Trikke T78CS Bike - Black Review

I ordered a Trikke for my husband off the TV promotion. He was jazzed after seeing the promo. I had read about it a few years ago, and was intrigued. The first one was going to take 6 weeks to be delivered. I saw the same one on Amazon a month later, ordered it, and received it within 5 days. The first one came a week afterward (6 weeks). We love them. We're both over 50, and I'm uncoordinated. I tried rollerblading 15 years ago, but quit after falling and hurting my hip. The Trikke uses a lot of the same movements, uses a lot of different muscles, is fairly portable and is FUN. We just got back from a Trikke ride, and not only do my legs feel good, but I can feel it in my shoulders, arms, hips and abs! Riding again tomorrow.

I saw an Infomercial a couple of months ago and decided to order the T78CS. I did for several reasons, it comes with the poly wheels which makes it easier to learn and once you are going you can order the air wheels kit for $50 and now you have a T78 air which gives you a much smoother ride, especially on rough surfaces. I have ridden the T8 which is almost twice the money as the T78, and I like the T78 better. It has a better folding mechanism and while it is 3 pounds heavier that the T8, that is almost undetectable when you are riding it. I like the non-slip foot pads better on the T78 than the T8. The reason the T8 is more expensive is it is made out of aluminum which is more costly to manufacture than a steel frame.

I ride my T78 about 7-9 miles per day and in two months I have already lost about 12 pounds. It is fun exercise and addicting.

easy to learn to ride. great workout. meet a lot of new people who want to know more about your toy and even enjoy "trying it out". The smaller unit might be a better fit for young people and women for handling. A little less cumbersome getting in and out of a trunk, for instance.

Honest reviews on Trikke T78CS Bike - Black

I love in-line skating and downhill skiing. Skiing is so expensive now that we just don't go too often. Skating is fun but I get a little (a lot) hesitant going downhill. This Trikke thing looked like both but safer and way fun. So after months of looking at all the Trikke videos, I thought, I could do this. I'm 5'4" and 129 lbs and I got the T78cs. I ordered the T78 Air tires at the same time to get a discount and free shipping. It came right away and just needed a little set-up less than 20 minutes. Pump the front tire and get out there and ROLL! It really is like skating and skiing. I love to do tight slalom turns and I love carving on a fairly steep slope. I feel completely safe with the three-point balance, the brakes and my helmet. I'm converting to the T78 Air tires because it's supposed to be even more comfortable and quiet for longer rides. This thing has got me addicted! I haven't lost any weight but my muscles are more toned. It works your legs, arms and upper body. You make it do what you want.

Pros: Safe

Very easy to learn, especially if you skate or ski.

Fast and easy to set up and easy knock down for transporting or carrying.

Lightweight but sturdy, fits in vehicles, even small ones.

Great total body work out

Fun Fun Fun

Cons: A Big Fat Zero

I read an article about these in the paper read the reviews all over the web and everyone raved. So I thought I would give it a try. At first, I was very frustrated. It is challenging to ride when the elevation increases even slightly. Even terrain or slightly downhill it was great. About a week ago I was still pursuing and finally hit what they refer to as the sweet spot. When you are moving up increasing elevation you really use your arms more than they indicate in the video. And its a great workout while being fun. The drawback for me is they recently chip sealed the roads in my subdivision -cant Trikke on gravel.

Sidewalks and flat asphalt are good places to start. Everyone who has tried it has loved it -old, young, etc. For smaller children -you would need the smaller fitting Trikkes but this has been adequate for everyone from 5' to 5'10".

All in all this is very fun and enjoyable I try and make time daily to ride it.

If you want something different to do, incorporate into your exercise routine a Trikke is a good way to go!

I purchased the Adams Trail-a-Bike so my 3.5 year old son and I could go riding together. I researched all the available models and liked this design the best (I'm an engineer), but could not decide on which size would be best for my son (Compact or Original). So I called the company and got REAL person that actually understood the product to answer my questions.

But I was leary of purchasing the Trail-a-Bike without any customer reviews. So I decided to purchase a Wee-Ride Co-Pilot from a local store because I could return it if there were problems (such as described by other Amazon customers). Good thing. The Wee-Ride assembly prevented the U-joint hitch from moving. I tried loosening the bolt but my good tools only made the Allen head hexagonal flats into a circle (the bolt was made of mild steel). So I returned the bike and the other one in the store had the same tight u-joint problem. So I left without a bike.

Now Chritmas to fast approaching, so I ordered the Trail-a-Bike from Seasonal Outfitters through Amazon. It was shipped super quick and arrived a day early.

