Hello

Very nice cassette for the money but it's not Chorus quality. The main reason for the purchase was for it's ratios, I do not need an 11 or 12 tooth cogs. I rather not use compact drive-train as less teeth usually means quicker wear. I wish Campy would offer real world ratios, as I rarely ever need anything bigger than 53x15.

Also, I strongly recommend using a Campy chain.

I've paired it with a non campy chain ... works but nothing like the smooth and precise action of the Chorus cassette and chain.

Thanks

Sandro

I should mention, this is the 1st time I've owned an electric bike. I wish I had gotten better advice on what to expect from these things.

The Good: In electric mode, the motor does deliver a good deal torque on level ground. The torque sensor works pretty well. One thing to keep in mind only turn the the controller on while off the bike and no pressure on the chain ring. I found the 10AH battery to be very generous and I was able to beat the 25 mile range several times.

This bike is overall poor quality. The brake and gear cables snag and bind. The rear derailer was out of line when I bought it, and I still cant get it to line up. For me, this is one of those "find a good gear and stick with it" bikes.

The inner tubes had to be replaced the tubes that came with bike were filled with Slime. Slime tubes on a $2,000 bike? Anyway, the Slime had settled to the bottom of the tire, froze, and both wheels were horribly out of balance. This out of balance caused the one disc rotor to warp. Now, the thing has become a money pit. I think the Slime settling may be a big factor in slowing the bike down. If you buy one of these, replace the tubes while you charge the battery up.

Going up a slope for more that 50 yards and the motor will cut off. This is a problem, you see, the bike weighs 60 lbs. and now I have to granny gear this thing up the rest of the hill. When the motor is off, the rear wheel has considerable drag. DON'T USE THIS BIKE TO CLIMB BIG HILLS it handled short hills fine.

EDIT: I found that when the motor shuts down on hills: power down the controller, get off the bike, power it back up, get back on the bike, and the electric assist works for me the rest of the way up the hill. I don't know enough about electric bike to say if this is acceptable or not, but this the only thing that works for me so far.

Also, with all the drag on the back wheel, the poor quality cables, the Slime and an additional 30 lbs, this bike is not very useful without engaging the electric motor. After about 3 miles on human power, I found it better to get off and walk the bike. Plan your trips well, you don't want to try to make it home on human power. The batteries are not detachable, so you'll have to go home to get the car to haul this thing home.

I so hate myself for buying this bike; what was I thinking?

I have been riding this bike for a few months now and it is a lot of fun. I've begun using it as my main form of transportation around the city. My 8mile ride to work only takes 25-30 minutes and I don't have to break a sweat if I don't want to. I did the 16 miles round trip on a full charge with full power assistance and 3 of the 5 battery indicators were still lit. The power assist can keep you pegged around 20mph and I've broken 30mph downhill. Passing other bikers struggling up a hill while I leasurely fly by is quite entertaining and even gets some comments like "cheater" occasionally. The bike gets checked out everywhere I park it and usually gets some questions.

It's an expensive bike and I know there are some less expensive electric bikes out there but this one has just been a joy. It's fast, fun, and gets me where I need to go for pennies per mile. I only have one complaint. After I put a rear cargo bag on the bike something about the weight seems to throw off the bikes stability. If I try to ride with no hands the front wheel will start to oscillate. I think the light weight flexible materials that the front fork is made of cause som sort of resonance. Probably safer to ride with your hands on the bar anyway.

ADDITIONAL REVEW: I have started using this bike much more often and I recently passed the 500 mile mark. I have begun having major spoke breakage problems on the rear wheel. Spokes have broken 3 times. The second time I had the whole wheel retentioned and within 40 miles another spoke broke. Now im having the wheel rebuilt THE RIGHT WAY. I have researched wheel building and the problem is clear. The rear wheel has 13 guage spokes when the hub holes were clearly drilled for a larger guage spoke. Because of this the spoke head sits at an angle and the "knee" of the spoke doesn't sit flush against the hub. This puts major stress on the spoke knees and is a common reason for spoke breakage. Every spoke that broke was on the knee. These spokes should have been built much better from the factory. Im being generous and only subtracting 1 star for this because I have really enjoyed the rest of the bike. I've already spent over $100 on spoke repairs and now I will be spending even more to have the wheel hand built with stronger 12 guage spokes.

FINAL REVIEW AFTER A YEAR OF USE: IZIP ended up giving me a whole new rear wheel with the motor for free and I was using it while my 12 guage wheel was being built. After a week I had my hand built 12 guage wheel and after a year and several thousand miles the bike has been perfect. Not a single issue.

