Super easy assembly, seems very well made. I really like that the tires have good tread & are solid (no flats or air to add). Definitely designed with 2-4 year olds in mind. Low center of gravity, wide deck to stand on, low handle bars with thinner grips for small hands. Looks awesome too. My son loves it!

I was taking a walk and saw a little boy who seemed to be about my grandson's age, riding this adorable scooter. I walked over and looked at the brand as my grandson's 3rd birthday was coming up. When I saw it was made by YBIKE, that sold me. My grandson already has the YBIKE bicycle and his balance skills are extraordinary. As this product was a bit beyond my ability to pay, I offered to go in on it with the other grandma who agreed. Our grandson's birthday was yesterday and he and his friends loved the scooter and took to it immediately.

Best Deals for YBIKE "Kicker" My First Scooter (Red)

My real issues is the age / difficulty of the scooter. The description says: "For children still too young enjoy a big kids Scooter, the YBike Kicker is ideal for balance and motor-development while allowing the little ones to feel like a big kid". The thing is that you HAVE to be a bigger kid to ride this. Balance is really hard and the Scooter does not stand on its own. I have to say I was very disappointed. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't be buying this scooter. Maybe when my son gets a bit older but for now not so much.

I just received the wheels; I haven't ridden them and hope to update this when my new bicycle is built and I do. So far, they look very good and weigh a lot 1150/950g including skewers.

They come with spoke holes uncovered so rim tape or Veloplugs are needed I use the latter on my other A23 wheelset and they work fine.

Reviews of EWheels - Electric Trike Bicycle - EW-54 - Red

EWheels - Electric Trike Bicycle - EW-54 - Red

I bought this trike last year on Bikemania.biz. Exact same model. It arrived in a crate, fully assembled and ready to ride. I got it for less than $1,000 and that included tax and shipping. Of course, the price of everything has gone up, so I guess it's not a big surprise that this did, too. It has been a great alternative to driving and walking. It takes me an hour to walk one way to work (hey...I'm 60yr old) but I can make it in 15 minutes on this. There is a little learning curve when it comes to driveways and sidewalks, but I eventually learned that it is better to accelerate than to brake on a downslope; the weight of the back end will make it hard to control if you try braking, so just speed up a little and you'll pull up out of the dip easier. I do feel quite conspicuous on the thing, but I've got it 'tricked out' with all manner of color-changing lights (also available on Amazon) which make you ridiculously visible at night...but that's what I'm aiming at. I also bought (on Amazon) a ClassIII safety windbreaker to wear after dark, and it has saved my life (literally). I work in an ER so I see the results of drugs, cell-phones and just plain stupidity when it comes to bikes vs autos. It can get up to 17mph, which is fast enough to out-run a barking wiener dog. I haven't tested the limits of range, yet, but so far it hasn't let me down getting to work and back and running errands. The basket will hold a lot of groceries, and since I don't have a car any more (l gave it away, but that's a story for another time), it has saved a lot of wear and tear on my neck and shoulders trying to pack 40lb of groceries home. I have taken the dog to the vet and back, with a fluffy blanket for comfort. I recommend a lock for the basket if you are going to leave your helmet or any valuables in it for more than a couple of minutes. Most of the time, I use the bike version of The Club to lock it up at a bike rack, but I also have a very heavy bike chain I use to secure it while I'm at work. You can also get locks that have an alarm that'll go off if it's disturbed. At 75lbs, this is not a dash and grab item, but if a thief will take an ATM out of a store, they can take just about anything. Fortunately, the security guys at my job keep an eye on it for me, and will park their car out back and wait for me if it's after dark when I leave. It's been a lot of fun. You can't let yourself get too self-conscious about people pointing and staring. Kids love it, especially at night with all the lights flashing, and I often hear, "COOL BIKE" when I pass by. One thing I wish I'd researched before buying is the location of bike repair services, especially ones that work on electric vehicles. There have been a few problems with it, but nothing major and nothing electrical. You just plug it in to a standard outlet to recharge. Make sure you keep a wrench with you and be willing to get your hands dirty if either of the chains slip off. Remember, it will still run on battery if your chain disengages, but you'll use the power up faster. I haven't had to use just the pedals yet....thank goodness; it IS heavy and I would likely wind up having to get off and push. There really is nothing like cruising along with a little wind in your face, especially if you've had a tough day. You will get to see and hear things you had forgotten existed when you were boxed into your car, and if you want to feel like a kid again......it's worth every penny :)

