Your casual thief isn't going to get through this lock. He'll need a massive pair of bolt cutters to slice through the thick cable. The locking device is heavy metal, not plastic, so no concern there. You'll get two heavy keys, with a serial number card, so there must be many thousands of key possibilities. I know nothing about lock picking, but based on the strength of everything else I assume the lock isn't easily pickable.

My only complaint, which goes along with the thick cable I suppose, is that you can only "squish" the lock down so far. I can't carry it on my bike frame because there's no where to put it without it laying on cables or getting in the way of my pedaling. I thought I could wrap it around my seat post, but no go.

I just purchased a larger under-the-saddle bag (which I needed aside from this lock). I'm hoping to squeeze this lock in, but I'm not hopeful. I'm sure this lock will come in handy somewhere, someday, just not today for my bike.

This is our 2nd ABUS lock 2nd only because the children broke off the key in the lock of the 1st one and we needed an immediate replacement.

The best is that we are getting replacement keys sent from Germany (ABUS' headquarters) which is also available for this one. The locks come with a codecard from which new keys can be made.

I have had this kind/shape of locks from different manufacturers for many years in all kinds of weather around the globe so far this brand has lasted the longest.

As for being too cumbersome: just wear it around your waist. I have done this for > 10years for short runs as well as longer commutes in bike clothes, nice clothes as well as in suits just make sure the lock is clean/dry... had no problems ever. If the lock fails to open, well then you'll need good luck, a bolt-cutter or a waist that is not too large (mine is around 32 to 34 inches) and you just wiggle it down it never slid down by itself, though, so this is a really convenient way of carrying it around.

And we still have all our bikes.

I really do not know what to say here. This is lock which i hope is never tested by a bike thief looks like it will work. Just wish it was a tad longer.

Honest reviews on Abus Cenero 970 Key Cable Bicycle Lock (25mm x 3.25-Feet)

Friends say this lock is overkill, but I've had this lock for two years and have not had a bike stolen in that time, likely because it's the thickest, most difficult to break lock at the bike racks! This lock is wonderful for locking up one bike (frame & front wheel) to a non-standard bike rack (like a light post, parking meter, etc), which is great because my city doesn't have enough bike racks around. I can lock two road/cyclocross bikes to a bike rack or similar thin metal structure, frames only, no wheels.

Of course, this lock is heavy and it's a little unwieldy as it doesn't bend easily, but it's a trade off I'm willing to live with because ultimately it keeps my bike safe from terrible bike thieves.

This thing is huge...and heavy, but I think that's what I wanted. I live in the city (LA) and there are creative bad people who steal bikes. I have to use my camel pack to carry it, but I still have my bike and that's all that matters...

I ride my Sbyke all over the neighborhood and it gets a lot of attention. Teens pronounce it, "so cool!" and kids exclaim "oooh!" when they see it. One older adult asked me if I'd built it myself which is actually a reasonable question in my Burbank neighborhood where a lot of movie tech people live. As a full grown adult, I had to adjust the rear spring to it's tightest because of the uneven sidewalks I have to maneuver. It doesn't take much to steer it wrong when you're this tall. I've become quite good at pushing with either foot now, on sidewalk or smooth streets. Thankfully, I live where the streets are well maintained. It's really a lot of fun and I bought a small basket for the front which gives it a perfectly adorable appearance! It's a great way to exercise!

This scooter has been great for my family, well made, glides smoothly, and good handling. I bought one for my daughter (8 yr old) and she quickly picked up how to ride and has been taking it out daily ever since, really great exercise I recently purchased another one for my wife so they could go cruising together and she's loved it as well, I'm impressed how it's versatile enough for a kid or an adult, the old Razor's we had never really worked for anyone but the kids with the full size deck and 2 stem sizes in the box though it is for both a small or tall rider.

Definitely worth the money and a good choice for a kick-scooter I would recommend it to other parents or anyone who wants to make a long walking trip more fun.

