Works perfectly on a ten speed or on a single speed bicycle. It's worth it trust me it is the best that I've had.

Works as advertised, shifts great, somewhat if not negligible stiffness increase. Most of all it just makes the whole bike look sharp. I added it to my BMC TM02 and it transformed the entire look.

My commute in to work is pancake flat and I was tired of spinning out the stock gearing on my singlespeed. It may look a bit ridiculous, but my commute is much more fun now. The chainring itself is light, stiff, and bolts on easily. I can't comment on its shifting performance, but I've been happy with my new "TT" commuter.

My local bike shops' suppliers dropped Dahon, so Amazon was the best way for me to get this bike. As a Prime member, I had this bike on my porch within two days of ordering it. The bike is fully assembled inside its box, just folded and covered in packing material. Dahon also includes manuals and touch-up paint. To activate your warranty with Dahon, you have to have the bike adjusted and inspected by a bike shop. I paid $50 for that.

This bike is an attention-getter, and as far as folders go, it's loaded. The info and picture are unclear about this, but the bike does ship with a rack and fenders already installed. The internal hub allows the bike to have seven speeds without a visible derailleur and cogset, and it also means that you get a chain guard that covers the entire chain. The chain guard is a bit noisy, but it's tolerable, and it's worth having the chain guard to keep your clothes clean.

The ride on this bike is surprisingly... normal. You may feel big bumps a bit more than on a bigger-wheeled bike, but the bike is quick and nimble. For commuting, it's great to have tons of stand-over clearance (and I'm only 5'2"!) and to be able to adjust it to sit a little more upright to see and be seen in traffic.

I'm riding this in Lincoln, Nebraska, where folders have yet to catch on. It gets lots of looks and questions. But this is not just a bike for urban, highly congested areas. Being able to park inside or toss a bike into a car is great anywhere!

So first I stalked this Bike on the Internet. After researching many different folding bikes I settled on this one.

I bought this bike through a local shop to get lifetime maintenance tune ups.

This bike is great so here goes my list.

Pro's;

the bike folds and unfolds in 15 seconds

Bus drivers don't have a problem with me bringing it on the bus.

this bike gets the Looks!

this bike fits under my desk at work.

the gears work really well and changing gears while stopped at a light is easy.

I am a little bigger than the weight limit and this bike rides just fine.

It is comfortable to ride.

at 26 pounds soaking wet it is very easy to carry.

CONS;

None yet!

My Dahon clearly exhibits high quality and manufacturing pride. It was extremely easy to unfold and ride and stow on the rear seat of my Ford Fiesta at the end of the ride.

Dahon requires setup by a professional bike technician to qualify for a longer warranty. This requirement made sense to me. I complied.

I was seriously ill when my bike arrived and didn't have the time or focus to carefully check all the parts in the box or to familiarize myself with the parts.

After a couple of days in the hospital, I carefully read all the literature that came with the bike.

It is too generic. I never found a parts list for my specific bike. If the bike shop had tried to do a parts check, it's technician would have had the same problem.

As a result, the bike shop tossed out the BioLogic Freedrive Chain Cover. They thought it was just a chain protector for shipping. I thought the same thing.

http://www.amazon.com/BioLogic-Freedrive-Chain-Cover/dp/B005I68HNS/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1348484196&sr=1-1&keywords=biologic+chain+guard

Another issue, for me, is whether it's supposed to have a brush guard on the crank. I can't tell.

By the way, Dahon requires a code to start the online registration process. Owners are supposed to get this code from the store that sells them the bike. I can't imagine Amazon providing a code or even how to request one from Amazon.

One other thing a bag for the bike. Because I stow it in the car, I consider it an essential component. Dahon makes bags, but I don't see them on the Amazon Web site. Too bad. I've ordered a generic, but would have preferred a Dahon bag. Sure I could order one from another vendor, but Amazon is so convenient and reliable.

Despite these small deficiencies, the bike is fabulous and just what I wanted. It is easy to give this produce a five-star rating.

