Bought the front wheel as well. For the price, these are great wheels. I docked one star for the sleeve joint as it leaves an uneven surface on the rim that leaves a faint tick when the brakes are applied at speed. I know that this tick will go away with time as the rim wears even, but just something worth noting.

Well, I provided a pictures above of my setup with my 06 Specialized Allez. Stable as a rock, the magnet gets abit hot after a an hour of riding, and the noise is almost non-existent with a road bike (tv or radio provided). I wouldn't recommend with a mountain bike for the noise unless you throw some slicks on for the winter.

Resistance is perfect for BEGINNERS or just simple winter training to stay in shape. I bought this to NOT buy a gym membership and have been satisfied ever since.

Setup was a breeze by taking it out of the box, extending it, and fitting it to my bike. In all, about 10-15 minutes after fitting and I was biking.

I gave it 4/5 because the skewer's are tricky. They have to be adjusted everytime, on both sides to level the tire. Other trainers might have a fixed skewer on one side so you only have to adjust one. Both have to be used, which isn't much of an inconvenience but its one less thing I would like to not worry about.

This bike trainer fulfills all my expectations for a bike trainer. And it's reasonably priced! Tip: use slick road tires to eliminate noise and don't forget a block for your front tire.

This is my first bike trainer. I thought I would try this in my apartment, even after reading several reviews online from people saying bike trainers are not for apartments, and now I agree also. I was able to set this up in the basement of the building so it worked out okay for me. I tried it in my apartment, but it was vibrating the floor and quite loud so I didn't want to be rude to my neighbors downstairs. I even tried getting a mat to go under the trainer, but it didn't help the noise very much. The noise is from the tire tread, the trainer itself doesn't make noise that I'm aware of.

Also, it might be helpful for you to know, I was hoping to be able to set this up with my old Huffy, but was not able because the trainer requires a quick-release skewer for functionality, and my old Huffy doesn't have this. So I used my newer mountain bike instead, but then I had to buy a flat tire because the mountain tire was very noisy with the tread. I used free super-saver shipping and it came very quickly I was impressed. I haven't gotten a lot of time on this yet, but I am happy with it so far. Seems sturdy.

It's black and white, not blue if you a picky about the color. There is nothing to do but remove it from the box and unfold it. Nothing to assemble. It comes with an extra quick release so you wont scratch your good one. The unit is silent, if you spin it by hand,(I've tried other brands in stores and they are noisy just spinning them by hand without a tire touching it) any noise you make is from your rear tire. I use a Serfas City Drifter (inverted slick) on my mtn bike and I only need to turn up the TV 4 notches. If you are looking for something to get you in shape for the Tour De France, this is not for you. This will give an average person or new/returning rider a nice cardio exercise. On the 3 level 15mph is 150 watts, 20mph is 200 watts, 25mph is 250 watts, all the way up to 40mph is 500 watts. Unless you are a full-on racer 15-20 mph for an hour WILL give you a good work out and keep your legs in shape during the winter. You will need a small fan as you will be sweating. If you are used to steep mountain climbs, this is not for you, it wont have enough resistance and you will need to look at the more expensive higher wattage or fluid trainers. It is very stable, it is well built and in this price range it is just what I was looking for. It is a well made entry level trainer.

Very easy to install, met all my expectations. I use with mountain bike with road hybrid tires. I cannot hear the noise over my headphones however I could totally see the noise annoying a neighbor if you live in apt.

I was only a little disappointed when we received it, that this particular model doesn't have an adjustable handle. If this is what you are looking for make sure you are buying the DELUXE version. On pictures both of the models look the same, and the names are exactly the same except the one with the adjustment has "deluxe" in it.

I bought two of these for my daughters (2 and 4). They haven't really rode bikes and have little interest in them. They love these! They saw them at the store and jumped right on and off they went!

These have great stability especially for those early "scoot-learners". They have to lean to steer and this works pretty well. The wheels are nice and big in the front. This helps with stability and they roll along exceptionally smooth. The quality is good. My daughters haven't used the brake yet and have a tough time figuring it out at this stage (they just jump off to stop). I'm sure they will get the hang of that eventually.

The bottom is hard plastic so expect to get those scuffs on the bottom from curbs. I like how the scooter is adjustable and will grow with my youngest. My almost 5 year old is on the 2nd setting so she will be able to use it for a few more years as expected.

If you have young kids that aren't quite ready for the balance needed of the big scoots, these are great! Pick one or two up!

9/10/2013: Update

I've had two of these scooters since May. Both my daughters are REALLY getting use out of them now and their confidence has skyrocketed in riding them (you should see my 3 year old go down the hill).

Everything is well intact and looks new! People comment that they are really cool as well. I think these will still last a long time! (That is until they want to graduate to a two wheeled scoot or bike!

Made mostly of plastic, but surprisingly sturdy. Bought this for our 4 year old daughter, and her 8 year old brother and her two 12 year old sisters ride it all the time, and I have to admit that mom and I have occasionally hopped on it! Easy for the kids to balance and rides smoothly. Definitely recommend this for the younger ones who want a scooter like their older friends or siblings, but mom and dad aren't quite ready to turn them loose on a regular scooter.