If you ever dream of being a roller skater and bmx race biker, you can not go wrong with it.

Youtube and comments at Amazon have enough information for me to get started.

I have two recommendations for someone who's sit in office most of the time.

1. Please read the yellow label about putting air in the tire. The recommended psi is printed on the side of the wheel.

2. It takes practice standing on and making turn.

3. Take it easy.

Thanks for the beautiful machine which is appropriate for mother's day.

Honest reviews on Sbyke P-20 Patented Rear-Steering Scooter

I recently got a pair of Sbykes for my classroom and I couldn't be happier with them! They're incredible!

Let me tell you how it went:

The unboxing:

As soon as I opened the box, I knew I was in for a treat. As I pulled the three parts out, I was amazed at the build quality of the Sbyke. Everything has a real simple and solid feel and there were no signs of corner-cutting or cost-cutting on anything. The wheels, tires, brakes, handlebars, hand grips everything is really well made and sturdy. The first thing I thought was, "They sure don't make stuff like this anymore!"

Remember when toys were built to last? That's the Sbyke in a nutshell. This is a lifetime toy.

Assembly:

The assembly was easy and straight forward. The instructions were simple to follow and well-written, which seems to be very difficult for some companies to do lately. Within 10 minutes I had the Sbyke up and running. I was amazed at how solid-state the Sbyke felt after I attached the three parts (deck, front wheel, and handlebars). There's no give.

First Ride:

My first ride was short! Going down the playground I tried a turn and the Sbyke turned so fast (and tight) that I tipped off sideways. It was the kind of thing my kids and I love, so... Challenge Accepted! My kids and I started practicing and slowly we really began to get it. (Actually they got it a lot faster than I did!) It has a learning curve for sure, but it's a FUN learning curve. It rewards thoughtful practice at first as you try different ways of shifting your weight to get the turns and slaloms you want. Initially, you expect to turn the handlebars and steer that way, but it's actually quite the opposite. Eventually, the weight-shift steering becomes second nature, similar to what it feels like to be a good on a snowboard or a Waverunner. You become one with it and THAT'S when you really start to shine.

One thing is for sure: there were big smiles all around.

Tip: I got both a P16 and a P20 model and I'd say in retrospect I probably would have gone for two of the P20's. The benefit of the P20 is that there are spacers that allow you to raise or lower the handlebars to accommodate your children as they grow over the years. My kids are 7 and 8, and they ride both models equally well, but someday they'll grow out of the P16. I'm 39 years old and 180, and the P20 fits me perfectly, then I get off and a 7 year old gets on and rides it just as well.

If I were getting one for a kindergartener, I'd go for the P16, otherwise I feel the P20 is the best option.

Conclusion:

I'd like to commend whoever invented the Sbyke for using good old American craftsmanship and engineering and coming up with a completely new option for `family' vehicles. Anything that gets kids outside and moving is a good thing in my book.

Simply put, the Sbyke is a real crowd-pleaser and an all-around good time for everyone.

My kids and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!

OK I am a grown-up (well sort of...). Fell in lust with the high tech design and extreme quality. We live at the beach where cruising the promenade on the Sbyke is the only way to travel. Heard rumors that an electric motor is coming in the future get out of the way Segway!

You will be impressed with the high quality of this jewel.

Finally a pump that does not lose pressure in the shock when you take it off.

very easy to use. able to inflate up to 300psi. small/compact size is a plus. rotating hose lets you pump at practically any angle. there's also an air release button to fine adjust your pressures.

Just got my first full-suspension mountain bike (with my first air-sprung fork), so I needed a shock pump. This one works quite well. I'm very pleased with its ease of use, construction and small size. Worked like a champ on my shock and fork. Only minor complaint is the dial numbers are a bit small and hard to see. But I realize this is a small pump and there is only so much area to work with (and my eyesight isn't what it used to be... I would still highly recommend this pump.

