PROS:

-Adjustable handle: I am much shorter than my husband so the adjustable handle was a must.

-Straight: we have had no issues with the stroller pulling one direction or the other. It has always traveled straight on course for us.

-Adjustable canopy: the shade is fantastic and a must have. It can be unzipped and detached for additional coverage. It sometimes collapses on its own while running, but you can fix that problem by unzipping it.

-Parent tray: great for its musical abilities. You can play music while running, but the parent tray only holds 2 small bottles and weighs about 2 lbs by itself so we don't use it.

-Pedometer: great and useful, but unfortunately it does not come with a time or a clock.

-Seat and straps: nicely padded and my 3 month old seems quite comfortable and they all wipe off very easily. It is very easy to recline the seat when he falls asleep without waking him up. It's a smooth transition from sitting to lying down.

-Storage space: there are all sorts of storage spaces and the mesh bag by the handles it great to hold my cell phone, water bottle and keys.

-Wheels: good size and easily removable. The pump that comes with the stroller isn't great, but it is just enough if I need a quick fill up when I am out.

-Fixed front wheel: stable and perfect for running as it should be on a jogger. It took us little time to learn steering the jogger.

-Ride & breaking system are great.

-Weight: lighter than other joggers (after doing some research online)

-Length: this stroller is not super long like some of the Schwinn joggers can be

-Consumer Reports: this stroller is one of the top rated and has great reviews.

CONS:

-Parent tray: there are two cup holders, but they are too small for the bike water bottles we use. Moreover, the tray itself is about 2lbs so it adds weight to the stroller. But again, it is great for parents that enjoy listening to music while running.

-Folded stroller: when folded up the stroller is huge, but you can easily remove the front wheel. (About 23 x 37 without removing the front wheel.)

No stroller is perfect. You may like or dislike some of them, so you just have to find the jogging stroller that is right for you at the right price.

My husband and I are really satisfied with this stroller and recommended this exact same one to our friends.

While researching jogging strollers, I was struck by how many of the negative reviews of fixed wheel models are completely driven by the fixed wheel feature. Prospective buyers should understand that a fixed front wheel is an essential safety feature for serious running with a stroller. It will make turning more difficult. That's the intention to avoid accidental sharp turns at high speed. I wouldn't consider running on city streets with a swivel wheel, especially on hilly terrain. Try it some time (with an empty stroller). It's scary when you hit a rock and it shoots sideways.

If you are not a serious runner, but just want to walk or slow jog, and want the all-terrain wheels and stability of a jogging stroller, then get one with a swivel wheel. You will be happier with it. There are even models with a front wheel that swivels for walking, but can be locked for running. The Schwinn Turismo Swivel is worth a look if that's your preference. It is similar in price to the Jeep model. For full speed running, you can't beat the stability of rigidly locked front wheel though.

I read ALL the reviews, weighed the pros and cons, and opted to purchase this stroller. It looks EXACTLY like the manufacturer's photos no deviations of any kind.

Soooooo ... here's the info:

1. It's GOOD sized. I have a small, four-door sedan ... folded, it doesn't fit in my trunk. However, it has an INCREDIBLY simple mechanism for removing and replacing the 2 back wheels. I throw the whole thing in the back seat of my car.

2. The adult tray hardly weighs anything and fits my aluminum water bottles splendidly. Maybe they improved the design after receiving some of the other feedback? The manufacture date on my stroller was November of 2010.

3. The odometer is awesome ... has a heavy-duty cable that runs along the frame of the stroller to its sensor on the front wheel frame. A magnet fastened to one of the front wheel spokes gives it the readings.

4. The speaker for the ipod is not very loud, but it's RIGHT behind where the baby's head goes ... so I'm not sure you'd want it to be any louder. It's not an ipod DOCKING STATION ... it's like a headphone plug-in, so you could use any mp3 player, cell phone, CD player, or if you were really old-school, a WALKMAN. :) There's also a decent amount of room in the "holder" area for keys, chapstick, a little hand lotion or sanitizer. The top snaps shut once everything is inside.

