have a Kettler trike, which has been a wonderful toy. Like our daughter's trike, the scooter is well-made and durable. But the design is not as easy to use as the Micro Mini all the children in the neighborhood have. The one big wheel in the front is not as sturdy as the two, small Micro Mini wheels. All of that translates to a scooter she's not as eager to use as we hoped she'd be. I would not recommend to a friend.

I wanteded two mini-pumps, so I purchased both the Mini-DXG as well as the Mini-G models. The DXG is a little shorter, with slightly improved frame mounting, but general performance is the same. Both have a built-in pressure gage that works, but I don't expect it to be very accurate. Both pump air during IN and OUT strokes, which was much more difficult than a floor pump, but I plan to use these for emergencies only. Both frame-mounts will position the pump next to the bottle cage, using the same screws for the bottle cage. This was OK except when I bike with casual long pants, my pant cuffs would catch on the pump lever if mounted on the left side, and if mounted on the right side, it's too close to the bike chain. This is not a big deal because I just carry these in my bike bag, but I would've liked it much more if it would've just velcro-mounted to my top bar.

Small enough to keep on the bike without bothering, the pump is pretty bad tho. After 60 lbs of pressure. You have to use all your force to try to put more air. Soo imagine the struggle to get too 100 or more psi. but I guess if your stuck with a flat, This pimp can become a life saver.

I've bought it because it is small, lightweight (170g), works with both presta and schrader,and because it has a pression gauge (which I think is very important).

I've used it many times and it seems to be really robust, so I believe/hope it will last for a longtime.

Until 60 psi it's reall easy to inflate, and also it does it really fast (because it inflates when pushing AND when pulling). From 60 to 90 psi it begins to get REALLY hard... And after that is a pain in the ass! So if you need to put MORE than 100/110 psi I would NOT recommend it (that's why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5).

ps: I never used it mounted to the bike, so I cannot talk about it.

This pump works great and I've had no difficulties pumping up my tires with it. I've had this pump for over 2 years and I've gotten quite a few minor flats out on trails and even commuting in city streets. Pump still works like new. I have a mountain bike with 26" tires and they're pretty damn thick (2.5"). So the folks who said this pump was "hard" are either weaklings or my forearm is just extra buff from all the... well, that's not the point. The point is, this pump is very compact (only 10" in length with handle pushed in) and it pumps air while both pushing and pulling the pump handle so it's fast! I didn't use the mount that came with this pump for my bike. Whenever I'm biking I have a backpack with my lock, drinks, wallet/ID, Green Slime, etc. and the pump fits in my pack nicely;it practically weighs nothing at all. I highly recommend this little pump!

Nothing worse than a small pump that takes forever to use when on a trail.

The Mini DXG is the exception to the rule. I have had to use it twice and was pleasantly surprised how well it works with a 26inch mountain bike tire.

I cannot comment on the use with a road bike that requires a high pressure of 110lbs or more.

Frogg Togg has come up with a sport twist on the shammy and made them in fun colors. I bought one at a sporting goods store for running. I did not right away connect the frogg togg towel to the shammy. I say kudos to them for thinking of yet another way to use one but you can get them cheaper other places.

Now as far as my experience with it for the purpose I got it for. I am training for a marathon so I run. I run a lot. I sweat a lot. The frogg togg is great for absorbing the sweat from my face and neck all while staying cool. I have benefited from its use mostly in a gym though while training on a treadmill. It is by no means tiny and runners need to pack light. I drape it over the arm of the treadmill and its there when I need it. I don't need it when running outdoors as much anyway because I have wind in my face unlike at the stuffy gym.

The golfer mentioned that his was drying out which proved useless to him and I can completely relate that if in sun or a hot car, yes it will dry more quickly. I think the tube it comes in is a little cumbersome so I stick mine in a gallon ziplock bag, take it out when I get to the gym, put it back in when I am done until I can get home to get it in the washer.

Overall, I like this much better than a towel. It is smooth as butter so it doesn't feel scratchy on my face. Also I have found that some fabrics ie. shirt sleeves or even using my hand to wipe sweat away can really burn my face. Some may be the salt in my sweat from my hands being wiped onto my cleaner more sensitive face and some may be the fabric softner/soap left behind in the towel or shirt. Either way I like my frogg togg and will continue to use it happily.

The towel does get cool, but the material feels like neoprene and kind of gross/slimy. I haven't had a problem with the smell, like some other have, but I keep it in the plastic container. I took this to the beach so my small children could use it in the stroller, but they don't really like it because of the weird texture. I think it could work for some people.

