Frogg Togg has come up with a sport twist on the shammy and made them in fun colors. I bought one at a sporting goods store for running. I did not right away connect the frogg togg towel to the shammy. I say kudos to them for thinking of yet another way to use one but you can get them cheaper other places.

Now as far as my experience with it for the purpose I got it for. I am training for a marathon so I run. I run a lot. I sweat a lot. The frogg togg is great for absorbing the sweat from my face and neck all while staying cool. I have benefited from its use mostly in a gym though while training on a treadmill. It is by no means tiny and runners need to pack light. I drape it over the arm of the treadmill and its there when I need it. I don't need it when running outdoors as much anyway because I have wind in my face unlike at the stuffy gym.

The golfer mentioned that his was drying out which proved useless to him and I can completely relate that if in sun or a hot car, yes it will dry more quickly. I think the tube it comes in is a little cumbersome so I stick mine in a gallon ziplock bag, take it out when I get to the gym, put it back in when I am done until I can get home to get it in the washer.

Overall, I like this much better than a towel. It is smooth as butter so it doesn't feel scratchy on my face. Also I have found that some fabrics ie. shirt sleeves or even using my hand to wipe sweat away can really burn my face. Some may be the salt in my sweat from my hands being wiped onto my cleaner more sensitive face and some may be the fabric softner/soap left behind in the towel or shirt. Either way I like my frogg togg and will continue to use it happily.

The towel does get cool, but the material feels like neoprene and kind of gross/slimy. I haven't had a problem with the smell, like some other have, but I keep it in the plastic container. I took this to the beach so my small children could use it in the stroller, but they don't really like it because of the weird texture. I think it could work for some people.

A tennis friend of mine used this one hot summer day and I flipped for it. Found it at Amazon at a great price. When it's dry, it's stiff; once you soak it in water, it takes on the texture of a soft flexible chamois. It's a rather large square; I cut it down the middle and hang it around my neck during those hot days on the tennis court, like a scarf (got to tuck it in to my top during play or it'll fall off). It feels cool as long as it's wet. As you become accustomed to the temperature, you can dip it in ice water, wring it out and it feels cold again.

Very happy I have it, however, I didn't realized there were two in one pack. I ordered two, one for me and one as a gift and ended up with 4. It's a product that won't wear out fast, so one is all you'll need for some time. When not using it, you should store it in it's container, which has a ventilation hole in it to allow it to dry out slowly. I think if you keep it in a ziplock bag where it's always damp, it may mold on you.

It's the best thing since the wheel! I use my every time I go to aerobics. I was it with my towels on hot, no fabric softner & it is great.

Product was a great color but it didn't get as cold as I expected. But overall, my kids like it and it doesn't make a mess in my bag.

Trikke Tech T8 Series 3-Wheeled Carving Scooter (Black) Reviews

Update : You can buy this Trikke at Costco now for around $269.....

The T8 is my second Trikke. I purchased a T78 back in September and I am totally hooked on Trikking. I am retired and ride my T78 about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours a day. It is an all body workout and is fun. There is a learning curve, but once you get past that you can really move on the Trikke. I have lost over 13 pounds since I started Trikking. It will do up to 17 mph on flat terrain and really fly down hills.

The T8 is the Top of the line Trikke in it's size category, which will work for someone up to 6'5" and 250 pounds. It folds up in a few seconds, weighs 20 pounds, and you can put it in your car trunk, carry it with you, and store it in the corner of a room standing on end when folded. The ride is great, and it handles like a sports car. If you want something that is fun, and to get in shape for the rest of your life, the Trikke will do it for you. You will actually become addicted to riding it.

Lately there have been reports on one of the forums of welds failing on both the T78 and T8 models where the leg attaches to the Trikke. The result could be an injury when this happens, so you should always check your Trikke before every ride. There have also been many reports of brand new Trikkes that have loose bearings in the steering column which require compressing the column even on a brand new Trikke, prior to riding it. If you are not mechanically inclined, this could be aggravating. I purchased a tool from one of the dealers to compress the column properly.