I have to agree with the negative reviews on this product that I've seen on Amazon. I purchased this trike in March 2012 and have had nothing but trouble with it. It is a cheap Chinese made product without quality control. As previous reviews have stated their support is a joke. YOU, THE BUYER, ARE THE SUPPORT! Problems I have had are as follows, the pedals broke first because they are cheap plastic ones, the support center did send me some pedals, the same plastic type, I threw them away and went to WalMart and bought some good metal pedals. The rear basket does not fit to the frame well, fortunately there are holes drilled in the clasps so I was able to use cotter pins to hold down the basket. The front tire that came with it must have been a bad spare because shortly after receiving it, I had to replace it and the tube when the tire blew out. The fuse overheated and melted part of the plastic box containing the battery. I had to remove the burnt out fuse holder and replace it and the fuse. Later the battery connection broke off and I had to solder a good replacement connection to get the bike running again. The cheap seat broke as well and I replaced it with a more sturdy and comfortable seat. Finally the bike literally broke. I was not racing or going fast (Thank God I wasn't), just making a left turn after the light changed and the frame broke throwing me up against the curb. It cost me $117.70 to have it welded and a lot of aggravation trying to deal with E Wheels Support (still haven't been reimbursed). Except for the plastic pedal I have not gotten any support even though the website states the EW 88 is guaranteed for 1 year. My advice is DON"T BUY FROM E WHEELS or an E Wheel bike from their dealers.

Best Deals for EWheels - Electric Trike Bicycle - EW-54 - Red

I would never purchase a product that tries to use fake reviews to get sales. 5star review has 8 Ewheels products and nothing else. There should be a way to flag this sort of thing. Amazon is a great resource but only if you can trust the sellers.

Honest reviews on EWheels - Electric Trike Bicycle - EW-54 - Red

In checking the previous review (1 star) which said that ewheels makes their own reviews, it appears true. Clicking the "show previous reviews" from each of the 5 star reviewers, all of their reviews are for ewheels products -all different products -all with a catchy "My daughter bought this for me" or "I have a caramel corn business and this is my mobile office." Definitely questionable business tactics. Will not buy.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for EWheels - Electric Trike Bicycle - EW-54 - Red

Make sure you click on the name of the person reviewing the ewheels product and then look at how many 5 star reviews each of them have written... all 5 stars, all on multiple ewheels products... all of them attempting to correct the issues the REAL customers have with their product. This is a sad and poor way to run a business. BEWARE.

I like that you can purchase the Planet bike protégé 9 and switch it out to other bikes you own by buying just a new bracket. You can only ride 1 bike at a time so it's nice a company is considerate of it's customers. Awesome computer for your bike btw.

I used this to put my computer on the accessory mount over the front chainrings on a TerraTrike Rover. It was just long enough to make it from the sensor mount to the accessory mount.

Exactly like the sensor and mount that came with your computer, but with a longer wire between them.

I set these tires up as a tubeless set-up with Stans No Tubes and using Stans wheel set. On a long steep descent, my rear tire blew. I was going slowly, so I cam to a stopLatex was sprayed everywhere. I proceeded to install a tube, inflated and the sidewall did not hold and blew out. Not stoked on this. I think the tire compound is fine, just the bead not tight enough to hold high pressure.

After spending a year on Hutchinson road tubeless tires I was ready for something different. Atoms were too lightweight and puncture-worthy, Intensive too heavy. Maxxis Padrone tires are middle of the road in weight, and super fast rolling. Their carbon fiber bead was easy to mount too.