5. There seemed to be some confusion about an air pump in some of the reviews ... this model does NOT come with an air pump. Just to clarify.

6. Smooth, smooth, smooth ... it's a nice "ride"

7. The adjustable handle is really nice and comfortable, however, it does have give to it (i.e., it feels loose, but it's not). Doesn't bother me or feel weird when I use it.

8. The sunshade, harness, and baby tray are all pretty standard nice quality no complaints or issues

9. The reclining feature ... OK, THIS ONE IS BIZARRE ... in the manufacturer's description, it states that the seat back has 5 different positions. Really, it just has a strap (like the kind that secures a portable high chair or adjusts the straps on a car seat) that you tighten or loosen ... and the seat back then rests up against the strap. I'll get some pictures of that feature. I would not think anything about that was easy if the baby were to fall asleep in the stroller and I wanted to "recline" him.

I am extremely pleased with this stroller. Highly recommend it.

I'm writing this review, because now that I'm in the market for a double, I am frustrated with the difficulty in identifying who is writing these reviews walkers? joggers? casual runners?

Performance wise, I keep a 13min 2 mile time for the Army, and I use this for interval training to keep my athleticism up for JiuJitsu, and longer runs for body fat control. Thus, I use this for both speed interval training (Tabata protocol) and slower 4-6 mile runs. I've had this for about 3.5 years with total use averaging about once weekly. It's been across trails, beaches (interval training in sand), and streets. It has taken my daughter from 6 months to 4yrs of age, and there is no reason to think she is going to outgrow it anytime soon.

When my daughter was younger, she liked to tell me to catch up to bikers on gravel trails. Her continued requests can vouch to the comfort of a then 15month old. Limitations of sprinting go without saying when pushing something in front of you, but the point is, this is a great tool if you are looking to continue serious training when you have your kid. I can't see how you could train like this safely without a fixed wheel. Speakers are as tinny as you would expect, but are great because you can hear traffic, but still get some music. The bright orange with 360 degree 3M or plastic reflection is preferable to the later blue model for poorly lit early morning training. Handbrake works fine and rubberized handlebar keeps a sweat and sunscreen grip. The pedometer is a gimmick, but these days smartphones and GPS make it unnecessary.

I am not necessarily against spending money on a quality stroller (her "mall" stroller is a bugaboo). But, I didn't spend alot of money up front on a jogger because I knew the kind of abuse I was going to put it through, and thought I would end up using and chucking whatever I bought. However, like I said, 3.5yrs and still going strong. Outstanding product. Highly recommend.

This is the first jogging stroller I've had, so I don't have much to compare it to. The main reason I bought it was for the Music on the go so I wouldn't have to wear earbuds. That part works well, but it's not very loud. I can hear it fine in the subdivision, but when I get onto a busy street I can't tell whats playing. I'm still trying to get used to the fixed front wheel. The storage underneath is ample. The pedometer is junk. It broke the 2nd day after falling 2 feet onto the ground. The canopy does unzip and comes down far to keep the sun off of my son's face which is nice..Overall, it's a decent stroller.

The purpose of any LED tail light is to make sure cars coming up behind you know you're there. The Planet Bike Blinky 3 does a fine job at that, stays put, has great battery life and doesn't cost much. You get two mounting options a big cheap plastic clip for the seat post and a smaller clip for a rear side strut. I put mine on the seat post. In past years when I had a baby seat I would have used the side strut. You also get two settings steady and blinking. That's the only negative in my book. I can't imagine using anything but blinking.

This is pretty much a no brainer. My wife's has been through almost 8 years of abuse and has had only one battery change. I didn't think twice when it was time for my bike and my son's to get this safety enhancement. I now bike a lot during the late night. I haven't had a close call with a car coming up from my rear yet. Enough said.

