I wear these to run/cycle in and to work as breathable socks.

They are fantastically breathable and comfortable. Compared to mass produced cotton socks, I've never thought my feet were too hot or too moist no matter my footwear (I wear composite safety toe work boots). The height is adequate for my applications in running and cycling, and since they are not specific to being boot socks I can't really penalize them for not being quite tall enough. The stitching is virtually impossible to feel across the toes, at the ankle, or around the Achilles.

I expected nothing less than fantastic from Pearl Izumi and they certainly delivered.

Having logged thousands of mile in my bicycle over many years, I have had opportunity to try many socks for many supliers. Same shoes, different socks.

These are comfortable, durable, washable, and cool. None better, in my opinion.

Best Deals for Pearl iZUMi Attack Sock 3-Pack

Pearl iZUMi, as most cyclist already know, has been in the game for a long, long time. This experience shows in the Attack socks. They have an excellent fit and are slighly taller than the original. They are not, however, as tall as the currently popular style of "park-freeride-downhill type" socks that go to the base of the calfalmost like a tube sock... I remember the original Pearl iZUMi socks I wore growing up in the '80's... now those were very short, just bearly over the ankle bone... I also welcome the black verses the old white color onlyI mountain bike and do alot of trail work, so the black is much better for not showing the dirt and grime of these activities. Because they are so close fitting and stretchy I don't expect them to last much more than a season, but if they do, great, bonus. For a great fitting riding sock from a core Colorado cycling company, these are deliveringand if they last into fall, they will get the last star!

Honest reviews on Pearl iZUMi Attack Sock 3-Pack

Overall, I like the socks. However, I purchased a size XL based on manufacturer's sizing chart. However, the XL is a little too large for my feet (I wear a size 11 US). If you wear anything smaller than a size 11.5 US shoe, I recommend buying a size L instead.

I bought this to help for my cycling. It's great. Then I started to use it to run. My shoe size is 7.5D. And these fit me really well. I'm going for a second order.

This also was all part of a tire and tube change out. this tube fits and seems to work just fine.

When you blow a tube, here's your replacement. Just cough up enough loot to get it to your door, remove the wheel, dismount the tire and tube and install this one. Works good, last a long time. So far, 30 days sitting in my shed, holding air.

Mmmmm Good.

This bike is actually very easy to put together if you have the right tools. The only things that I had slight problems with were the seat, it isn't very comfortable. However, that can easily be replaced with a cushioned seat. And also that I am 5'8 and a 24 inch wheel is probably making the bike too short for me. BUT that was my mistake because I could have bought the 26 inch. So really just the seat. Other than that, the bike is nice and is a fair price for the product.

This bicycle will require you to perform several maintenance repairs yourself, or take it to a bike shop. The wheels were obscenely out of alignment upon arrival. Plus the rear derailereur pulley was bent into the bike wheel. Huffy may put out good bicycles, but this is not one of them.

The bike arrive quickly and nicely packaged. Assembling was a piece a cake. I'm actually impressed with what we got for the money. The best thing of all was that my daughter loved it.

The only negative I have is that the left grip shifter (for the front derailleur) broke while I was testing it out. Ended up just replacing them with $30 sram grip shifters. Now the thing shifts nicely.

I would have given 5 stars but putting a bike together is a pain. Otherwise, great bike for a 10 year old girl.

I really didn't want to fiddle with a new wheel but my rear was creaking a bit too much after a few rides in the first week. I would suspect a well built wheel would be de-stressed prior to delivery to the customer. That said -I don't believe these wheels were EVER tensioned enough to apply spoke stress. On my tension meter I couldn't even register a kilograms force reading -meaning the tension was too low to translate accurately. I know just enough about wheels to make me dangerous with a nipple wrench -too much time was spent tensioning these up to a standard. (BTW, I used Bill Mould's DVD on wheel-building to guide me on the tensioning process -it's no-nonsense and to the point of a basic wheel build -not a documentary or physics discussion on the bike wheel like some of the books I have read).

Overall, Shimano Ultegra hubs great; A23 wide rim for cyclocross good; DT non-butted spokes okay; 32 holes and lightweight they are not but I purchased these specifically for the width with hopes of a smoother, better cross ride to learn the ropes and build some confidence at the races.

Lastly, with wider rims if you use cantilever brakes you might need to buy road brake pads and holders to allow for the extra space the wider rim uses. I paid 60 dollars for 2 pairs of Rival brake pads -you can spend less.

For us novices, it's really hard to justify paying 2 up to 10 times as much for pro level wheels.

The make-up of these wheels are decent so I think this would be a good buy if you are a newbie rider, are somewhat handy or you know somebody handy. If you have to take them to the bike store for pads&holders and retensioning figure on the extra cost.