I've had a Trikke 8 for about 4 years. I bought the T-8 when it was called the Convertible (it came with the hard plastic wheels but could be fitted with the inflatable tires it now comes standard with). After about a month I decided to buy the inflatable wheels--best thing I could have done. The Trikke does have a learning curve. At first I could not climb our driveway that barely had an incline. After a few months I finally figured out how to navigate a pretty decent slope. It was almost like a switch came on in my brain and it just worked.

I can't say that the Trikke offers the best full body workout that you can get, but it has got to be pretty close. I really don't know a single part of the body that isn't used. I can even target the upper body workout by changing the height of the handle bars. Once you get the hang of this thing you find yourself in a rhythm that is similar to skiing the slalom. The inflatable tires grip so well that you can really carve without the fear of a crash.

The Trikke is not the perfect vehicle for every location. It's really the most fun on relatively flat surfaces with little wind in the face. It also require a bit more lateral room than a bike does (tough to use on tight roadways without designated bike paths). I will actually wait until the afternoon winds die down and ride in the evenings on occasion. Early morning rides are also great--the workout will fuel you throughout the day. I went out and bought a Garmin GPS/Heart Rate monitor so I could maintain a good level of fat burning. It's easy...but I always want to go faster and faster.

The only drawback to the Trikke is that your riding will constantly be interrupted by curious strangers who want to know more about the crazy looking device. I even got pulled over by the police a few months back...the cop wanted to know where he could get one. No joke!

If your riding environment is decent, there is no better or enjoyable type of workout. The only piece of equipment that might be just as fun is something called the Elliptigo (). Check it out, but don't pass by the Trikke 8 on the way.

I got one of these for my birthday, two days ago. I have been out practicing on it for short intervals throughout the weekend. It has got easier, and I occasionally get into a rhythm with it and I just go. I know that soon I will become more naturalized with the trikke, and that rhythm will become second nature. I am really pleased with it.

This was my second Trikke. We also have a T78. I bought this on the recommendation of a trainer who pointed out that although the frame sizes are very similar, the T8 allows more room for movement when the handlebars are raised to the proper height for someone like myself. I'm about 5'10" and I usually ride the T8 and my wife who is 5'4" rides the T78 although sometimes we switch for a little variety. Although the two Trikkes are very similar, there is a definite step up in the design and construction of the T8 which justifies the price difference.

I was blown away by the overall quality and detail of these rims. For the price I expected much less. They were supposed to be the same thing that I put nearly 3k riding trail only. The rear rim was destroyed on a failed attempt at a balance beam. When I unboxed the new rim it took all of about 30 seconds to decide to order the matching front. My only tip is to tension the spokes as some were a bit loose just out of the box. For the price it would be well worth it to take them to your LBS and have them do it for you if you don't know how.

This is simply the best 29" disc brake wheel/hub combo that exists. I rock these economy wheels on my latest 29er build and love them!

Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube, 26 x 1-3/8 SCHRADER Valve Reviews

Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube, 26 x 1-3/8 SCHRADER Valve

These are the thickest tubes I have ever seen, but they do what they saythey are thorn and puncture resistant. If you are looking for something lightweight, then pass these by, but if you don't care about weight and just want a tube that won't puncture from a tiny bit of debris, then these are the ones to get. I even ran over some glass with them once and cut the sidewall of my tire, but not the actual tube, so I would recommend these if you don't care about weight and just care that your tube stays intact.

Perhaps a little too thick when it comes to getting the valve through the hole.

Well, I'm torn. First, this tube outlasted a rear tire, which was simply worn out. The tube was in fine shape, so I used it for a new tire, and it worked great for thousands of miles without any flats. Today, while simply trying to remove the air chuck from my valve after filling, the entire valve stem snapped off in my hand. It seems to have fractured along the threads. I've never had this problem before. At least I wasn't on the side of the road. I think I'll knock a star off, because really, the metal part really shouldn't be the failure point...

Honest reviews on Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube, 26 x 1-3/8 SCHRADER Valve

I am looking for a tube that can last longer than your traditional tube. This one does the job. Heavy is expected due to its construction and weight. However, I am just riding for health so it doesn't bother me.