I wish I had not wasted two trips (purchase and return) in buying the Wee-Ride model. The Adams Trail-a-Bike is an excellent design and well built. The hitch/u-joint and the folding mechanism are what separate this trailer bike from the others. One quick connect clamp allows the bike to fold and to ajust the seat height. Even though it is easily loosened for folding, it is very secure because the natural pull by the lead bike tries to keep the bikes straight.

The hitch has different size inserts to securely grip the lead bike's seat post without allowing the clamp to crush the seat post and make it out-of-round. The hitch is cylindrical with a square post in the center. This makes a very stable connection but one that can easily slide apart when the hitch pin is removed. The connection on the Wee-Ride required a hammer to slide the hitch apart. I can easily make the connection with one hand while holding my bike from falling over. It works so good I would suggest buying a 2nd hitch Adams Trail-A-Bike Hitch With Shims, Replacementso that two bikes can be set up to pull the child's Trail-a-Bike.

I have pulled my son about 10 miles on 3 trips. He loves it. He is very stable and the Trail-a-Bike even goes around corners well. The u-joint even allows me to take sidewalk ramps to the street while making sharp turns without a problem. He is currently too small to peddle, but he can place his feet on the peddles when the seat is at the lowest position and I have turned the handle bar as low as possible.

I only have to remember to keep my speed down to the recommended level because I can't be sure that my son might see something interesting and decide to get off without telling me. That is why he has a helmet, knee and elbow pads.

Overall this was a good purchase.

The Adams Trail-a-Bike is a terrific product: sturdy, well-constructed, with a nice look about it. Naturally, I purchased the bike for use with my 4 year old. I had considered the cheaper tag along bike offered by Amazon (another brand than Adams), but instead decided a bike for your toddler is not the item to go cheap on. I'm glad I went for the Adams (although I still think the price on this one is quite reasonable.) The bike comes folded up and requires some basic assembly. Took me 15 minutes to put it together ... nothing complicated.

Perhaps the niftiest feature of the bike is the universal joint connection to the lead back, which allows for up and down and side to side movement, but no leaning movement either left or right. The joints are stiff enough to make for smooth turns and ups and downs, but loose enough (obviously) to allow turning at all. I had no trouble mounting the mount on my bike's seat stem.

My four year old took the bike in about 2 minutes. We practiced in the driveway, then took it easy on our quiet street. We discussed pedaling/coasting, and how important it was to hold on tight even when it feels like she might fall (the sensation of leaning to one side or another). After just a minutes, she had it and we've been riding ever since.

There is a little play in the universal joint that, when translated all the way down the bike, can give it a little bit of lean either way ... but it is minimal.

Bottom line: great product for a great price. Take the time to "train" your kid how to ride it and you'll enjoy hours of riding together. My daughter's favorite part? The flag that comes with it and mounts on the back.

After reading many reviews we bought this bike for my almost four year old daughter. At first she was scared to get on, but after a few days of taking short rides she was comfortable and asking to go on longer rides. Now she loves it! This Adams trail-a-bike turns very well without problems and seems very safe. The only problem would be if the child was not old enough or coordinated enough to hold on tight. Other brands of bike trailers had been reviewed as being "wobbly", but this one is not. The child can choose to either pedal or not pedal during the ride.

There are two models of this bike, this is the 20" larger version designed for 4-6 year olds. There is also a compact version that is two inches smaller, designed for 3-5 year olds. My daughter is 3 years and 9 months old and a bit tall for her age. We have the seat all the way down, and she is just barely tall enough to pedal comfortably. I am glad we got the bigger version, though. I think we will be using this for family bike rides for quite a few years.

Our bike arrived within 5 days and took my husband about 20 minutes to put together and attach to my bike. You can buy an extra attachment so that the bike can be easily switched from one parent's bike to the other.

Honest reviews on Adams Trail a Bike - Original Folder

On receipt of this product it was found to be missing the ball race on the right side. The sprocket was pulled snug to the frame and the pedals would not turn at all. Mistakes happen. The short story is that this CANADIAN product is assembled in CHINA. NORCO who owns the name ADAMS trail-a-bike, stated they do not "Necessarily authorize their products to be sold online". Which apparently means they do, except when there is a problem. The company will not directly deal with customers, and my "local" distributor (a two hour drive away) delayed the shipment of the part, which retails at less than $5.00, for over a week. A call back revealed that they never even checked their inventory. Surprise they didn't have it. Norco then shipped me a ball race set from the tire, despite explicit details given them. Unless there is some confusion about "the ball race on the pedal crank arm, right side" After five weeks I finally got my correct part. since it had to be shipped from CHINA back to CANADA to get to ILLINOIS, as NORCO does not stock parts for their own products on this side of the PACIFIC. I waited to post this until the issue was resolved. If someone from NORCO reads this, I am contacting every agency I can think of or find to report your feloniously poor customer service, and VERY misleading claims as to the country of origin.

