My 9-year-old son bought the scooter with his birthday money. He already had a Razor scooter, but was excited about the "Graffiti" feature. When he first used it, he loved it. Like all Razor scooters, he was able to assemble it quickly out of the box. It came with 6 pieces of chalk, with a spiral cut in the cone shaped tips to fit into the scooter springs. After two short trips around the block, the first three were completely used up. Refills are available for $5 for a package of 6. That's $2.50 per use this product will become very expensive with time. We tried fitting the scooter with Crayola chalk of the same shape, but without the spiral cut to twist them in they didn't work. He is very sad, and is sorry he wasted his $50 of birthday money.

From a strictly scooter perspective, it's a nice machine. Nice colors, works fine.

The drawback is the nonsensical chalk-drawing mechanism. As long as you have specially manufactured (and expensive) chalk, it's fine. But if you decide not to spend your money on chalk refills (and the chalk wears down FAST), the chalk holder is a serious nuisance. Pressing down on the unloaded chalk pedal will damage it. And even if you're not pressing down on it, the empty springs will rattle noisily on all but the smoothest surfaces.

The chalk holder CAN be permanently removed, but with great difficulty. If it could have been easily removed and ignored, I'd have given the scooter four stars.

This is an awesome scooter, my 4 year old loves it. The build quality is great and easy for her to open up when she wants to use it.

I agree that it does use a lot of chalk, but you have to expect that with something that is drawing non stop?

I did come up with a way to use any brand chalk with the scooter. Just click the link or search YouTube for "USE ANY BRAND CHALK in Razor Graffiti Chalk Scooter ". With using crayola chalk you can cut your cost down to about $1.25 per refill, and have bigger pieces.

I bought this for my son for his birthday and the scooter is great! It rides smooth and is good quality like other razor products. We really did not care for the chalk. The drawings by the chalk are nothing like the picture. In fact, you can barely see them. The chalk also goes fast. You also have to purchase special chalk to insert, which is a continuing expense. I have not figured out how to move the "chalk holder". It seems to have a mind of its own. I am glad I purchased this scooter, but I would not pay more for the chalk.

I purchased this bike from Amazon. It arrived in a large box the bicycle box was inside an outer packing box. It was well packed minimum packing material. The bicycle needs to be assembled The handle bars need to be attached. The seat and front wheel need to be attached. The pedals also need to be attached. Minor adjustments needed to be made to the brakes, but was not difficult. Assembly is not difficult once you figure out how to do it The manual that came with the bike is generic not specific to this bike. I would suggest you go to the Schwinn website first before you buy this or any bike on-line to see if you want to handle the assembly yourself. I went on the Schwinn website and watched a video that takes you step by step through the assembly process. Was able to assemble the bike in about 45 minutes following the video. You will need simple tools a set of a hex keys (Allen wrenches), a screwdriver, adjustable wrench. You also need lubricant (I used white lithium grease).

The seat attaches with a quick release mechanism, as does the front wheel. It makes it easy to adjust without the need for tools.

The pedals just screw on be sure you put the left on the left and the right on the right as they are not interchangeable.

You might want to take it to a bike shop to adjust the breaks.

Overall, a good purchase.

For the price it is much more than I expected. Assembly was a piece of cake. A very comfortable bike for the leisure rider like myself.

I have tried them all mountain bikes, road bikes, etc. But this bike is the ultimate in comfort and function. I did research on the steel frame vs. aluminum frame. I chose this because my research concluded that the steel frame is not lighter but far more comfortable and durable.

I researched the types of bikes available today according to their purpose and I'm very happy with this bike. I sold a mountain bike and replaced it with this one. This is a Comfort bike and for me, it's unbelievably comfortable. The stock seat isn't bad at all but I replaced it with a Mens Cloud-9 seat anyway. The weight of the bike surprised me as it turned out to be lighter than I expected. The 21 gears are the same setup and ratio as you see on most bikes. The handle bars are adjustable so you can raise them up or lower them a bit to your preference. It definitely has improved comfort on longer rides. I'd have no reservations about recommending this bike.

After saving my PNC points up where I could finally get "Sears" gift cards, I purchased this bike. I haven't enjoyed biking this much since I was probably about 10 or so...lol. The aluminum frame and 21 gears make this bike an absolute pleasure to ride. Very adjustable for anyone from probably around 5'6 to 6'1. If you want to take a ride of less than 10 miles or so, you can certainly do that in comfort. The seat and seat shock really work very good and the front fork shock really soaks up the bumps. It's nothing for us to take a 2-6 mile ride without blinking an eye. Now I wouldn't recommend anyone try and use this for extreme or super hardcore type riding. That just isn't this bikes cup of tea.

However, if want to go off the beaten path a bit and do some moderate trail riding, you can certainly do that with this bike. If you don't have one now, this bike goes fast enough to make you wish you had a bicycle helment! If your looking to ride to or through a local park, you have found your bike. If you haven't been comfortable or confident with a bike in a while, this bike will absolutely get you back in the game. I can't tell you enough how satisfied I am with this purchase. Far supassing my expectations. If you want to have some comfort and some smiles as you rack up the miles... this IS the bike for you.

I ride a lot (19.2 miles into work and 19.2 miles home) mostly on closed course bike paths. I've had my share of flats with other tubes but with these... The tubes are practically tires by themselves.

For those who say that these will add to your mile time... When it comes to shaving weight, start with the rider. I'm well over 200# and can still average 20mph into work on the first two rides of the summer. I'm hoping that as the season progresses I'll be able to drop my excess pounds. If shaving 3oz. off my tubes can get me to 20.5mph, by the time I drop 30lb from my less than aerodynamic paunch perhaps I could reach 40mph... or perhaps not.