Update 8 months later (6/5/09): I added a bike rack over my rear wheel and had to re-mount this because the rack's cargo obscured the seat post. Neither included mount fit the small gauge bars of the rack. I was able to use the small mounting clip by adding a small strip of black rubber (cut from an old inner tube scrap I had lying around). Because of the orientation of the rack's bars my light is now sideways. This arrangement works fine for me. I'm still on my original set of batteries and I use the light at least once a week.

This rear light can be seen for BLOCKS!! A great feature is the clip--it can be either clipped onto its seat post attachment or to a piece of clothing, if you walk at night. Battery life on blink (which is IMO much safer than constantly on) is weeks, if not months. Small enough to easily fit into a pocket, if you need to take it with.

Nice and bright, different flash settings, great visibility, mounting needs a little improvement. If there's one piece of advice I can give is check your seat-post before using this light. The seat-post is the ideal spot for placing this since you want the flashing to be as high as possible. Unfortunately my Raleigh SC40 has a seat shock post which is far too wide to use the mounting :( The rear forks also do not accomodate the mounting so there are precious few places this can be done. Unfurtunately, this means my flashing light is relegated to operate from a plastic bag dangling from my seat :(

With today's cheap electronics and LED technology it's trivial to make a super bright bike tail light. What you are really paying for here is the housing and mounting bracket.

I bought four of these when there was a blowout sale at REI. They're not terrible as other people have mentioned (cheap, small, light, bright, cheap, long running, clip for clothes, cheap, and did I mention, cheap?)

What I don't like is that the light snaps together this is not unusual but the plastic on mine are thin enough that dropping the light onto a hard surface means you might be chasing the batteries on your hands and knees. Also, it's the plastic on the mount/clamp isn't very sturdy and if you put it on a mountain bike, it will need to be adjusted after every hard bump. Basically the plastic is so thin that you can't really tighten the adjustment screw sufficiently to keep it from slipping.

Do a search here at Amazon or the other online bike retailers it appears you can definitely do better for the same price or even get something better for less!

Cateye makes top notch stuff, and it appears they have one which is the same price. (LD-130) I ended up with a more expensive Cateye tail light LD1100 and do not regret the extra $20 I paid for it.

Princeton Tec, Marwi, Blackburn and Topeak make good stuff not as good as Cateye but certainly better than this.

This is a great product for the money. The mount was a cinch to install on the seat post of my bike and took only about 10 minutes. It comes without instructions, and I was a little puzzled at first as to how to install the batteries. That was a minor hurdle and certainly no reason to rate the light down at all. It was a simple matter of pulling the red lens cover away from the black part. It takes a little effort, and I was afraid of breaking it. However, it proved to be up to the task so don't be too worried about that--you should be able to do it with just your hands easily enough. I can't speak to the battery life at this point, but the light is BRIGHT! When I held it at arms length I was seeing spots afterwards. A driver would have to be asleep at the wheel not to notice me.

These are my go-to socks for running and biking. The fabric is thinner on the top of the foot, keeping your feet cooleryou can especially feel this when biking. Seams are almost unnoticeable and despite the thin fabric, these socks are pretty durable. I wear size 9.5 shoes, and the medium-sized socks are just about right for me, though I would probably go with large if my feet were any bigger.

Just getting back into biking after a LONG layoff. All I ever have in the drawers are thick cotton Gold Toe's. They're good lasting socks, but too thick and damp for a 10 miler like me. I wasn't necessarily looking to buy name brand cycling socks, but at five bux a pair, I gave these "Pearlies" a shot. I felt the difference with the very first ride. Shoes slid on easier, moisture never developed and they don't even feel like they're attached to my feet. Day 4 for this 3-pack, so they're hitting the washing machine today. The label says to wash 'em inside out. I wear a 10 1/2D shoe and bought the Large size. I can't comment on their durability as of yet, so let's just say they fit good and feel good outta the box.

