Bought the front wheel as well. For the price, these are great wheels. I docked one star for the sleeve joint as it leaves an uneven surface on the rim that leaves a faint tick when the brakes are applied at speed. I know that this tick will go away with time as the rim wears even, but just something worth noting.

Hey, everyone don't buy them. After 25 minutes into a skating party at a local Roller rink they broke 2 of the 8 wheels altogather feel off save your MONEY.

Please, Please do not purchase this product it is awful. I purchased this for my daughter's birthday and gave her a skate party and would you believe the things broke 30 minutes after putting theme on for the first time. I would not recommend this product to anyone. First of all they're described as "unisex", but when I received them, they were in a mens size. The second and most important reason I would not recommend these skates is the poor quality. I ordered these for my daughter and two friends as Christmas gifts. It is now only two weeks into January, and two of the three pairs ordered are already broken. This is a great inexpensive skate if you are just using them to skate around in. However I do roller derby and the wheels are extremely slippery when I go around turns. I bought these skate for my daughter, she wanted to try it out and I didn't want to spend much money in case she didn't like it. I also bought a pair of nicer speed skates for myself and we hit the rink. The Bullet's boot is not a bad one for the price. The wheels are total junk though, they are made from really cheap plastic and offer no grip indoors, After 2 times at the rink, I replaced them with some nice Sure-Grip (made in USA) Zoom wheels. That helped a little but she kept telling me that she felt like she was gong to fall backwards. I inspected her plates and compared to mine, they were at least 3/8 from the end of the heal which is far too short (mine go all the way to the end of the heel). Not very good at all for the beginner, the wheels should be centered over your heel. To far forward and it's not easy for the in-experienced. Also, the axles and trucks looked very cheap like they would break any minute. I'm not sure if any of the other sizes in this brand are that way but I assure you the size seven is and that's just a bad way for someone to learn to skate. So, being the handyman I am, I replaced her plates and trucks with some Sure-Grip probe nylons which are made in USA. The Zoom Wheels were 40 bucks and the plates were 54. Add that to the 50 bucks for the skates to begin with and maybe you all see my point here. The boot was the only useable part and it's vinyl, not leather. But hey, she has the nicest Bullet skates around! If I were you, I would buy something a little safer that's better built. I know that there are a lot of good reviews on this skate but then again their is also a lot of people who don't know better. You get what you pay for. If you want something better built, I would start with a set of skates from Sure-Grip. They make a nice speed skate with a leather boot and Probe plates with many different combinations of outdoor, indoor or outdoor indoor combination wheels starting at about 140.00. The main benefit is everything but the boot is made in USA and everything but the boot is guaranteed for life, not 30 days like the Chicago's are. I hope this helps.Monday, February 24, 2014
FOREVER Fixie Track Single Speed Bike with Deep V Wheels Reviews
Recently, i moved to Chicago for grad school and for the first time in my life, was bike-less :( Coming from the West, Chicago is well, FLAT to say the least. Knowing this before moving, i opted to leave the DH bike at home and look for something new. I should probably mention that i worked in a bike shop for years, have fixed thousands upon thousands of bikes (not joking) and am generally a hands on kind of guy with a passion for high end stuff. However, coming here, i needed something inexpensive to get around the city. Something with axle nuts and no quick releases, so i don't have to worry about theft. Something with a single gear, so i don't have to worry about any significant maintenance. Something that's light-ish, and quick ah ha, the HASA.
When i saw this bike it was a done deal. Firstly, it has a Reynolds 520 frame, not Hi-tension steel, which is standard on most department store disasters and single speeds in the price point. Yeah, i know 520 is bottom of the barrel Chrome-moly, but its a whole bike for less than $300!! I've paid more for a single derailleur. The build is good aluminum where you want it and in general the parts are pretty decent. It comes with Kenda tires which is nice and the wheels do have Weinmann rims. The crankset is generic, but a little nicer than some others of equivalent value, overall, I'm impressed with the build. Recent outings to local shops would suggest that this bike would cost around the $500 in city, so this is a significant savings. In fact, i haven't seen another bike of the same quality for this kind of money any where else online or in a store.
The factory handle bar is way too wide so i immediately cut 2" off each side. The factory seat looks great, but i found it a little stiff, so i replaced with with a more ergonomic one. I also added some toe clips. Like any bike that comes in a box, it will need a proper tune once you get it home these bikes come 70% assembled, which basically means you have to check everything!! I would recommend removing all important bolts and re-oiling/greasing them to get proper tension. I usually don't use loc-tite on my bikes unless there is something that continually loosens grease makes getting bolts out later, much easier. I often re-dish, tension/true the wheels on a new bike as they are often poorly dished from the factory and can become out of true through the shipping process. Overall, my bike arrived intact, with a few small chips on the stem, no bid deal. This is the first bike that i bought through Amazon and it was pretty painless.
Bottom line. This bike is great value and has decent parts for the money. It works well as a city bike or anywhere there are flat-ish areas to ride. Keep in mind, it only has one gear. I haven't ridden it fixed yet, or plan to. I am about 6 feet tall and the 56cm is about perfect for me. Any gripes about the bike?? i don't really like the plastic brake lever housings, but that's an easy change if you want.. other than that, not really.