Honest reviews on Dahon Vitesse D7 HG Folding Bike, Shadow

Lots of choices on the market. It a tough one. I went for this one in the end because of the other positive reviews, the provided accessories and the brand's history. In truth one could probably go a little less expensive (with this brand or similar) and still get a great bike without the mudguards and so on, however, having said that, it's well built, easy to manage, fold / unfold, and it fits well in the car. It does not fit in any standard suitcase as best as I can tell, so you'll need the custom one from Dahon for flying with it etc. Although its pricey, in the greater scheme of things, I'm getting the value out of it because of its sheer portability.

This lube works great. I've tried others in the past but this product exceeded them all. Applies nicely, and it's not to messy. I use it for my mountain and road bikes.

I had purchased two of these. Super easy to use. Big benefit is that you can actually refill and use the container. I also like the idea that the carrier oil for the Teflon is bio degradable. Best if both worlds... Get the Teflon for lubrication and the carrier oil can just drip off without harming the environment

Me likey!

I don't know how long this will last as the bottle is pretty light but I already feel like I got my dollar's worth. Item was packaged well and cap was taped on.

You shake the bottle then use the cap itself to pump the bottle. It's a neat idea. Once you pump it up, the sprayer works like an conventional aerosol would...although sometimes it sprayed a stream (probably if the pressure was too low?) but that actually worked out perfectly for me...

I had used WD40 a couple weeks ago and while that was great for cleaning the chain, things started squeaking which made me think the chain was CLEAN but not well-lubed. Enter Tri-Flow.

I used to use the regular Tri-Flow back in the day but haven't had a bike in a decade. Amazing to think it's been that long. But this soy lube worked great today.... everything felt so smooth.... bike was a joy to ride.

If I notice anything amiss in the next month, I'll report back. But I feel like this will be my bike lubricant of choice for some time to come.

Honest reviews on Tri Flow Soy Lubricant Squeeze bottle (3.38-Ounce)

There's not to be said about this product, because it's lubricant. It works well, attracts some dirt (what lubricant doesn't?), and boasts being eco-friendly. With the soy-based lubricant and hand pump to avoid harsh chemicals, this product is perfect for the environmentally conscious consumer. It's a great product at a fair price, you can't ask for much more. Hope this helps!!

This product works exactly as expected. It lubes my bike chain. I am not exactly what advantage the Soy has over anything else, but I did not buy it to be green. I just needed bike lube.

These pedals work exactly as you would expect from Shimano Dura Ace. I have used the ultegra level pedals for nearly 10 years and never had a complaint. I wanted to dress my new bike up with a new set of pedals, and the look of these are perfect! The large, low profile platform does a great job distributing the pressure on your shoe. They feel very secure on the cleat when snapping in and during the release. The package includes a yellow set of cleats (floating, vs the red fixed style). I find these cleats to work very well and are relatively inexpensive to replace when they get worn. They are extremely light and on par with most other carbon pedals on the market. Installation is very easy and simply requires an 8mm hex tool instead of a spanner wrench. They are very expensive, but if you appreciate high quality and performance, you can't get much better than the new 7900 series pedals.

The pedals come with one set of cleats. Extremely stable platform, I like the tight fit when engaged. Very light. Nothing negative at all, very easy to install and adjust. The release tension goes from stiff to very stiff, so perhaps not for the lighest riders or those with exit concerns. Entry is single sided but very easy since the pedals hang appropriately. Combined weight of carbon pedals plus cleats is basically as light or lighter compared to anything from any other manufacturer. Overall highly recommended.

Best Deals for Shimano Dura Ace PD-7900 Road Pedals (Carbon)

Before the Dura Ace PD-7900, I had been using the PD-7800 pedals, which has an alloy core. The newer PD-7900 pedals have a carbon composite core instead, and thus shaving the weight by 30 gms; the PD-7800 pedals weigh 281 gms, whereas the PD-7900 pedals weigh 251 gms. The pedal platform is basically the same on both pedals. I've always been a huge fan of Shimano's SPD-SL pedal technology and wide pedal base, allowing ease of on-off pedal action and power transfer. A wider base, I feel, provides more comfort because of less pressure on the feet.

It's been a long time since I used another set of pedals other than Shimano DA, so I can't give a fair comparison with another brand. However, when I first tried the PD-7800 I was impressed with the performance and comfort of the pedals and convinced that these pedals are suited for me; thus far I'm just as satified with the PD-7900 pedals.