I got this bike for my son. I took it out of the box and the pedals turned VERY roughly. I ended up dissembling the bottom bracket to find the crank side ball race was mangled and two of the bearings were loose in the bottom bracket housing. The cause appeared to be a very loose retaining nut holding the sprocket to the crank. I called the manufacturer (Norco) for a replacement ball race, a $5 part, and they said that Amazon is not an authorized dealer so there is no warranty. I am returning the entire thing to Amazon now for a refund.

I bought this seat as a replacement for the seat that came with the Strider Bike. Nowhere on the item description does this seat say that it is a mini seat. Also it says that it is padded, it is not padded. It is a hard plastic. It serves my purpose just fine since it replaced the seat that my dog ate, but it is not what I had expected when I ordered it. They need to change it to say that it is a mini seat for the toddlers. If I had known that is what this seat is I would not have purchased it.

The post did not fit my child's bike and the seat is very small. Both of those I would take as my own responsibility despite doing what I thought was careful measurements. Despite being labelled as padded, even on the factory packaging, it is hard plastic nothing soft about it. That part is false advertising.

Comfortable gloves. The little finger hole is exceptionally long or I have a very short little finger, which I have never noticed before.

I had a chance to use these in a light rain. Not a bit of leakage. So, they are 'Waterproof Motorcycle Gloves'. I would give them 5 stars for this.

However, the day I used them, it was 37 degrees. And when I got to my destination (20 minutes) my fingers and hands were flat freezing. What I needed / should have looked harder for is a pair of Waterproof WINTER Motorcycle Gloves.

These will work just fine above 50 degrees, in the rain. Will keep your fingers dry.

Not winter gloves. It is probably not 'fair' to only give them 3 stars, but for $90, I expected more.

its very confortable and you feel your hans so protected. the bad thing, it cant keep your hands wet on heavy rain and the Goggle wipe on thumb does not clean your helmet visor.

Best Deals for Icon Patrol Waterproof Motorcycle Gloves Black 3xl

Ok, so I ride my motorcycle to work 32 miles round trip every day regardless of weather... I hate getting wet, so my gear will get flak if it's not perfect.

These are water proof and do as well as any glove in the low teen's (Fahrenheit), but the cone shape that extends up your forearm is like a funnel when you come to a stop. The cone shape is absolutely perfect for wind, especially when it's cold. Because it is cone shaped, it is hard to put your coat sleeve over top of it, especially since you lack the dexterity of normal fingers when you are wearing clumsy gloves.

So, in a downpour, your hands will probably get wet while in cold wind, you will love these gloves.

I got these for my bike around campus because I was afraid my quick release attracted thieves. These skewers work great.

Product arrived on time, and nicely packed. Front and seat post skewers fits fine, however the rear skewer was TOO SHORT for a 2013 Diamondback Insight 1. Someone else mentioned that it was too short for a Giant as well. I can confirm that all the skewers are long enough for a 2010 Trek 7100.

All of the experts recommend the removal of the quick release levers from the saddle and wheels and these do serve their purpose. The rear axle skewer was too short ( Giant Bicycles ). Guess we'll have to risk it.

Honest reviews on Evo 3Pc Skewer Set - Fr, Rr, Seat

My son needed a set of these skewers for his bike when he went off to college, since he had quick release for both axles and seat, and that is just too risky. These were simple to install and although they don't actually lock, it is definitely more trouble to remove these than the quick release type, and for the price, they fit our need perfectly.

First of all, I have to say, don't worry about the review that only gave this bike one star because of the recall. Yes, this bike was recalled in the fall of 2010 because the plastic "key" stuck out too far and kids were getting hurt as they fell on it. But they've fixed that and the bikes being sold today have a much smaller "knob" that kids can still turn but won't get hurt on.

We gave this to our son for his 2nd birthday a few weeks ago. It was an instant hit. There is some assembly required, but as soon as we got it together, he started driving it around. His feet don't reach the pedals quite yet (probably won't for another year), but that doesn't stop him from driving it "Flintstone style."

The bike is the perfect height--not too tall, not too short. It has a nice wide "stance" and I don't worry about it tipping over. The plastic itself is lightweight, but sturdy. It's easy enough to pick up by one handle and carry it around if I need to.

The thing that really sold me on this was the seat that opens up and it has proven to be a favorite feature of my son's as well. He stores anything and everything in there from snacks to toys to various sticks and stones that he finds around.

