This bike would get 5 stars if the packaging was better. The directions were ok, could be better for people who don't know how a bike works, I didn't need them. This bike showed up just fine for my wife, however the bike I just received for myself (a classic men's 3spd green) showed up damaged enough to go right back in the box to be returned and replaced. The packaging just is not designed well enough to prevent damage in every case. Still, buy this bike. It is well built and rides awesome. If you are looking for a quality cruiser bike that looks great and rides great, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This bike is not only well built it also rides like a precision machine.it looks heavy but is light (aluminum frame), very smooth, precise and has a well balanced feel. Very happy with purchase and have owned it almost a year. I noticed the descriptions fails to mention that it is equipped with Shimano accessories.

10 years ago I bought this product for my bike and it lasted 8 years until my bike got worn down. Never had a flat (Thorn resistant tires). It is perfect for my bike.

Kevlar tire liners give me more confidence that I'll make it through my rides without tire problems.

Easy to install with directions given by Stop flats...I usually ride 5 days a week on and off road.

Installed a few months ago after a string of puncture flats...ended problems so far.

These have done the job for me for years! I have them in each of my different sized tires for all 29er mtn bike off road and urban tires. I have had tires lacerated from sharp glass and metal protruding from roads, and these protected the tube from blowing out through the large cuts in the tires. Only once a couple of years ago during a particularly nasty Goat Head Thorn plagued section of a ride did I sustain tube punctures to both tires. The STOP Flats 2 customer service rep was very pleasant and quick to replace both tubes and a new set of liners. They even included their terrific plastic tire/rim removal tool as an unexpected bonus. They are easy to install inside the tire, and the dark center strip faces away from the tube. Highly recommended! The security of knowing they're in my tires and ability to stop worrying about having to deal with changing or patching tubes is well worth their nominal price.

Even though my tires are three inches wide, I have not gotten another flat since I install them correctly !!!

I ride a lot (19.2 miles into work and 19.2 miles home) mostly on closed course bike paths. I've had my share of flats with other tubes but with these... The tubes are practically tires by themselves.

For those who say that these will add to your mile time... When it comes to shaving weight, start with the rider. I'm well over 200# and can still average 20mph into work on the first two rides of the summer. I'm hoping that as the season progresses I'll be able to drop my excess pounds. If shaving 3oz. off my tubes can get me to 20.5mph, by the time I drop 30lb from my less than aerodynamic paunch perhaps I could reach 40mph... or perhaps not.

I am riding desert roads, and let me tell you what: that they are the nastiest around, cracks, pot holes, sharp objects, and other obstacles. In results, I had 6 flats in one day, since the inner tube was beyond repairs,I came back 4 hours later. I was impressed when I received it, I was expecting a little higher quality inner tube and instead I had ultra thick heavy duty tube, I have been riding it for 60 miles so far without any problems, and decide to upgrade the back also as well, considering the price it is a awesome deal. However one regret, manufacturer should have extend the stem to an extra 10mm, the actual stem size made it hard to inflate on my new alloy rim.

Seems to keep thorns out but it is a little challenging to install due to its thickness. I hope it gets easier, but, then again, I should never need to replace it, right?

Honest reviews on Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube 700 x 18-23 (27 x 1) 32mm

In fairness this should be 3.5 stars: I rounded down because lots of others gave it 5 but this needs to be noted. Yes... it is very heavy-duty and I have not yet flatted on them--but they are REALLY heavy. Put them on both tires, and you might see your average speeds go down .3-.5 mph. So if you are a city commuter and losing a minute or two doesn't matter... they're great. If you're concerned about pace (not just races: but keeping up with your Saturday morning group...) then note that this IS a trade-off. They take a bit of elbow grease to mount...

These tubes are HEAVY DUTY! When you receive these, you will be amazed at the quality of them compared to most of the tubes available.

I have not had a flat since installing these, (over 850 miles). I typically ride between 20 and 50 miles almost every day.