I have been riding this bike because my neighbor wants to try My Busettii and the IZIP Ultra is a dog on both hill climbing and range. With no pedaling it will stop dead on any hill with over 4% slope (which is every hill). My Busettii and my friends E+ will go up really big hills (18% slopes) with no pedaling all. For $2400 they should give you a much bigger battery ! 36volts 10 ah is a kiddie wimpy battery. The Busettii Big 50 mile comes with a 52 volt 15 ah which is more than double the power for just $1790 or $700 cheaper than the Izip Ultra. Basically Currie is giving you a $300 battery on a $2400 bike which is too much like a scam. There are just too many bikes for less than $2400 that will give a much bigger motor, battery and warranty for $600--$800 less money. If you ride the bikes before you buy them it will be easy for you to see what I"m talking about. Good luck !

This also was all part of a tire and tube change out. this tube fits and seems to work just fine.

When you blow a tube, here's your replacement. Just cough up enough loot to get it to your door, remove the wheel, dismount the tire and tube and install this one. Works good, last a long time. So far, 30 days sitting in my shed, holding air.

Mmmmm Good.

This inexpensive, well built rear rack is listed on Steven Scharf's rear rack page and has many features of the better racks found there: three-strut construction, long horizontal dogleg, welded and recessed reflector/taillight mount, even pegs for a frame pump (tips 232mm apart). It has a Pletscher-style mousetrap hold-down that is easily removed if you have no use for it.

Mounting flexibility is where it loses stars. The photo shows that this rack's seatstay braces are made from round tube, just as in the better racks on Scharf's list. But on those other racks, the round-tube braces mount in clamps that give four-way adjustment: reach, drop, width, and seatstay angle. On this rack, they don't--a point that Scharf missed when he reviewed the rack from a photo.

On this rack, the braces are just flattened and drilled at both ends, and can bolt to the rack in your choice of 5 positions fore-and-aft, which gives you some adjustment for reach and drop (but not independently), and nothing for width or stay angle.

The lower mounts at the dropouts are height-adjustable, but only in 3 fixed positions marked 24", 26", and 28", referring apparently to nominal tire diameter. The 2 inch diameter increments should make the height marks 1 inch apart, but they're really 3/4 inch apart. It doesn't make sense, so just pick what fits. :)

The lower mounts come straight vertically down. If you have, say, an aluminum frame with fat seatstays that end at skinny dropouts, this rack won't work and you will need a rack whose lower mounts come in at an angle from the rear. You could spread this rack and mount it with thick spacers, or fabricate new lower mounts, but you'd have to refigure the load capacity and, really, there are other racks that will work without mods.

This is a great rack at a great price if you have a steel frame with tapered seatstays and all the dimensions happen to match the available choices. If not, another rack may work better. These measurements should help you decide before you buy. They're all taken by me, by hand, don't sue me if they're not exact:

Vertical, dropout hole center to underside of platform: 348mm (24" position), 369mm (26" position), 389mm (28" position).

Horizontal, front of platform to projected dropout hole center: 194mm

Front of platform to seatstay brace hole centers: 12mm, 32mm, 47mm, 62mm, 77mm (yes, the first jump is bigger)

Seatstay brace length: 165mm (the braces are bent, but this is the straight-line length between hole centers).

Platform length overall, while we're at it: 375mm

This rack was easy to install, lightweight, and very handy to use. I bought this mainly to haul groceries with a foldable picnic cooler strapped to the rack with an elastic cargo net. Works great! The rack is very strong and stable, and for the price a very good value.

Good and sturdy. The only problem I had was with the lower bolt that screws in next to the chain. It was to long and prevented me from changing into the 2 smaller gears. But I just backed it out and ground off the extra length and put it back in. Works great now.

Honest reviews on Bike Rear Rack, Aluminum 3 Leg Rear Bike Rack with spring,Black

First off, the picture of the item is correct as of 5/12/2012. It does come with a reflector, and has several adjustments to all it to fit most bikes. I had no problem attaching it to my Schwinn 26" hybrid (target brand).

The only problem I had was the to aluminum post that attach the rack to the bike just below the seat posts came bent. I had to bend them back in order for them to line up correctly.

Also, the rack had some scratches on it even though it was the only item in the shipping box. It must have been scratched before shipping.

It took me maybe 30 minutes to install this rack. It wasn't terribly complicated, but the directions are sparse and didn't jibe with my bike. For example, the 4 screws provided (2 large, 2 small) fit the reverse of the printed directions (small screws on bottom near wheel hub, large screws on mounting bracket at top). No big deal, but then the 2 provided nuts only fit small screws, and I needed them on the large screws at top.

Another issue is that while the rack leg is adjustable to fit different size bikes, I had no success at using the correct 700 setting, and had to settle for 26" (which lowers the rack). The top mounting struts would not screw together on the 700 setting. And with the 26" setting, the rack isn't quite level. The bottom screw was also too long and interfered with the chain when it was on the small (outside) sprocket.