This bike is something I see him using for years to come as he grows into the pedals. My only complaint (and the only reason for my 4 star rating) is that the stickers are already starting to peel off, but I'm planning on contacting Fisher Price to see if they will send me some new ones. I would definitely buy this bike again.

This little bike has been great fun for my 4 grandsons. It stays outside all the time, gets used (and abused) by 4 boy, ages 3-6, and still is in great shape. I have a slight hill in the back yard and they love to push it up to the top and then take turns riding it all the way down! The seat opens to make a great hide-away for special finds. All in all, a fun toy for little ones active imagination and energy.

Like that it is higher than the old "Big Wheels". My son likes the seat that goes up to hide things in.

We love our Diego trike! We bought it for my just turned 2 year old son and he's obsessed with it. My 4 year old even steals it when my little one isn't looking! It's gotten a TON of usage and seems to hold up real well. The only thing was that the stickers included do NOT stick well. But that's not a big deal to us.

I thought I'd have my son Connor demonstrate how this tricycle passes the toddler test.

This is so reasonable in price and provides so much fun for so long. We gave it to my son when he was one year. He is two and still uses it every day. He can't do the pedals yet but he goes around the block on this propelling himself with his feet. Its extremely sturdy and balanced and is not prone to tipping. In fact, he has only fallen a couple times and that was when he got on or off and just didn't swing his leg over it far enough. Yep, there are more expensive nicer looking trikes, but this is fun and relatively safe even before they can pedal. And my son still has fun to come on this one once he learns to pedal! Update: My son used this trike until he turned 6!

Best Deals for Fisher-Price Rock Roll 'n Ride Trike

I purchased the previous version of the Rock, Roll & Ride for my eldest son when he was two. The idea is great -anyone with at least one kid knows that multitasking toys are a wonderful idea. However, as a tricycle, this does have a few flaws.

The biggest flaw we found is with the plastic "tires." They look cute, but are really slippery, so they don't grip the ground well. My son had a really hard time learning to pedal because he'd get the movements right, but the trike wouldn't go anywhere... he just literally spun his wheels. Then, my husband wrapped rubber bands around the tires to help them get some traction, and that helped Jake long enough to get the hang of it. Also, if you use this outside, the tires get pretty scraped up, so you might not want to bring it back indoors where it could scratch your floors.

Another flaw was the short push handle, but according to the specs for this model they have lengthened the pushbar, which can only be good. I'm 5'6" and I thought it was too short for me before.

Lastly, I think this item has a short life span for your child. Jake turned three years old at the end of January, and he's really outgrown it in terms of what the trike can do. The ride just isn't smooth enough to justify him using for real "bike riding."

I've read a lot about trikes tipping, and if I think about it, this does tip, but not all that often, so that's a good feature.

Finally, I guess this is a good recommendation as an indoor toy. For a longer-lasting outdoor toy, I'd try one of the Kettlers.

Honest reviews on Fisher-Price Rock Roll 'n Ride Trike

This is a great toy. We gave it to my best friend's daughter for her 2nd birthday and she loved it instantly. There is NO design flaw. What people have trouble with is that when you screw together the wheel fork & steering wheel, the hole is only pre-drilled to a certain point. The other 3/4" you need to drill in yourself-into the plastic so that it stays secure. If it were pre-drilled all the way in, it would fall out. It's like that on purpose!

That said, the a power screw driver or drill with a screwdriver bit worked great. You also need a hammer to tap in some pieces on the wheels. It was easy to assemble.

I was a little worried about the handle height. I'm 5'8" and I could easily push it without bending over. I think people over 5'10" would have to bend down. Since the mom is going to be doing most of the pushing, and she's shorter than me, it won't be a problem. I hear the XL version of this trike has a longer handle.

It's really easy to convert from rocker to trike, and her 5-year-old cousin figured it out in under 5 minutes. The seat is adjustable to accommodate growth.

Hope this helps!

We have three of these as each of my boys received one for their first birthday and I think they are great. The only problem is I wish they were all at the same house two are by their Grandparents 3000 miles away while my three fight over the one we have at home. Makes we want to go buy one or two more. My six year old still loves to ride it even though he has moved onto a big boy bike because he can really zoom around the corners without getting nervous. The little foot rest doesn't do much but not a huge problem. Found that it worked best in the rocking mode when off the carpet. The handle is great as not only am I able to push them but they push each other. It really manuvers well. My almost 2 year old tries to pedal it but is not quite big enough so he just zooms around with foot power. All in all a great toy that after 5 years of constant use shows no signs of "decay" how many toys can you say that about?
