I haven't used this yet. But the 50mm extender (2 inches) seems to be solid.

Based on the description, this product is sold in pairs. I was expecting 2 valve extenders, but only received 1.

so a bit dissapointed.

I screwed it on and filled my tube with air. I think I need a little teflon tape to keep it snug on the valve. Also smart to make sure the valve is screwed open very snug. Don't want to NOT be able to put air in.

Good quality, works, any problem would be with the user. Ask a bikeshop if you don't know how. Use teflon tape and wrap several times around the threads.

Review of Bell Array Bike Helmet

OK...I admit it...I don't have much use for bicycle helmets. I don't know how I've been riding for 50+ years and survived without wearing a helmet. I guess the same way I survived riding around in a car for many years before seatbelts and kid car seats. I must just be a survivor.

My problem with bike helmets years ago when people first started considering using them was they were heavy and they made you feel like you were a benched linebacker. They were like wearing a heated kettle in the summer and what do you do with it when you weren't riding? No...I don't need to wear a darn helmet.

Then I started to do a little mountain biking. Not quite the same as my past experience and now that I've reached the "age of maturity" and my nagging spouse has honed her skills...I decided to consider the merits of riding with a little protection for my noggin.

This brings me to the part where I share my experience of the Bell Array. I knew I wanted a Bell helmet because of past experience riding motorcycles. If I'm going to consider riding my mountain bike with a helmet on my head I wanted the quality of construction Bell is known for. I knew my decision on the Bell Array was a good one after the first ride. This thing is comfortable, very light weight, and most surprising to me was that it was "airy". It's almost like having a fan built into the helmet the way the air is channeled and circulated. I'm of the opinion that it very much feels like you aren't wearing anything at all...I like that for obvious reasons. That and the fact that it's one less thing that "she who must be obeyed" has to nag me about.

If you're like me and would prefer not to wear a pot on your head when taking a non-competitive bike ride but good sense or a nagging wife dictates otherwise...I highly recommend that you give the Bell Array a look. It's very lightweight, easily adjustable, comfortable, and cool. It's made for people who otherwise might hate bike helmets just as I did.

I crashed my bike 2 weeks ago by hitting a dog while doing about 20 mph. There was nothing I could do, not enough time to react, and I couldn't even get my hands out to brace myself. I landed head first with the Bell Array taking the force of a 300lbs rider falling onto it without anything else to soften the blow to the head but the helmet.

The helmet cracked in 5 places, the foam compressed to 1/2 the thickness it normally is, the plastic of the helmet allowed the helmet (and me) to continue travelling forward which likely lessened the overall force to the head.

I feel that I'm fortunate to be alive and question whether I would still be alive if it wasn't for my Bell Array helmet.

My recent purchase of this helmet is to replace the one broken in the crash. I trust this helmet with my life.

I purchased this helmet after hitting a dog at 30mph and destroying my old one. I was looking for comfort, air-flow, and weight, in that order. The primary reason I ordered from Amazon was they had this helmet for a great price, and I could get it here quick.

Functionally, this helmet has been great. I get plenty of air-flow through the vents to keep my head cool, and I have done several 2-3 hour rides, and rarely notice this helmet. Hopefully I won't need another helmet for a few more years, but if I do, this will likely be it.

Just getting back into cycling after 25 years removed, on a budget no less (aren't we all?). I wanted a decent helmet for under $100, one that got good reviews, and one that matched the rig. I also wanted one that had the inner foam "finished" all the way down the back of the helmet. The ARRAY does all this. All the reviews you read about sizing are dead onthis lid can be dialed in to fit perfectly! FYI, unless your head is a pin or a melon, go for the "M" size. My measurement was at the upper end of the sizing range on the MEDIUM, but found out this weekend that I still had enough slack to dial it out to fit a tight cap on underneath due to the cold weather we're having. Also, the back "webbing" seems to come down a little further than other helmets, offering more protection and a more confident fit. For the $$$, you can't go wrong!

PSAlso found out that Giro and Bell are the same Co.!

An excellent Shimano product. I have used other brands of skewers from well known manufactures but these skewers are outstanding and very high quality. They are easy to use and lock the wheel firmly and reassuringly in place. I think it's important to use a high quality and reliable product when your life may depend on it.

What kind of an idiot would zip tie the front wheel to the frame by the spokes? 3 spokes were bent, another 4 loose. I am going to have to go into a shop to get the front wheel spokes retensioned and checked for trueness.

Also... although this bike rides great, don;t expect the in the barrel shifter to work straight out of the box. I had to adjust it to stop it from hunting between second and first gear constantly. Just search for a video on youtube... not difficult... but a pain if you have never done it.

I will not ding the bike itself any stars for the idiot packaging this... because it really is very well designed and seems really well made.

Other than this, I can;t really fault the bike. It looks to me like it is of the same quality as my wife's Electra I paid over $700 for. And I could be mistaken here... but the position of the pedal looks very much like a copy of the Electra Flat Foot Technology thing... which makes this bike climb like a mountain goat.