I took the rack to my bike shop, where they installed nuts on the struts and a shorter screw on the bottom. Works fine, but it's still not entirely level. And the rack could be further back. I think the short bracket length at top puts it too close to the seat to allow a travel bag on top of the rack.

Postscript-I contacted the supplier, and they are sending out a set of longer 8" struts. Hoping this will correct for the 700 setting and make it level.

Went looking for a Road Bike and looked at all the usual ones. Trek, Giant, Diamondback etc. looked at all the available options and the relative pricing. Came across the Tommaso one day while riding my Mountain bike in a near by golf course where a bunch of people usually ride in groups. Liked the look of the bike but didn't know much about it. Did a google search and saw that the company has been around since 1985 and was recently sold to a private firm. Looked up the website and saw that they sell there as well as through Amazon. Looked at there offerings and fell in love with the Monza. The components are very decent in a entry level bike and the price was right. Decided to "shoot" and purchased the bike through amazon. All I can say is "WOW" what a bike! I just picked it up from my LBS where they built and adjusted it for me. When I got home I decided to take it for its inaugural run. I am totally impressed. The bike not only looks good. But rides and handles awesome. I highly recommend this bike to anyone who wants to get into biking and like me, wants to stand out from the usual crowd with the other names I mentioned above. BTW. If you buy from Giantnerd.com there is no shipping vs. Amazon charges $50.00! WTF!! That's the only downside from ordering here. BUT I called Giantnerd and they were nice enough to refund the 50 bucks! Great customer service guys!

There's no indication in the pictures or the description what shoe sizes 'medium' and 'large' correspond to. I guessed and ordered the large, and on the outside of the box it says it is adjustable for US sizes 2-4.

My eldest daughter bought these with her birthday money. It was a long and protracted decision which skates to buy, but when she saw these ones she fell for them straight away. Thankfully they are one of the few that can be shipped to Australia.

The adjustment mechanism is much easier to use than her previous pair, and the skates are apparently very comfortable as she didn't want to take them off! The quality is great for the price! It's a little difficult for her to adjust them by herself at the moment, but I think that that's mainly because she's in the smallest size setting and they're still a little too big, so we need to cinch them in quite tightly around the ankle to get a good fit. I can see that this problem is going to go away as she grows a little.

Overall, I'd strongly recommend these skates to anyone with a beginning skater. They seem sturdy and the wheels have enough roll to be usable, while not being so touchy as to cause too many falls. We're looking forward to years of fun with them!

Got these in a timely manner and was very pleased with the product. They were a Christmas gift for my granddaughter and she loves them. They adjust one size (12 to 1) so I know she will get a lot of use out of them. These are well made and very sturdy.

I put these on my 2006 CBR600RR and I can't say anything here that hasn't already been said. If you're considering these tires and reading reviews like I did before Imade this purchase then you've read all the amazing feedback from everyone else. All I can say is that "+1" everything they all said. Go ahead and buy them ... you won't regret it. If I ever wear these out, I'll replace them with exactly the same thing.

Bought these tires after reading many, many reviews. Was a little uneasy after looking at them as they looked to be more of an ATV tire once received compared to the sport bike tires that I had on the R1. After installing them and breaking them in for the first 500 miles took them on a road trip and I think these are the tires that I'm going to stick with for the life of the bike. I've ridden on dunlaps, pirelli as well as a few others and for a highway ride these are what I prefer. They do make a little more noise, like a car tire would. And at first I looked back thinking there was a car right up on me a time or two. But they ride very well.

Also if you lay on the throttle when it has been raining you can def tell when you go from the harder rubber to the softer. So be careful out there. It just might send you for a loop if your not careful.

Geat tire! best tire that i every used! and one of the best things that i bought for my bike! Its compound is lasting and its thread design is great! i love my pr3's and michelin is an awsome brand!

Honest reviews on Michelin Pilot Road 3 Front 120/60ZR17 Motorcycle Tire

I purchased this tire based on the fantastic reviews the Pilot Road 2 had.

These suggestions were from the web forum for my particular bike and they rave about it.

I went from a 210 rear to this this style in a 190 size. Not as wide or mean looking (they don't make anything over 190 size) but much better handling.

I have not worn this down yet but the boys tell me I'll tripple the miles I get from this tire over my last which was a Metzeler.

I'll have to update this as I find out how it wares down, but the handling is great.

This bicycle arrived with a manufacturing defect that was so apparent that it should have been noticed by quality control. But the seller, Cycle Source Group LLC, decided to ship it anyway. The bicycle cannot be ridden because of this defect.

Seller has acknowledged defect and promises correction.

Seller needs to improve their quality control considerably.

Addendum to review: Cycle Source did attempt to correct the problem by sending a replacement, but unfortunately this did not work either. The problem was solved by this reviewer by hybridizing existing parts.