A tennis friend of mine used this one hot summer day and I flipped for it. Found it at Amazon at a great price. When it's dry, it's stiff; once you soak it in water, it takes on the texture of a soft flexible chamois. It's a rather large square; I cut it down the middle and hang it around my neck during those hot days on the tennis court, like a scarf (got to tuck it in to my top during play or it'll fall off). It feels cool as long as it's wet. As you become accustomed to the temperature, you can dip it in ice water, wring it out and it feels cold again.

Very happy I have it, however, I didn't realized there were two in one pack. I ordered two, one for me and one as a gift and ended up with 4. It's a product that won't wear out fast, so one is all you'll need for some time. When not using it, you should store it in it's container, which has a ventilation hole in it to allow it to dry out slowly. I think if you keep it in a ziplock bag where it's always damp, it may mold on you.

The product is NOT "quality" as depicted. Within the first five minutes of might riding on day one with this, it ceased to work. The following night, I was asked "what is that thing in your tire?" I had to laugh and say that it was supposed to be a light. On the 2 hour ride I was on, it began to work again mid-ride, only to fail again before the rides end. I asked the other riders how it looked in motion, where it was described to me as looking incomplete. The images posted are NOTHING like they images in your wheel. I understand that speed can affect this, but it looked just as bad chugging uphill at 5 mph as it did flying back downhill at over 20 mph. Not only is the light worthless and overpriced (find it on eBay at less one third the cost!) but the seller is uncooperative and rude.

This product is not anything it claims to be. .. For starters, this pictures makes it seem like it takes up the entire wheel well. instead, it's only about 40%...Secondly, and most important....You have to be going a thousand miles an hour just to get the LED's to project an image. unless you're flying down a hill at top speeds, there no image & sadly when you're racing with all of your energy for that 5 minutes, the stupid lights only illuminate part of the wheel.. Don't waste your money on this product. The design concept is there and it looks cool in the picture, but it's a real POS.

The light does what it says it does. It makes lit patterns on bike wheels. But the problem is that there is no on/off switch and is difficult to remove the batteries.

Amazon claimed this was 3-5 business day shipping, but after it was ordered it shipped from China directly. The lights showed up after about 20 days, having to go through customs. Wish they made this clear from the beginning.

Seller did make prompt communications during transaction. No problem there.

Maybe it was user malfunction, which is entirely possible, but we couldnt get these spoke lights to stick with a single design. It was either off or we had to get the constantly changing designs with random words thrown in. You also have to be going pretty fast for the design to be visible at all. Nowhere near as good as the original Hokey Spokes which can be synched up. These cannot be synched and the designs changing all the time leaves much to be desired. Not really stoked. :(

My husband bought this scooter for my daughter who will soon be two after seeing how much she wanted to ride the neighbor kids' razors. My daughter jumped up and down with joy after seeing the toy. As soon as she got on she knew what to do. This toy is so SAFE, in comparison to any other competition! The base for the foot is almost a foot wide. Also the two wheels in front help balance our child more so than the two wheel in back ones. It is also fun for her to sit down on the center portion and us to pull her around on it. It is made out of the same plastic material as the RadioFLyer wagons, so it is really durable. It did not break when I stood on it and I weigh 140. I am pretty sure it is not cleared for that heavy of a person..but I had to try it. Overall GREAT toy! Safer than a Trike too, since she is not having to climb over the middle section..she just steps off.

Do you have an active 2-year old? Then do not buy this scooter. Our son loves to scoot on other kids' scooters but not this one. It looks cute, but the design is very poor. 1) It is too wide for a little kid (I thought that its width would make it more stable but he just hits his scooting foot on it), 2) It barely turns corners. You need to have a lot of room to make a turn and definitely can't do a right angle on a side walk, which actually makes it somewhat unsafe because it can fall over if he is trying to make a quick turn. It's durable, but we need to get him another one with a better design because this one is just not very functional for a little kid. Particularly for the price and Radio Flyer brand, we are very disappointed and will probably not purchase any more Radio Flyer products, no matter how cute they look. I would really like a refund.