Performance my husband is more of a local rider. Around town, to the gym, not really leaving the neighborhood. So for him it worked. Last week my road bike was out of commission so I decided to ride it to work. 10 miles away, few areas of steady incline and a giant hill that never seems to end. I was skeptical yet determined to ride to work that day. The bike performed beautifully! It has a comfortable standing position so I powered up the giant hill with no problems, and the one gear is has was perfect for the remainder of the ride. I timed my ride and it was almost the same as when I take my 24-speed road bike.
Cons needs different brake pads...but who cares? that is just a few bucks.
I am not a bike snob but I do mountain bike and road bike so I like to have decent equipment. Riding this bike to work made me wish I had one for myself!

I purchased this bike a couple of months ago to start riding a fixie and I absolutely love it... NOW. After recieving the bike in pieces and with no instructions, I couldn't figure out how the hell the front upper handle bar holder thing gets attached on with the spacers and such. So after a frustrating assembly of everything except the handlebars, I brought it to a semi-trustworthy local bike shop which then charged me $50.00 to get the bike assembled/ridable. I took it for a test ride and man is it light and fun to ride! After about 2 months of riding to work occasionally, the chain popped off recently and was rendered bent. After further inspection the chain line was diagonal from the front sprocket to the rear. The bike came with a bottom bracket that is TOO BIG for the bike. I then brought it to a reputable fixed gear bike shop. They replaced the cheap/flimsy chain and put in a new bottom bracket for $70.00. The bike feels sooooo good now. So after the $250.00 for the bike, then everything said and done, I finally have a nice reliable fixed gear for $370.00. I have gotten many complements on everything from the rims to the white seat to the overall bike in general. I love riding fixed gear with front brake only, and I never want to go back to riding a mountain bike in the city. I ordered this bike as a Christmas gift for my husband and was immediately aesthetically pleased. The bike has a nice simple black paint job, white handle bars, white chain, white rims and seat. Super sleek and sexy. I have a few snobby bike friends who don't have a problem dropping 3k on road bikes, and they all complimented the look of the bike and gave the "ok" on the Reynolds frame.Performance my husband is more of a local rider. This trike is good quality but it's also super heavy. The frame is all metal and although it gives it a really cool, Harley Davidson, kind of look it's a bit too heavy for our 3 year old girl to pedal. Our neighbors 5 year old tried it and loved it so it might be better for an older kid. Customer service was amazing though and they even rushed this order for us so that we'd receive it in time for my daughters birthday.

This little monster is tough, good looking and went together very easy, in no time at all. It's one hot looking trike and my son loves it... so does my daughter. Aside from causing fights now about who gets to ride it, this was a great purchase.