Honest reviews on Topeak Pocket Shock DXG Fork & Shock Pump

I ordered this pump after going for several cold temperature rides and my front suspension fork seemed to have lost its 'bounce'. Sure enough, both negative and positive chambers in my Rock Shox Reba were lower than recommended for my weight. The pump was received within a couple of days from Amazon (still don't know how they do it), was a good price, and pump quality was better than expected after reading some of the reviews. The dual locking valve attachment worked perfectly and maintained the chamber pressure at the exact level that I set it at. I kept tweaking the pressure after 4 or 5 test rides and the pressure was exactly where previously set each time. The air release button also came in very handy. Bottom line, highly recommended for keeping your MTB ride behaving properly on the trails.

UPDATE: Pump still deserves 5 stars after using if for several months. Pump is small enough to fit in hydration pack and I was able to use it to fine tune both front and rear shocks on my wife's new MTB bike on her first few rides. The pump also made a trip out to Moab and came in VERY handy on the trails to stop some of our bikes from bottoming out.

This pump has a nifty system for attaching to a schrader valve. There's an outer sleeve that contains the seal, you screw this on first. Then you screw in an inner plunger by turning a knurled ring behind the first sleeve, this breaks the seal of the schrader valve.

Removing the pump from the valve is the reverse procedure, first retracting the plunger, then releasing the seal. The beauty of this system is that you don't lose any air from the shock as you are unscrewing the pump.

The failing is that because the outer sleeve and inner plunger have to seal to each other, and to the hose between them and the pump body, the inner plunger is REALLY DIFFICULT TO TURN. I'm talking painful, frustrating, sweating, tiring, try the other hand hard to turn. I dread using this pump.

(And before you say "Well, just thread them on together...." you must still turn the inner plunger part to break the seal, so this approach is no easier.)

=========================================================================================

Follow-up:

I wrote to Topeak technical support and they exchanged the pump for me. I did have to pay to ship the original back to them, but the replacement pump is much easier to thread onto the shock valves.

25 yrs of competitive mtb...I race both shimano and sram cassettes for the life of me I can't tell the difference in terms of function and wear. I ride big ring 95% of the time and I'll replace my 44t 3 times for every one of these which I seem to replace about every 2500 mtb miles. Even though its old school @ 9s these days I still think it's pretty!

Always have liked the shimano xtr components. They are very smooth in function. You can't go wrong with the products, but you pay for what you get

Cassette works great! Bought KMC chain also. The titanium gears make it very light and seems to shift a lot smoother than the xt that was on it.

Don't use this glove while carrying scrap metal and you will be okay. I used mine for shooting and outdoors adventures. Then I helped my friend with scrap metal and that was the end. They served honorably.

I use these for hunting, not for doing mechanical work, and they function great! They fit well, grip well, are tough, the camo pattern is very unique and cool. They are great for spring turkey hunting and early season bowhunting. One thing that you might not know is that they will work on an iPhone screen, or at least mine work on my iPhone. All around, these gloves are great. I bought two pair at a store last year, and bought two more on here just because I know these are the gloves I will wear 60-80 days a year in the woods for decades.

Best Deals for Mechanix Wear MG-71-010 Camo Large Gloves

I ordered one pair first because a lot of the shooters where wearing these at the range. They work great for that, however they work great for anything you would normally wear gloves for (yardwork, handing rough objects, gardening, etc). The Amazon price is about $10.00 less than I see them elsewhere. I have since ordered another pair and plan on order one two more pair for different tasks.

Honest reviews on Mechanix Wear MG-71-010 Camo Large Gloves

Just great. I will order again. Plus, you have such a large selection to choose from too. Camo is hard to find also.

these are really great gloves. They dont last too long, the fingers start to get holes from working in them but other than that they feel great and look really cool. I would say they would last me about 3 months, to me thats not really long but its a really good 3 months. I would buy again and I would recommend.
