Arrived quickly and was easy to assemble with the cool provided tools.

I ordered this for my son...it arrived with one piece missing to secure the wheel. my son was so excited about his new scooter I let him ride it (bad call on my part).

After 5 minutes of ridding smoothly... the back wheel completely gave way and broke the swivel holder... the scooter is not usable anymore!!!

Got this for my 6-year old son for his birthday.

That was 3 months ago. This thing gets use almost every day and is the coolest thing on the road.

I ride my bike and he motors along side wearing his helmet and knee pads.

It goes fast, but not too fast, and is incredibly sturdy and easy for him to steer.

He parks it in his spot in the garage when done and hooks it up himself to recharge. Batteries last a long time so it's not always necessary.

My son gets looks and comments everywhere he goes, and he always has fun whether there is a spark bar attached or not. They don't wear out too quickly, and aren't too expensive to replace... so we bought some extras for him.

I know he'll be using this for years to come.

Excellent quality, excellent fun, excellent price and value for the money.

You will not be disappointed!

We got this for my daughters 8th birthday and what was the first thing she does when she rides it? Wrecks.... But she had no clue of how to ride it. Other than that this is pretty cool. It does go just fast enough for someone who has never rode it before. I even got on it and I see why she wrecked on it. As soon as I took off on it, it really went. So be careful, even ride it before your child does, if they have never rode one before and explain how to ride it. And the spark thing is neat too. The charge on the scooter is still good without recharging yet and the spark has still a little left on it. Yeah the spark only last a little while but its still worth it. Also this was the cheapest place to buy it and received it the next day, just like they said I would. I love amazon and you can't go wrong from ordering this.

My son got this scooter for Christmas and loved everything about it. He was satisfied with how long the charge and the spark last. However, after only 2 weeks of owning it, the electric part didn't work more often than it did. The power switch would be turned on but it would flicker. When the light was off, it didn't work. He really liked it so we are going to hope we just got a bad one. We went today to Toys R Us to exchange it but they were out. The girl at the counter said it was the 4th brought back so far this year but we are going to chance it and get another when more come in.

I have used detonators with great success. Excellent tire that is able to stand up to the punishing roads of Oahu. Tires before suffered from punctures everyday.

I do not recommend the white sidewall. I pumped it up to 120 psi and possibly had too much stuff in my backpack. I commute to work. First use and first tire to blow a sidewall on me. Scared the heck out of the people next to me in an amazing explosion. I was able to laugh about it later.

I am still ordering these tires but i am sticking to the regular sidewall and the newer versions of these tires. I give the tire 1 star because of the experience, but would rate the detonators 5 stars.

I have about 1k miles on the tires and have no complaints. they seem to hold up nicely on pretty beaten roads I ride. Minimal flats; I think I have only had 2-3 since switching. (Normally >8 flats/1k mile) The rear tire has just began to show any significant signs of wear.

These tires were stock on my hybrid bike. They ride okay, are fairly smooth and fast, and still provide the necessary grip to bestow confidence in just about all situations (except snow and ice, of course). In the three months that I had these tires on my bike, I had numerous flats even though I ride on designated and well-maintained bike paths. I average about 120-150 miles a week and with the Detonators, it seemed that almost not a single week went by without a flat.

Last week, I went on a 25 mile ride and incurred two flats on the same ride. That was my breaking point and I finally purchased a different set of tires. The Detonators are quite annoying if you dislike having flats in the middle of nowhere several times a month.

Got some Maxxis detonators March 2010. I have about 1200-1300 miles on a set and they pooped out on me. I ride about 150-200 miles/week I've been cycling since I was 11 (did RAGBRAI on an old schwinn crisscross) and while I am not a certified mechanic, I know a fair amount about equipment. My LBS suggested these tires to me when in a pinch for some new ones. They did ok, but I have burned through a couple of patch kits. Right out of the gate I was getting flats. The latest nightmare happened while on my first 300 km brevet this past weekend. 5 flats. That really hurt considering I was trying to just finish, let alone stop and fix flats.

Either way, I'm going a different direction with my tires. The colors were fun and entertaining, the tires look good and perform well on smooth, debris free roads (what tire doesn't, and what road is free of debris?). But, I am going the way of practicality from now on and ordered me up some marathon +'s. I can't fix a flat every couple hundred miles, despite getting really good at changing tubes with these tires.

Got my wife and son new bikes and neither one had quick disconnect front wheels which made putting them in the back of my truck a pain in the butt. These worked perfectly to fix that! Super easy to install and the washers included made it easy to get a nice tight fit. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants to make their wheels quick disconnect without having to hunt around for hub conversion.

These DO work well to quickly remove the front bicycle wheel quickly.

But then there are FIVE pieces for each side that I must keep up with (including the little metal ring already on the bike). If I lose one, I think I can't just go to the hardware store and get another... So one night I lost a piece while putting my bike in my roommate's car, and I had to borrow her car to drive the 13 miles back to my job to look for that very specific little black part.

Also, every time I reattach the wheel, I end up with a different position for the handles. The kit comes with washers of varying sizes so that a person can set the handles perfectly vertical...but I have to reset them every time with different washers.

Surely there is a least a way to choose the needed washer size and then screw the entire contraption together, so that when you take the wheel off next time, all the pieces don't just fall on the ground.

Over all, I am indeed grateful that I have them!

My husband is 6'4 and this bike fits him comfortably. Comes with a lot of upgrades so that saved us a lot of cash there. The only think that is a must to replace is the seat, it is hard and very uncomfortable.

I purchased this bike for my 12 y/o son about a month ago. It arrived early and assembly was not difficult although you will need a good set of metric allen wrenches for the headset and seat post. The bike is made from quality materials and all components are high quality. My son is very tall for his age so I was looking for a well built bike with 24 inch wheels. I did shop around prior to purchasing through Amazon but they had by far the best price! All in all, we love this bike and would not hesitate to highly recomend it.