One last note: I price-shopped before making my purchasing on Amazon.com. At the time of purchase, it offered by-far the lowest price compared to other internet sellers, which were mostly selling for over $300. For a set of high-quality Shimano Dura Ace pedals for under $250 is a steal.

Honest reviews on Shimano Dura Ace PD-7900 Road Pedals (Carbon)

This set of shimano pedals is great. I've used them for over 1500 miles already at this point. Used my old 7401's(Look style cleat) for over 20+years and finally decided to get some new ones. Much lighter, easier to clip into as well as out of, also much easier to walk safely with the new style cleat. These pedals kind of disappear which is what an expensive set of pedals should do. You should not have to even think about the pedals and they do this for you very well. The retention adjustment is wide enough to make the beginner to the pro happy. The replaceable stainless contact plate is a fantastic idea. The reason my old 7401's bit the dust was wear to the aluminum pedal body that began to cause squeaking. They would still have been perfectly functional if they had a replaceable contact surface. Bearing quality is the equal of the original pedal, that is to say very good. The older bearings feel better than the new but have 20 years of break in compared to the new and I'm sure the new ones will achieve that level of decreased friction with some time, they are already much improved with a few miles on them. Get some, what are you waiting for? I should have done it years ago.

I replaced my Ultegra SL pedals with these recently to reduce weight. What I've found is that the wider platform is really noticeable when riding. It is more comfortable with less pressure on individual parts of the foot. I didn't buy the Dura-Ace 9000 model because I couldn't determine whether there was much difference in the pedal.

When these first arrived I thought the batteries were dead. It was when I opened them up to see what kind of batteries they needed that I discovered the little pieces of paper meant to keep the batteries from going dead during shipping or sitting on a store shelf. Once removed, the lights worked great! They attract a lot of attention when I'm out riding at night and I've been asked about them a lot. I will say the photo in the listing is a bit misleading you have to be going VERY fast for them to look like a blue ring of light on your tire. This is true of all wheel lights though, so just a heads up about that. Also, if you screw them too far down on the valve stem threads you may inadvertently cause your tire to go flat over night as they can put just enough pressure on the stem to slowly leak air. No problem, I pumped the tire back up and didn't screw them on as tight. Since then, they've given me no problems and like I mentioned before, people really notice them. I like them!

No failures or breakage of the 4 pair I bought. They even came with a little Presta-Schrader adapter.

Only problem is, it's illegal to put a blue light on a bike in California.

I'm going to try putting some clear red tape or plastic over the lens to see if I can get purple, which would be both legal and a cool colour!

Cheap SRAM i-Motion 3 Speed Freewheel 36H Hub

SRAM i-Motion 3 Speed Freewheel 36H Hub
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

This hub is smooth shifting, quiet and low to no maintenance. Good quality manufacture. I chose this hub when I built my commuter bike, trying to create a cross between a light, sleek road bike and a pragmatic, classic three speed commuter. The reason I am withholding that one last star is because the only choice of shifter Sram offers is a grip shifter design. This limited my handlebar options to a straight bar whereas drop bars or bullhorns might have been preferred for purposes of comfort and coolness. However I digress, returning to my thesis statement and in conclusion good hub.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I had this hub for a little over a year and really liked it. I was on my daily commuter and functioned well with extremely little maintenance. My only qualm is that the pawl clicks in third gear were a little too loud for my liking. Then one day the axle snapped mid stroke and pitched me over the front of my handle bars. It wasn't too bad on me but the hub was totally wrecked. The break was right at the cable entry, which is a shame because one thing I really liked about this hub was its inside the dropout cable entry (compared to the sturmey and the nexus who's cable enters through the end of the axle on the outside of the dropout). SRAM was really cool and replaced my hub. Apparently going off or hopping the occasional curb is unwise for a 100kg rider to do on this hub. If you have questions about durability, I hear the nexus inter-3 is the way to go.

Good, sturdy construction and easy to assemble.

Nice, clean finish and design.

The resistance knob is also an instant flywheel brake;

simply push it straight down to apply the brake.

The only negative remark would be that it is NOT

built for anyone shorter than 61".

lowering the top of the seat height stop, along with

the seat height adjustment knob would be a good idea.
