I was very excited to get my bike. It's very comfortable and easy riding. Took my husband 1 1/2 hrs to put together. Instructions were pretty clear. I tried, my husband tried and my son tried to set the monitor from metric to English, based on the instructions in the manual and none of us were able to figure it out. Finally called Customer Service this morning only to find out that there was a misprint in the manual and you cannot convert. Now why would they sell an item like this in the US and only have a metric readout. Tried to convert using a calculator and it said I rode 916 miles in 30 minutes. Not too shabby. This is my only complaint about this item, but I think it's a pretty big one.

The bike itself is nice. It is comfortable and pedals nice. It was easy to put together by myself, and only took about an hour. It's VERY quiet. You can hear the tv perfectly when you're pedaling.

There are Five problems I have with it.

The first is that although the manual says that you can change it to miles from kilometers, you can't. The directions for how to do it are clear, but when you try, it doesn't do anything. So when you get off you have to convert it to miles.

The second problem is that if you have to get off the bike for a minute, the computer will shut down, and when you start it up again it's reset. It's fine unless you need a drink or to tend to a needy three year old. It doesn't take long for it to reset either. It's less than a minute. So if you want a total for how far you rode, write it down before you get up or you've lost it.

Third, the heart rate monitor won't work. It's not a huge deal to me because I use a polar heart rate monitor. It's just annoying that it has that feature and it doesn't work.

Fourth, It says it rolls. It doesn't. It more or less slides when you move it. It is light and I don't plan on moving it around, so it's not a big deal to me.

Lastly, the case of the main part of the bike (where all the "parts" are) was cracked on mine when I got it. I don't know if it left Amazon that way or if FedEx cracked it. Either way it has a crack in it.

Over all it is a good bike so far. I'll update if that changes with time.

I had this on my wish list and my girlfriend got it for me for my birthday. Apparently I have some some lbs to drop before beach season. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and can't complain about it. Especially considering the low price of the item.

Assembly was pretty easy. No problems really there. Well, except for one missing screw. Luckily, I could work out a solution for that. And also, there's step where you have to connect the tension cable and I had to loosen a nut in order to get it connected, but I was not able to get it back to its original place. Whether or not this mattered, I haven't seemed to notice. Possible I may have lost a little resistance, but there is still more than adequate resistance to get a good workout in.

The machine functions fairly well for being one of the cheapest around. There's a little creak and wobble when using it, but as long as you don't go ape s!@# on it, it's not a problem.

The seat is a little hard. You may want to look into a butt pillow.

I am 6'1" / 185 and I fit on it at its most extended seat position, just barely though. My girlfriend is 5'1" and it fits her. There's even room to move the seat closer when she's on it, so even being a bit shorter than that would be work. Taller people though, probably not going to fit them.

Elements of the display are hardly accurate or reliable apart from the timer and rpm. Distance is displayed in some kind of mystery unit and the calorie counter just takes up precious battery power. However, I've never really found the displays of even more expensive bikes to be very accurate. So it seems to be right on par with them. I prefer to not let the bike tell me when the workout is up, so I usually just cover up the display anyway and go until my legs almost fall off.

We couldn't get the pulse counter to work for a couple days until it became evident that there was a thin plastic film on the metal contacts that needed to be removed. These were nearly invisible and maybe the reason a lot of people have said it didn't work. They probably never took off the film.

I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a low-budget recumbent bike. It lost a star because of the poor display. However, I am able get beyond that and use it everyday. Overall, I like the bike for the price. It's a great buy if you don't need a display with all the bells and whistles and are just looking for a bike.

PROS:

-Adjustable handle: I am much shorter than my husband so the adjustable handle was a must.

-Straight: we have had no issues with the stroller pulling one direction or the other. It has always traveled straight on course for us.

-Adjustable canopy: the shade is fantastic and a must have. It can be unzipped and detached for additional coverage. It sometimes collapses on its own while running, but you can fix that problem by unzipping it.

-Parent tray: great for its musical abilities. You can play music while running, but the parent tray only holds 2 small bottles and weighs about 2 lbs by itself so we don't use it.

-Pedometer: great and useful, but unfortunately it does not come with a time or a clock.

-Seat and straps: nicely padded and my 3 month old seems quite comfortable and they all wipe off very easily. It is very easy to recline the seat when he falls asleep without waking him up. It's a smooth transition from sitting to lying down.

-Storage space: there are all sorts of storage spaces and the mesh bag by the handles it great to hold my cell phone, water bottle and keys.