I am a short guy... 5'6" and a half! The half is very important :) and it fits me fine.

The gear ratios overall are a little tall for my liking... but this thing is a real joy to ride. Cruising along San Diego with my wife and kids is just a lot of fun. I almost feel guilty seeing sweat drip off the kids as they try to keep up with me.

After a recent trip to San Diego, I decided it was time to buy a beach cruiser. Everybody on them seemed so happy and relaxed. They weren't racing to get somewhere, or negotiating some crazy mountain trail, they were just riding their bikes. I have a very nice mountain bike, but it rarely gets used (since I don't like riding down mountains!). My family enjoys riding bikes, and now that I have the cruiser, I enjoy going with them.

About the bike I didn't like the idea of getting a singel speed, so I got the 3-speed. Very glad I did. My neighborhood has slight inclines and declines, and I love shifting through the gears to find the sweet spot. The seat is big and comfy (though I may upgrade to an even bigger and comfier one since I'm a big guy). Everything on the bike seems well made. For the price, I got more than I was expecting. Paint looks good, hand grips are nice, and the shifter is Shimano. No complaints about the bike.

About the company I have been completely impressed with beachbikes. The bike arrived quickly and in good condition. There was a personalized note (hand written) welcoming me to the family and thanking me for the purchase. I was assigned a mechanic in the event I had any questions (none yet). The website is great as well. There are instructional videos on how to do just about all the maintenance on your bike, and those have helped me already from setting up the bike to adjusting my chain. I am confident that if I had any problems with the bike they would happily help me. GREAT customer service to this point.

Really like both the bike and the company.

I am a mountain biker and demand quite a bit out of my mountain bikes. I purchased the cruiser because I wanted to ride with my younger kids and be able to relax. I can tell you this bike is every bit as good as my 1200 bikes. It's well constructed and spins smothly. I'm impresed with the construction and if ther's a way to best describe the bike is by saying is SOLID. I've owned it for three two years and have had no problems.

A cheap tube that lasts alright, but has a tendency to get punctured easily. Its a relatively light innertube as well, so if you're looking for something light, this is a good choice, just make sure you have replacements if you're hitting the trail!

I bought two of these to replace the old tubes on a used bike I just purchsed. The first one I installed blew out while inflating it before it even reached recommended pressure. The second one made it two blocks before it also blew out. I then went to Wal-Mart and purchased a different brand middle of the road tube to confirm product defect and not a problem with the bike causing the blow outs. The Wal-Mart tube installed fine and has 20+ miles on it now with no problems. I wouldn't recommend these.

Rings I received have an interior diameter of at least 1 1/4", and an exterior diameter around 1 3/8". Caused inestimable confusion, especially as I was taking them out of the States to fit a custom bike. Choosing 2-Star at the moment, until I see if Amazon can resolve the problem while abroad.

There's not really much to say about this product as they do exactly what they're supposed to do, which is to reduce to interior diameter of the head tube from 1 1/4" to 1 1/8". You'll likely need to have them installed at a local bike shop unless you happen to have a headset press.

I bought this to try in place of Finish Line bike wash. I used to use a ton of the old stuff every time I washed my bike. I find that the (light) foaming of this ends up making me use a lot less, so the bottle is going to last much longer.

Pedros Bike Cleaner works well for routine

cleaning and maintenance.

I am also happy that this product comes in a

simple spay bottle, and does not need to be

mixed with any parts water.

I also recommend purchasing some good degreaser

for routine chain and gear cleaning.

In summary, Pedros Bike Wash is a good product

to have on hand.

I have tried many bike cleaning products and this is the best. Easy to use, just spray wipe and your done for hard spots like road or pine tar just let it soak a minute scrub with a soft brush and BAM! Your done.... The best use though is the way it cleans your chain. My chains take a bunch of punishment and get really dirty and when I use the green foam my chain looks like new. Wahoo!

Kolpin Polaris Ranger Xp 2010 Full-Tilting Windshield Reviews

I didn't really want to spend this much for a windshield for my Polaris Ranger, but after reviewing all the others, this one really stood out. The mounts seem very solid, the windshield is the thickest Lexan available and is the most versatile in varied weather conditions. Having a solid full windshield on my previous UTV was limiting, especially in warm weather. The ability to pop out the upper half of the windshield to two different positions allows cool ventilation and minimizes dust swirling in behind it, which also keeps it cleaner in dusty conditions. Even with the foam padding and the edge trim there is a bit of a rattle on rough trails with the windshield in the closed position, mostly due to the wide span and the Lexan being less rigid than glass. It looks like it should last a long time, just make sure to use some proper plastic polish to help keep the mud and dust from sticking.

Great windshield for our new Polaris Ranger. It rubs the hood a little and squeaks but other than that we really do like it. Installation was not simple but do-able. Great to open when it is dusty or hot.