These were the first tubeless tires I was able to install and inflate without an air compressor! They fit nice and tight like most carbon fiber beads on my Stans NoTubes converted Vuelta Corsa rims, seal it once and forget about leaks. They stay nice and firm for a long time with minor pumping required no more or less than ordinary tubes.

After 1000 miles I can say they have a pleasant and swift ride. In short they're another great replacement for Hutchinson tires. A really nice bonus that each tire comes with a set of tire levers.

After wearing my first set out to the point of missing a patch of rubber, there was no hesitation about getting a new set.

These tires are super fast and give me the confidence to corner at high speeds. Seal it once and forget about leaks; they stay nice and firm for a long time with minor pumping required on each ride. They are bomb-proof.

Put these tires on bike. Ride 2000 miles. Repeat. All of 2 flats in 2 sets that's it. Light, tough, puncture resistant when properly inflated (110-115 psi). Joe-bob sez: check em out.

After years of riding the Pro Race 2 on my Giant TCR C1 with Mavic Equipe and Elite wheels I decided to go

with the Pro race 3 on my Kestrel RT-800 and my Columbus steel cafe bike. Here's the skinny: there are no

grippy-er tires on the market. Rain or shine these are the best. The tread is very durable, in spite of the

stickiness, which is very cool.

However, the puncture resistance is poor. The sidewall strength is poor. I have had too many pinch flats going

through potholes in the city. I keep them pumped up above 110# to combat the flaws in our pavement here in SF

and get decent rolling resistance for my 170# weight (my top weight has been 178#). But I still get bead breaks

and pinch flats.

They are extremely light. This makes them fast in a race. However, the max pressure is only 116#'s which is low

for a race tire at this price point. My other wheels with Vittoria Diamante Pros, which go safely to 145#'s

offer less rolling resistance and have NEVER had a flat.

Since I no longer race I am changing tires to the Diamante Pro and the Ultremo DD.

Best Deals for Michelin Pro 3 Race Road Tire

I have been riding on these tires for 4 weeks now. I live in a very crowded area where there are lots of road debris; for the amount that the tires had to endure, I am very satisfied with the results so far. When I used to ride with cheap tires, I did not suffer from external punctures that often. But when I did, glass would be found embedded deep into the previous tires I used.

With the Pro 3's, I have not experienced one single puncture so far. I am impressed with the way these tires were designed. Although the front one is developing some cuts, the tires have proven that: one, they effectively shield against glass; two, the inner layers are resistant enough to withstand piercing, even if the outer layer is cut (the outer layer of any tire is going to be cut at some point, under harsh conditions).

Do yourself a favor and give the Michelins a try. Replacing several tubes and applying multiple patches can end up costing more money and time in the long term, more so than expensive tires that reduce puncture risk to a minimal level, so you might as well buy high-end tires.

Honest reviews on Michelin Pro 3 Race Road Tire

Terrific rolling resistance, good tread life (about 3000 miles), smooth riding, and very puncture resistant. Michelin Pro Race 3 is my new standard tire for high performance riding on all my bikes. If I got back into racing these would be my tires there also. Switched from Continental Grand Prix about 3 years ago. I'm amazed about how much difference these tires make. Better to put a few bucks here than just about anywere else for a serious cyclist.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Michelin Pro 3 Race Road Tire

When I first put these tires on, I loved how much quicker and light they felt, especially when climbing. Cornering was about the same as my previous Bontrager Race. However, the sidewalls on these are paper thin and cannot take a pounding. I think it's because I'm 6'4" about 215lbs, and if I hit a large enough bump or pothole at speed, then a tire is going down. I called Michelin and sent my first set of tires to them. They replaced them for free which was great. I use Michelin Kryliums in the winter and have not had a flat. I changed to the new Pro 3 Race they sent me and went on a quick ride, 7 miles and my front sliced open!

If you are heavier or ride on harsh roads, these are not for you.