I was so irritated by thsi scooter that I posted thsi same review to the other scooter my son does have. My mother got my 4 year old the Mini Kick scooter and my 22 month old the Radio Flyer 3 wheel scooter. First of all, after receiving the RadioFlyer one, I can say it will be the LAST RF toy I ever buy!!! Garbage garbage garbage. I had debated buying that same one for my 4 year old after the reviews and was amazed it received such good reviews. Thanks to the anonymous review who recommended the mini kick scooter while I was reading reviews of the RF scooter. First of all, the two can't be compared, not unless you're comparing a rusty bike with a cannondale. One glides like silk, the other requires a lot of strength that my 22month old doesn't have. In order to steer the kick scooter, my 4 year old only has to lean his body to the side just a bit. In order to steer the RF, my younger son has to grab both handles and firmly rotate the handles. He lacks the upper body strength and even when I'm leaning over helping him, it's a nuisance because when it does rotate, the turning radius is a joke. For right now, my younger son understands the concept of one foot on the base of the scooter and using the other foot for pushing off. He just can't execute it because as soon as he puts weight on the RF, it stops. Plus the handle bar is 2 or 3 inches higher than the Kick Scooter Handle bars. It's a big difference. He can't both hold onto the handle AND lean down to push off with the other foot. My 22mo old is 31 inches. My 4 year old is 41 inches. When my younger son plays on the Kick scooter, he can do the "glide and push" method very easily. He doesn't quite have the balance to completely control the leaning and balance to stay on it but it's so easy to use that I can see him mastering it in a few months. My 4 year old mastered the kick within 30 minutes. Plus the wheels on the KICK scooter are huge but in a good way. You can tell it's made just the rubber roller blade wheels while the RF is just plastic wheels. In a few months, I will be selling the RF and buying a Kick for my younger son. On a side note, my flooring in my house is all tile. My older son doesn't even walk anymore. He uses his kick to glide from room to room. It's so tiny and thin that you hardly notice it while the RF is pretty bulky.

This is a very high-quality piece made out of heavy steel wire, with great welds and zinc plating. It looks very sturdy and should support plenty of weight. It's also made in the USA, which is another bonus. However, this basket will require some time and effort effort to mount on most mountain bikes. If I didn't have a nice collection of fasteners, a power drill, and the tools required to cut bolts to size I probably would not have been able to mount this on my bike. It doesn't just bolt on and you shouldn't expect it to. I'm guessing it would work much better if you had the old-school cruiser style bike with fenders and chrome.

This is a quality product, but you might have to use some ingenuity when it comes to getting it on your bike.

i got these baskets off craigslist but these are exactly what i have, with all the same parts.

The biggest issue for me was successfully installing the baskets onto my bike. maybe if i wasn't just a regular ol commuter but a bike tech, or superman, i'd be able to get them on. i have an 18.5" Jamis commuter. the main problem is not the "legs" that attach near the wheel, but attaching the parts at the bottom of the seatpost. it has so far been impossible because once attached, the attachment prevents the back brakes from functioning. in the process of trying to attach, i've scratched up some paint on my bike.

i went to a local bike shop and someone there thankfully devised a solution for $5. i love the baskets!

thus, while i recommend the baskets, you should know that depending on your bike, you might run into a little trouble installing

First of all, I hate to see a good product tarnished by some bad reviews because some half wit can't spend 5 minutes trying to ummm FIGURE IT OUT ON THEIR OWN. The assembly is simple, almost fool proof. No wonder India and China are gladly taking any job that requires any sort of critical spatial thinking. But that's a story for another day. A few notes, and even a sarcastic but helpful link for some of the people struggling out there:

1. Seriously, try and figure it out before complaining on Amazon. If youre still stuck, well, gosh, maybe someone at Wald thought of that and put some instructions online.... Hmmmmm.... If only there was a way to use some sort of... computational ENGINE.... to SEARCH..... The WEB for some instructions! Holy crap someone already invented that? I found this .PDF to be particularly useful:

2. The product itself is quite nice, especially for the price. I happen to work in an industry where wire formed products are quite common (consumer goods, ie shower caddies and the like. Exciting, I know!) and for the amount of wire, welds, and most importantly, the quality of the plating (which is crucial for rust protection) are all top notch. The nuts are actually nylon locking. The bolts are not stainless steel, but I upgraded at Lowes for like $2.

3. Lastly, the baskets are 12.5" by 10" by 4.5" at the bottom and taper out towards the top. Plenty big for most items.

I am pleased with my purchase.

The pictures don't do the basket justice. I was a little worried about the quality when I ordered it, but while reading various bike blogs the name 'Wald' kept coming up always attached to assurances of quality. The images didn't reassure me and the price made me uncertain but I purchased the basket anyway and I'm very glad that I did.

The box arrived pretty banged up with poor packaging but the baskets were in top condition. My husband and I installed them on my Huffy cranbrook cruiser with only a little bit of difficulty on the chain side. Eventually I stuck the nut a piece of tape and held it in place while my husband got the screw aligned and tightened it up. We had to take the seat off to install the brackets that attach to the back of the bike but that was mostly because of some awkward angles and the fact we didn't have any needle nosed pliers, just a pair of blunt noses and a flat head screwdriver.

A word of caution: if you have painted fenders lay a towel over them before you start installing the baskets. My fenders are now scuffed up from the metal rubbing against the paint as we shifted the baskets around for the best fit. Doesn't rate detracting a star as it was our own fault for lack of foresight.