I am riding desert roads, and let me tell you what: that they are the nastiest around, cracks, pot holes, sharp objects, and other obstacles. In results, I had 6 flats in one day, since the inner tube was beyond repairs,I came back 4 hours later. I was impressed when I received it, I was expecting a little higher quality inner tube and instead I had ultra thick heavy duty tube, I have been riding it for 60 miles so far without any problems, and decide to upgrade the back also as well, considering the price it is a awesome deal. However one regret, manufacturer should have extend the stem to an extra 10mm, the actual stem size made it hard to inflate on my new alloy rim.

Seems to keep thorns out but it is a little challenging to install due to its thickness. I hope it gets easier, but, then again, I should never need to replace it, right?

Honest reviews on Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube 700 x 18-23 (27 x 1) 32mm

In fairness this should be 3.5 stars: I rounded down because lots of others gave it 5 but this needs to be noted. Yes... it is very heavy-duty and I have not yet flatted on them--but they are REALLY heavy. Put them on both tires, and you might see your average speeds go down .3-.5 mph. So if you are a city commuter and losing a minute or two doesn't matter... they're great. If you're concerned about pace (not just races: but keeping up with your Saturday morning group...) then note that this IS a trade-off. They take a bit of elbow grease to mount...

These tubes are HEAVY DUTY! When you receive these, you will be amazed at the quality of them compared to most of the tubes available.

I have not had a flat since installing these, (over 850 miles). I typically ride between 20 and 50 miles almost every day.

I've heard all of the arguments against these tubes. Yes, they are heavier than those light weight racing tubes, but I'll tell you what, If you and I are riding the same race, and we are physically equal, you might be leading me by f seconds at the end of 20 miles. However, if you have a flat, I'll pass you and win the event while you are still repairing your light weight tube. Also, I can skip a snack the night before, and lose those extra few ounces and make us equal again.

Bell Road Bike Tire with KEVLAR Review

Bell INERTIA Road Tire 26' x 1 3/8' Black Kevlar
Customer Ratings: 2.5 stars
Buy Now
I recently bought this Bell 27 inch road tire and I'd say, I am pretty happy with it. I ride the roads of New York City and every morning, the roads are littered with broken glass and sharp pebbles and potholes. So far, my tires have held up to its reputation of repelling glass or any sharp items. I will inspect my tires after every ride and will see some glass lodged into it, and i will dust it off and it just falls off. One time a glass DID penetrate but not deep enough to affect my inner tubes. Its a little more difficult to put on than other tires but very much worth it. And as a little bit of info, this tire can be pumped 75 to 90 psi. Happy Riding!!!!

Addendum:

More than a year (its now 8/8/11) after I bought these tires, and after miles and miles of riding, i finally got a flat. BUT--the flat is not because the tires failed--a spoke poked through and punctured my tubes from the inside! The tires held and protected my tubes. Some people here said that Bell makes bad stuff. Maybe they do, but these tires are far from bad. Best tires and best purchase I ever made....

There are several reviewers that are confused about bicycle tire measurements. For good web site that has a full description just look at Sheldon Brown's article

These 27" and 26" tires are made to fit older 10 speed/english racer type bikes. You should remember that the 26"x1-3/8" size predates the MTB era by at least three decades, they came first. If you have an old Raleigh three speed or a 1970s Peugeot then these are the tires you need in the appropriate rim size. In general, if you have a Mountain bike or your bike is less then 20 years old, these are probably the wrong tires for you.

I have used both the 27" and 26" versions on my vintage bikes. I gave them 4 stars because they are about durability and puncture resistance. Both sizes are suited for commuting, city, country roads and heavier riders. If you are considering racing I would chose another tire, but then you wouldn't be on a 50 year old 3 speed bike would you?

As far as slipping off the rim, common installation problem. The bead on tires of that era has problems with the seating the inner tube. The inner tube around the filler valve is thicker so the tire sits on top of it if you aren't careful. Inflate the tire with any part of the bead resting on the tube, the tube will shove the tire off and explode. You can push the filler valve as far as you can into the tire after you mount it, partially inflate the tube when you mount it, stretch the tube, put it inside the tire and mount them together, to make sure there is no part of the tube under the bead.

This listing needs a warning that the 26" X 1-3/8 size is not the same rim size as standard mountain bike and cruiser 26" sizes with a decimal in the width. I think the complaints about the 26" size are all due to not understanding this.

Honest reviews on Bell Road Bike Tire with KEVLAR

Kevlar eh?

warning: these tires are severely difficult to mount. My vehicle of choice is a bicycle, and has been for 20 years, so with it comes the added detail of restoring punctured tires. Avoid these tires if you're a DIY.

Well, it took three weeks for the tire to arrive from SPECIALTY TOOLS USA. I took my negative review down from that company because they quasi-apologized -in fact, they just refunded me the shipping costs and asked me to take my negative review down. In other words, they bribed me with $5. But I figured that's a form of customer service, so...fine.

Got the tire on, and two days later I had a flat. That was a bummer. I don't believe it was a puncture, but a split near the valve. Either way, it's probably worth paying more money on a decent set of rubbers from a local shop.

This is a great bike for children who use their bike a lot. I have been looking for a bike like this in the U.S. for a while without success, so I was happy to find out that these are now available on Amazon. The bike has front and back lights with a dynamo hub up front, which is really the best solution. The light is very bright, and the back light has a small rechargeable battery so the light continues glowing when stopped at intersections. I think these are essential safety features, but somehow impossible to get with kids' bikes up to now. There is also a luggage rack and mud guards for both wheels, so the bike is ready for use day and night and in any weather, which is what it should be. There is also a gearshift which my son loves. The built quality is very good and the frame is aluminum, so the bike is fairly light considering all the equipment. Best bike for kids on the U.S. market right now.