I've heard all of the arguments against these tubes. Yes, they are heavier than those light weight racing tubes, but I'll tell you what, If you and I are riding the same race, and we are physically equal, you might be leading me by f seconds at the end of 20 miles. However, if you have a flat, I'll pass you and win the event while you are still repairing your light weight tube. Also, I can skip a snack the night before, and lose those extra few ounces and make us equal again.

Park Tool TB-2 Emergency Tire Boot (Pack of 3) Reviews

Park Tool TB-2 Emergency Tire Boot

Be aware that these patches are for inside your tires, not the outer surface of your tubes, in situations where you can actually see the tube through a hole in the tire. If you're looking for glueless / pre-glued patches for your tubes, I recommend Park Tool brand for that as well though several other brands also make good pre-glued patches.

These patches are a great solution even in the worst of cases where the tire has such a large gash in it that there would otherwise be no way to inflate the tire without the tube bubbling out of the cut and exploding. The patches themselves are tough enough to hold up to debris (even glass) getting in the cut, and there is effectively no expansion out of the tire--whereas the old solution of using a dollar bill isn't nearly as good or durable.

They are rather thick--at least as thick as a tire sidewall--yet using one doesn't leave a big bump the way many glue-on tube patches do.

SIZE: I thought I would buy these three patches and try them out and then buy more immediately if they did, but each of the three is so large that you can cut several patches out of them--as suggested on the packaging. In fact, one whole patch is actually too big for a road tire, and really wouldn't be necessary in a mountain bike tire--unless it was a big three incher and the cut was reeeeeeeally bad.

CON: The only source of disappointment with this product is that the glue is only about as adhesive as that of a Post-it Note, perhaps not even that strong. The glue doesn't even hold the patch in place while you're installing the tube. However, the solution is not to glue it in place; just slip it in between the tube and the tire when you have the tube partially inflated and installed, then put the tire back on the rim and inflate to normal pressure.

Note that I haven't tried this on a mountain bike tire with low pressure yet, but have never personally had a mountain bike tire (2 inches in width or greater) with a hole that big in it.

BOTTOM LINE: Some riders pay $50 or more per tire, and when one gets a gash in it, even if the tire is brand new, that usually means putting it in the trash right away and spending another $50 or more. That's exactly what happened to me, but I didn't throw away the first tire thank goodness before buying these patches.

My replacement tire also got rather cut up over time to the point that I actually had to patch the tire itself in a couple of places. But with these patches I was able to reinstall the first tire which was otherwise completely new. And though I can actually see the patch through the gash in the road tire, it doesn't bubble out and I'm completely confident I could ride it like that for the remaining life of the tire.

I now carry one of these patches with me on every ride--just in case.

Yesterday, I was 60 miles away from home (and 15 miles to public transit) in a rural area and got a blow out. Got 3 gashes in my tire. One was so severe, the tube was bubbling out. Got the patches out and completed the ride (20 more miles) These patches really work, and you don't know its worth until you are stuck out there in the middle of no where. My riding buddies were impressed. The dollar bill or powerbar wrapper might have worked also, but these things don't have adhesive so a tear could continue to propagate and cause a disastrous blow-out. These are highly recommended.

These saved my but a couple weeks ago and they are cheap, you should definitely have one of these in your seat bag.

Honest reviews on Park Tool TB-2 Emergency Tire Boot (Pack of 3)

I have been in the situation of being in the middle of a ride and having the sidewall of a tire fail. People have used a dollar bill, a piece of paper, or some other item to attempt to "limp" home. This item is made for just such an emergency. I hope I never have to use it, but I ride just little easier knowing I have it.

Many people think this is a 'patch', and it is, but it's for your tire, not your tube! You may not need to use one of these on most typical fl@ts, but when you do need one of these, if you don't have one with you, you're not going anywhere (unless you want to try the paper money trick).

They are easy to use, and I found them to make a great item to carry in my kit as a just-in-case item. Comes in a nice foil-type package, so it'll stay in your kit for a long time without going bad.

Will buy these again as I need them.