-Wheels: good size and easily removable. The pump that comes with the stroller isn't great, but it is just enough if I need a quick fill up when I am out.

-Fixed front wheel: stable and perfect for running as it should be on a jogger. It took us little time to learn steering the jogger.

-Ride & breaking system are great.

-Weight: lighter than other joggers (after doing some research online)

-Length: this stroller is not super long like some of the Schwinn joggers can be

-Consumer Reports: this stroller is one of the top rated and has great reviews.

CONS:

-Parent tray: there are two cup holders, but they are too small for the bike water bottles we use. Moreover, the tray itself is about 2lbs so it adds weight to the stroller. But again, it is great for parents that enjoy listening to music while running.

-Folded stroller: when folded up the stroller is huge, but you can easily remove the front wheel. (About 23 x 37 without removing the front wheel.)

No stroller is perfect. You may like or dislike some of them, so you just have to find the jogging stroller that is right for you at the right price.

My husband and I are really satisfied with this stroller and recommended this exact same one to our friends.

While researching jogging strollers, I was struck by how many of the negative reviews of fixed wheel models are completely driven by the fixed wheel feature. Prospective buyers should understand that a fixed front wheel is an essential safety feature for serious running with a stroller. It will make turning more difficult. That's the intention to avoid accidental sharp turns at high speed. I wouldn't consider running on city streets with a swivel wheel, especially on hilly terrain. Try it some time (with an empty stroller). It's scary when you hit a rock and it shoots sideways.

If you are not a serious runner, but just want to walk or slow jog, and want the all-terrain wheels and stability of a jogging stroller, then get one with a swivel wheel. You will be happier with it. There are even models with a front wheel that swivels for walking, but can be locked for running. The Schwinn Turismo Swivel is worth a look if that's your preference. It is similar in price to the Jeep model. For full speed running, you can't beat the stability of rigidly locked front wheel though.

I read ALL the reviews, weighed the pros and cons, and opted to purchase this stroller. It looks EXACTLY like the manufacturer's photos no deviations of any kind.

Soooooo ... here's the info:

1. It's GOOD sized. I have a small, four-door sedan ... folded, it doesn't fit in my trunk. However, it has an INCREDIBLY simple mechanism for removing and replacing the 2 back wheels. I throw the whole thing in the back seat of my car.

2. The adult tray hardly weighs anything and fits my aluminum water bottles splendidly. Maybe they improved the design after receiving some of the other feedback? The manufacture date on my stroller was November of 2010.

3. The odometer is awesome ... has a heavy-duty cable that runs along the frame of the stroller to its sensor on the front wheel frame. A magnet fastened to one of the front wheel spokes gives it the readings.

4. The speaker for the ipod is not very loud, but it's RIGHT behind where the baby's head goes ... so I'm not sure you'd want it to be any louder. It's not an ipod DOCKING STATION ... it's like a headphone plug-in, so you could use any mp3 player, cell phone, CD player, or if you were really old-school, a WALKMAN. :) There's also a decent amount of room in the "holder" area for keys, chapstick, a little hand lotion or sanitizer. The top snaps shut once everything is inside.

5. There seemed to be some confusion about an air pump in some of the reviews ... this model does NOT come with an air pump. Just to clarify.

6. Smooth, smooth, smooth ... it's a nice "ride"

7. The adjustable handle is really nice and comfortable, however, it does have give to it (i.e., it feels loose, but it's not). Doesn't bother me or feel weird when I use it.

8. The sunshade, harness, and baby tray are all pretty standard nice quality no complaints or issues

9. The reclining feature ... OK, THIS ONE IS BIZARRE ... in the manufacturer's description, it states that the seat back has 5 different positions. Really, it just has a strap (like the kind that secures a portable high chair or adjusts the straps on a car seat) that you tighten or loosen ... and the seat back then rests up against the strap. I'll get some pictures of that feature. I would not think anything about that was easy if the baby were to fall asleep in the stroller and I wanted to "recline" him.

I am extremely pleased with this stroller. Highly recommend it.

I'm writing this review, because now that I'm in the market for a double, I am frustrated with the difficulty in identifying who is writing these reviews walkers? joggers? casual runners?

Performance wise, I keep a 13min 2 mile time for the Army, and I use this for interval training to keep my athleticism up for JiuJitsu, and longer runs for body fat control. Thus, I use this for both speed interval training (Tabata protocol) and slower 4-6 mile runs. I've had this for about 3.5 years with total use averaging about once weekly. It's been across trails, beaches (interval training in sand), and streets. It has taken my daughter from 6 months to 4yrs of age, and there is no reason to think she is going to outgrow it anytime soon.

