I purchased this bike from Amazon. It arrived in a large box the bicycle box was inside an outer packing box. It was well packed minimum packing material. The bicycle needs to be assembled The handle bars need to be attached. The seat and front wheel need to be attached. The pedals also need to be attached. Minor adjustments needed to be made to the brakes, but was not difficult. Assembly is not difficult once you figure out how to do it The manual that came with the bike is generic not specific to this bike. I would suggest you go to the Schwinn website first before you buy this or any bike on-line to see if you want to handle the assembly yourself. I went on the Schwinn website and watched a video that takes you step by step through the assembly process. Was able to assemble the bike in about 45 minutes following the video. You will need simple tools a set of a hex keys (Allen wrenches), a screwdriver, adjustable wrench. You also need lubricant (I used white lithium grease).
The seat attaches with a quick release mechanism, as does the front wheel. It makes it easy to adjust without the need for tools.
The pedals just screw on be sure you put the left on the left and the right on the right as they are not interchangeable.
You might want to take it to a bike shop to adjust the breaks.
Overall, a good purchase.

For the price it is much more than I expected. Assembly was a piece of cake. A very comfortable bike for the leisure rider like myself.Best Deals for Schwinn Men's Suburban CS Comfort Bike, 26-Inch, Charcoal/Tan
I have tried them all mountain bikes, road bikes, etc. But this bike is the ultimate in comfort and function. I did research on the steel frame vs. aluminum frame. I chose this because my research concluded that the steel frame is not lighter but far more comfortable and durable.Honest reviews on Schwinn Men's Suburban CS Comfort Bike, 26-Inch, Charcoal/Tan
I researched the types of bikes available today according to their purpose and I'm very happy with this bike. I sold a mountain bike and replaced it with this one. This is a Comfort bike and for me, it's unbelievably comfortable. The stock seat isn't bad at all but I replaced it with a Mens Cloud-9 seat anyway. The weight of the bike surprised me as it turned out to be lighter than I expected. The 21 gears are the same setup and ratio as you see on most bikes. The handle bars are adjustable so you can raise them up or lower them a bit to your preference. It definitely has improved comfort on longer rides. I'd have no reservations about recommending this bike.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Schwinn Men's Suburban CS Comfort Bike, 26-Inch, Charcoal/Tan
After saving my PNC points up where I could finally get "Sears" gift cards, I purchased this bike. I haven't enjoyed biking this much since I was probably about 10 or so...lol. The aluminum frame and 21 gears make this bike an absolute pleasure to ride. Very adjustable for anyone from probably around 5'6 to 6'1. If you want to take a ride of less than 10 miles or so, you can certainly do that in comfort. The seat and seat shock really work very good and the front fork shock really soaks up the bumps. It's nothing for us to take a 2-6 mile ride without blinking an eye. Now I wouldn't recommend anyone try and use this for extreme or super hardcore type riding. That just isn't this bikes cup of tea. However, if want to go off the beaten path a bit and do some moderate trail riding, you can certainly do that with this bike. If you don't have one now, this bike goes fast enough to make you wish you had a bicycle helment! If your looking to ride to or through a local park, you have found your bike. If you haven't been comfortable or confident with a bike in a while, this bike will absolutely get you back in the game. I can't tell you enough how satisfied I am with this purchase. Far supassing my expectations. If you want to have some comfort and some smiles as you rack up the miles... this IS the bike for you.