I picked these up because my previous pair of Pearl iZUMi low socks were pretty decent socks. That was a few years ago, the ones I ordered most recently were super thin we're talking thin dress sock thin and they also seemed quite a bit bigger than the previous pair. My heel slips out of my cycling shoe with these socks. I'd highly recommend getting a bit thicker or nicer pair of socks, even for hot weather.

Your casual thief isn't going to get through this lock. He'll need a massive pair of bolt cutters to slice through the thick cable. The locking device is heavy metal, not plastic, so no concern there. You'll get two heavy keys, with a serial number card, so there must be many thousands of key possibilities. I know nothing about lock picking, but based on the strength of everything else I assume the lock isn't easily pickable.

My only complaint, which goes along with the thick cable I suppose, is that you can only "squish" the lock down so far. I can't carry it on my bike frame because there's no where to put it without it laying on cables or getting in the way of my pedaling. I thought I could wrap it around my seat post, but no go.

I just purchased a larger under-the-saddle bag (which I needed aside from this lock). I'm hoping to squeeze this lock in, but I'm not hopeful. I'm sure this lock will come in handy somewhere, someday, just not today for my bike.

This is our 2nd ABUS lock 2nd only because the children broke off the key in the lock of the 1st one and we needed an immediate replacement.

The best is that we are getting replacement keys sent from Germany (ABUS' headquarters) which is also available for this one. The locks come with a codecard from which new keys can be made.

I have had this kind/shape of locks from different manufacturers for many years in all kinds of weather around the globe so far this brand has lasted the longest.

As for being too cumbersome: just wear it around your waist. I have done this for > 10years for short runs as well as longer commutes in bike clothes, nice clothes as well as in suits just make sure the lock is clean/dry... had no problems ever. If the lock fails to open, well then you'll need good luck, a bolt-cutter or a waist that is not too large (mine is around 32 to 34 inches) and you just wiggle it down it never slid down by itself, though, so this is a really convenient way of carrying it around.

And we still have all our bikes.

Friends say this lock is overkill, but I've had this lock for two years and have not had a bike stolen in that time, likely because it's the thickest, most difficult to break lock at the bike racks! This lock is wonderful for locking up one bike (frame & front wheel) to a non-standard bike rack (like a light post, parking meter, etc), which is great because my city doesn't have enough bike racks around. I can lock two road/cyclocross bikes to a bike rack or similar thin metal structure, frames only, no wheels.

Of course, this lock is heavy and it's a little unwieldy as it doesn't bend easily, but it's a trade off I'm willing to live with because ultimately it keeps my bike safe from terrible bike thieves.

Very nice cassette for the money but it's not Chorus quality. The main reason for the purchase was for it's ratios, I do not need an 11 or 12 tooth cogs. I rather not use compact drive-train as less teeth usually means quicker wear. I wish Campy would offer real world ratios, as I rarely ever need anything bigger than 53x15.

Also, I strongly recommend using a Campy chain.

I've paired it with a non campy chain ... works but nothing like the smooth and precise action of the Chorus cassette and chain.

I was taking a walk and saw a little boy who seemed to be about my grandson's age, riding this adorable scooter. I walked over and looked at the brand as my grandson's 3rd birthday was coming up. When I saw it was made by YBIKE, that sold me. My grandson already has the YBIKE bicycle and his balance skills are extraordinary. As this product was a bit beyond my ability to pay, I offered to go in on it with the other grandma who agreed. Our grandson's birthday was yesterday and he and his friends loved the scooter and took to it immediately.

My real issues is the age / difficulty of the scooter. The description says: "For children still too young enjoy a big kids Scooter, the YBike Kicker is ideal for balance and motor-development while allowing the little ones to feel like a big kid". The thing is that you HAVE to be a bigger kid to ride this. Balance is really hard and the Scooter does not stand on its own. I have to say I was very disappointed. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't be buying this scooter. Maybe when my son gets a bit older but for now not so much.