When my daughter was younger, she liked to tell me to catch up to bikers on gravel trails. Her continued requests can vouch to the comfort of a then 15month old. Limitations of sprinting go without saying when pushing something in front of you, but the point is, this is a great tool if you are looking to continue serious training when you have your kid. I can't see how you could train like this safely without a fixed wheel. Speakers are as tinny as you would expect, but are great because you can hear traffic, but still get some music. The bright orange with 360 degree 3M or plastic reflection is preferable to the later blue model for poorly lit early morning training. Handbrake works fine and rubberized handlebar keeps a sweat and sunscreen grip. The pedometer is a gimmick, but these days smartphones and GPS make it unnecessary.

I am not necessarily against spending money on a quality stroller (her "mall" stroller is a bugaboo). But, I didn't spend alot of money up front on a jogger because I knew the kind of abuse I was going to put it through, and thought I would end up using and chucking whatever I bought. However, like I said, 3.5yrs and still going strong. Outstanding product. Highly recommend.

This is the first jogging stroller I've had, so I don't have much to compare it to. The main reason I bought it was for the Music on the go so I wouldn't have to wear earbuds. That part works well, but it's not very loud. I can hear it fine in the subdivision, but when I get onto a busy street I can't tell whats playing. I'm still trying to get used to the fixed front wheel. The storage underneath is ample. The pedometer is junk. It broke the 2nd day after falling 2 feet onto the ground. The canopy does unzip and comes down far to keep the sun off of my son's face which is nice..Overall, it's a decent stroller.

Cheap SRAM PG950 Bicycle Cassette (9-Speed)

The SRAM powerglide series of cassettes is a very good BUDGET cassette and can give you excellent shifting performance for the price provided you have a good chain in serviceable condition (not stretched) and a good derailleur that is not bent, is adjusted correctly, is mounted to a derailleur-hanger that is straight and true and with a set of high-quality shifters/brifters and cables/housings. All this stuff needs to be in good condition, clean, lubed, and adjusted properly. One fly in the ointment and shifting and even pedaling may be noticeably and negatively effected.

There are so many factors in problems with bicycle drivetrains that I have to read some of the less-favorable reviews for these and other similar cassettes with a grain of salt.

Skipping, bad/slow/missed shifts, noises, and other problems can come from many sources.

Often just replacing one part like this and expecting a magic bullet to fix all your ills is a bit short-sighted. If your old cassette was bad it's almost a certainty that the chain was bad too. Chains wear out faster than cassettes -but a worn out chain will grind away the favorite cogs of a cassette in short order. Replacing a worn out cassette and not replacing the chain will cause the problem to come back in short order. A worn-out cassette will also chew up a new chain in short order too!

It's a good idea, if you are not an experienced bicycle mechanic to review Sheldon Brown's excellent articles on bicycle drivetrains and derailleur adjustments. Do a websearch for "Sheldon Brown Derailleur Adjustment" and just keep reading that page and other linked pages on the Harris Cyclery Website until you have more of the big picture of what you are up against here with modern indexed-shifting systems.

If you are getting a cassette with a bigger largest cog for a lower low gear be aware that you may need to adjust your B-tension screw to keep the derailleur off of the cassette. This is a mistake a lot of people make and can cause serious damage to the chain, cassette and derailleur -even bend the derailleur hanger on the frame if it jams up and/or do serious damage to your wheel. Know what you are doing here please. Us bicycle mechanics really do not enjoy seeing people bring in mangled bikes and having to tell them that the cost to fix the mess will probably cost more than a new bike. Also, be aware that a larger biggest-cog may require you to run a longer chain or risk derailleur damage if the Large/Large cog/chainwheel combination is ever selected (not a good idea to cross-chain like this but still the chain should be able to do it should a mistake happen.)

In my opinion the only downside of this cassette (and any decent bargain cassette for that matter) is a small-medium weight penalty. More expensive units will weigh much less -and may shift slightly better, but not too much -the most important thing in indexed shifting is a high-quality cable and housing followed by a good high-quality indexed shifter lever/brifter. But don't forget proper adjustment of all the components being essential also for everything to work well together. The skill-set necessary to do this is beyond many home bicycle mechanics, at least for the first couple attempts until they learn the tricks.

The tools needed to remove this cassette are a cassette locking tool such as:Park Tool Cassette/Rotor Lockring Removal Tool FR-5/FR-5G a wrench capable of holding the tool, and a chain whip like this: Park Tool HCW-16 Chain Whip/15mm Pedal Wrench. It's not a hard job to physically remove and re-install the cartridge. If your bike was working well when you swapped it should be fine with maybe a small adjustment of the cable to account for small manufacturing tolerances. If you put a bigger largest cog on you will need to adjust the B-tension screw for more clearance.