Once installed the baskets are quite solid, much more so than I thought they would be. I would pay $30 again for these baskets I'm quite happy with them. If the Wald rack (sans baskets) is the same quality as the ones I bought I would be perfectly confident that a friend could hop onto the back for me to pedal around in the dutch style.

I bought this for my wife's new bike. She delivers newspapers and was having a difficult time carrying all of her papers and as a result would have to make more than one trip to finish her route. Now she can do it all in one trip and the papers stay bundled. Having the baskets to the sides keeps the center of gravity down lower so the bike is more stable.

Installation was a snap and the baskets (and the goods inside) stay completely secure.

UPDATE:

Just to let you all know how it holds up over time... Two summers of daily use and still in excellent shape.

Quality all around. Perfect bag for cycling and short hikes. It has a 5"x7" zippered mesh internal compartment great for cellphone, keys, and maybe a few other odds and ends. No real storage space when bladder is compressed, but I bought it for it's small profile. Soft bite valve with on and off capabilities. There are a magnets on the shoulder straps and one looped on the tube helping to keep it against the shoulder strap. It worked really well while cycling, but not so much while hiking. Probably because I'm a big guy with big arms;).

CycleOps Stackable Climbing Block for Indoor Bicycle Trainers Review

I went looking for more info on this product as i was curious about the "4 separate height adjustments" on the ribbon brochure and i could only see 3 possible positions. It turns out that 2 of the separate height adjustments are using a 2nd climbing block in combination with the first: back-to-back and front-to-back.

As far as i can tell there are the three positions with the one climbing block. Measuring how high the front tire is raised gives the possible height increases of 1.25 inches, 1.75 inches and 2.125 inches (these are eye-balled so not perfect).

The combination of a CycleOps trainer and my wife's bike raises her back tire 1 inch off the floor so like the previous reviewer, Adam Rhuberg said, the block is more like a leveler than a climber. Unless you buy that 2nd climbing block of course.

I purchased the CycleOps 2 Fluid Trainer and bought the climbing block to go with it. First comment, I can't see using this trainer without the block because your back tire is raised quite a bit when connected to the trainer. Other trainers might be lower to the ground and maybe this block isn't as necessary. Second comment, I don't feel it's much of a "climbing" block as it is a "leveling" block. Each slot does have variations in the grade, but they're not extreme... you won't feel like you're climbing Alp D'Huez. The minor flaw is that there's no identification on the block in terms of what slot you're using. There are theoretically 6 different ways you can position your bike in this, and if you're like me and you constantly break it all down and put it away, you never know which slot you had your wheel in before without putting the bike in, eyeballing the level of the bike, and possibly getting on the bike to see if it feels right. Kind of a stupid oversight in product design if you ask me.

This is a good quality product. It does its job in lifting the front wheel of my bike off the ground while I'm using my trainer. As previous reviews have indicated, the "climbing" aspect of this product only comes with stacking two on top of one another to create a hill. My goal with the block was just to raise the front wheel, so I've stuck with just one. I have found that the block sometimes gets caught or snags on the burbur carpeting it sits on, which is fixed by a few minor adjustments including placing a smooth mat underneath. I can't say I notice a difference in the various positions on the block, so I just keep it in the same slot each time. I too wish there were numbers or even indicators on each slot to indicate position. Overall, I like the product.

It doesn't matter how high your front wheel is, it will not simulate an actual hill climb because you are not working against gravity. It can only simulate your *position* on the bike when climbing a hill. If you want to simulate the important part of a climb, i.e. having to work harder to gain elevation, crank up the resistance on your trainer.

If you buy a Cycle-Ops it is worth the few extra bucks to pick up this block. What it does is allows you to simulate varied terrain. If you want to practice hills you can on the block. Besides the simulated terrains, which really works, it allows your bike to be perfectly still and will not sway when you are working out. I have one that I use every time I break out my trainer and can't see using the Cycle-Ops without it. It is definitely worth the few extra dollars to provide you with a better workout.

Probably the only product by Zipp that i could ever afford. It is as light and probably lighter than any carbon stem, and much stiffer and stronger. The finish is superb. i have not had any issues with the titanium screws. just add a little grease on threads and don't over tighten.

I got a set of these wheels as a inexpensive upgrade for my Next Break Point mountain bicycle. They are a decent replacement wheel for a bike that you don't want to dump a lot of money into. I decided to readjust the bearings because they were a little too loose out of the box. The only thing I don't like about them is the seam isn't finished very well and every time the brake pads run over it, they make a thumping noise.

This wheel hadn't been reviewed so I was on my own with the purchase. However, I was extremely pleased with the wheel. Packing was great. The wheel arrived true out of the box, which was great. I would purchase this wheel again without hesitation.