BEFORE ORDERING: Check your derailleur rating by searching for it here on amazon to be sure that it is rated for a larger cog than you have. Most Shimano medium-cage derailleurs are rated for 27-tooth max but you can usually get away with 28. 30 might be iffy. 30+ tooth largest cogs really need to have a mountain derailleur with a long cage and not a medium-cage (or small cage) road derailleur.

Sorry if this review seems super-long but there is a lot of material here to cover. Good luck with your new cassette, riding should be fun and there is nothing wrong with wanting your bike to shift well and be geared for your type of riding.

Here is my story with this product. I love SRAM products. However, I purchased this cassette along with a SRAM PG 950 9 Speed chain. I have SRAM x-7 shifters, and X-7 Derailleurs. I put everything on the bike, and the chain kept skipping. I realized that it was skipping on the highest (smallest) cog. I thought perhaps the small cog was not on right, or was not tightened enough, so I checked these things and it was fine. I kept adjusting the der. and still the same skipping. It was very frustrating. I had a hunch that the der. hanger may be bent on this bike, so I purchased a new one (over $30.00). I put it on with no changes in shifting. The only part of the drive train that I had not replaced was the rear der. I thought that this had to be the problem. I purchased a new x-7 rear der. (about $50.00). I installed it and it still skipped the same way. UGGGGG!!!! I thought about it some more and decided that something may be defective with the highest gear. I was going to put the old small cog on and see if that may fix the problem. That is when I realized that the lock ring seemed to be bit large and was partially covering the teeth! I looked at the old lockring from the cassette I removed (also a SRAM), and it was considerably smaller. I used it and it fit like a glove, and did not cover any of the teeth. I put my bike back together, and the problem is resolved!! I am a bit peeved though because I bought a hanger and a rear der. that I did not need to replace. I wish I had thought about the small cog before purchasing parts, however, since something is brand new, it should work. I want to email SRAM and let them know about this issue. I cannot find an email address for them. Their site keeps prompting you to call your local dealer.

This cassette came with my Cannondale SL3 when I purchased it 1 year and 2 months ago. Since this was my first mountain bike I punished the cassette because I did not know what I was doing by:

* Shifting while climbing

* Not lubing the chain as needed

* And generally not maintaining the drivetrain

This cassette lasted for 1,600 miles, 95% of that on trails. Let me qualify the trails. In S. Florida the park trails have many short technical climbs and descents which require constant gear changes. 1,600 miles of this type of punishment.

This cassette is outstanding!!

I am finally retiring my 9 speed SRAM cassette. It is over 5 years old. It has over 12000 miles on it. I don't cross my chain big to big or small to small and keep the chain well lubed, and know how to shift without hammering the piss out of the drivetrain. I hear of chains and cassettes only lasting a couple of thousand miles. I have to laugh. I absolutely am buying another SRAM 9 speed cassette and chain. Oh, the only reason I'm retiring it is because my sonin law disassembled the cassette and one of the spacers disintegrated.

I arbitrarily chose 32mm length during a recent single speed conversion project to match up with my new wheels. The wheels I purchased have what I would consider to be minimal sidewall depth, but these presta valves still barely poked through. If you're unsure about sizing with your sidewall, I'd go for the 48mm length instead. It seems to me a longer valve is more attractive than a little stumpy guy barely poking out. I can still use these, but longer would have been better. Heads up.

This is a good quality tube which has worked well for me. I use it in my trainer wheel so I can't give much feedback on real road conditions, but it's great on the trainer.

My only warning as echoed by other reviewers is that the 32mm valve length only sticks out ~20-25mm (1 inch) from my rims which are fairly shallow. With a deeper rim it could be difficult to have enough of the valve for your pump to attach to.

After I installed tube and inflated tire everything was OK. When doing pressure check before next ride the valve stem came out and was stuck in cap. First time this has happened to me in 35 years of bicycling.

I got a set of these from an amazon seller from their website, and these tires are indeed 35mm wide.

The tag says Silento II 37-622 28 x 1 3/8 700 x 35 C.

The tire sidewall is marked 37 622 (28 x 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 700 x 35 C) HS 328 A.

Other than being too big for my application: they look like decent tires.

So if need some 35mm wide trail tires these might work.

Hopefully Amazon will fix this ad to reflect the actual product.