Review of Bike Peddler Take A Look Cycling Eyeglass Mirror Helmet Adaptor Kit

I purchased this item to allow me to move my Take A Look mirror off my glasses to a more secure mounting point on my helmet. I absolutely love the Take A Look mirror but I have very thin wire frame glasses that just did not provide a secure mount for the mirror. As others have pointed out this is just a simple piece of translucent plastic with two tabs that are supposed to attach to the foam on the inside of your helmet with included adhesive pads. The problem for me with this approach is that I could feel the plastic piece against the side of my forehead and due to the curve of the helmet foam the adhesive would tend to pull away from the foam on one of the tabs. I fixed this by carefully drilling out two very very thin slots in the foam just thick enough to allow a tight fit for the tabs with the adhesive pads removed. Once I was satisfied with the dry fit I removed the tabs from the slots and covered them with some 5 minute epoxy and pushed them back into the slots. The tabs are so thin that once they are epoxied back in the slots the integrity of the foam liner should not be compromised. A very small amount of foam is being removed here and the void in the foam is being filled by the mirror mount. Now my mirror mount is rock solid and sets about 1/4 inch out from the inside edge of the foam. This provides me a very stable rear view even over bumps. I just leave the mirror attached to the mount all the time, but it would be easy to remove and reattach over and over if you are so inclined. Once the mirror is removed you would barely notice the small portion of the plastic mount protuding below the surface of the helmet.

First off, I love the Take A Look mirror. I recommend that product without reservation.

That said, this adapter did not work on my Atmos. The positioning of the straps and support system on that particular lid won't let me mount the adapter in any usable position. But I am not going to base my product score on that. I think helmet designs are diverse enough that it would be nearly impossible to design a simple adapter that worked on all of them.

But about the adapter, it is just a small piece of plastic with mounting adhesive. It is transparent so it won't be an eyesore when the mirror is not mounted. Simple and effective design. Can't say much more about it.

I like the idea of having the option to mount the mirror on my glasses or helmet, and if this product would mount on my hardhat, it would be well worth the price and I would use it and love it. Sorry to report that I cannot use it. I will just continue mounting the excellent mirror on my sunglasses.

I purchased this at the same time I purchased the rectangular eyeglass mirror. I did not know that the mirror could attach to the helmet visor. I attached my old one to my eyeglasses but wanted another option because my sunglasses are thin wire frames and do not hold the mirror well. For what it is it is not bad but I did find that you need to be careful when adjusting the mirror or the helmet as the mirror can slide off the adaptor.

I actually thought that I was getting the mirror when this adaptor showed up. I sent it back for a full refund to BikeWorldUSA who credited me for my mailing costs. I paid the additional money needed and they sent me the LOOK Mirror.

It was ridiculous to pay almost half the price of the mirror just for $.10 piece of plastic to attach it.

In my 30 years of riding with many different mirrors, I have never purchased a mirror that didn't include all the required attaching hardware. I can easily make the mirror attach with some plastic and double sided peel off posterboard squares.

I did this with my previous mirror that still works fine on another helmet.

I love the mirror itself for the multiple swivel options and it is much sturdier than the plastic mirrors. This is my second Look Mirror. I found that the plastic mirrors with the plastic ball and socket start to loosen after a few years. But the positive side to the plastic mirrors is they are made to easily attach to the helmet.

They should make the Look Mirror with either a helmet attachment end or an eyeglass frame attachment and give the buyer the choice

This plastic bit is supposed to stick inside your helmet and then you can clip the mirror onto it. This worked fine for a while, until I went on a longer ride and really started to sweat. I'm talking about "industrial-strength" sweat! And the adhesive on the adapter, even though it's 3M VHB adhesive, was not up to the task. I love the Bike Peddler Take A Look Cycling Eyeglass Mirror but I ended up using cable ties to attach it to my helmet, after the adapter fell out on that ride.

Very well made, and easy to assemble, tons of fun. My son is a large 2 and a half year old (35 #) and not the most daring, he has never ridden any tricycle with success, but it only took a day for him to figure out how to steer the bike, lift his feet and roll down our driveway; now he has to take a spin every morning before "school". Not sure when to reduce it to just two wheels, but I am thrilled it will grow with him. Should be stored under cover, and helmet is a must!

I bought for my 2 1/2 year old for Easter. He loves Thomas so naturally he loved this. I got the new revised handlebars, has lots of thomas talking and things for him to do on the bike. He's around 38 inchs tall and can reach the pedals just fine on the highest seat adjustment with room to grow, he hasn't mastered the pedaling part yet, he has only been driving it in the house so far cause of the weather. We have tile and wood floors and he scoots pretty fast around and its better than those baby ride on because its slightly taller and easier to move it looks like. Also has a compartment in front for {thomas} sunglasses, I can see him being able to ride this for the next few years to come for sure. Worth the money compared to other ones, and shipping was fast and free!!

Good size for my small 3 1/2 year old grandson he can reach the pedals and can ride and steer the bike fine. It will probably work for him for at least another year. Better than many others we looked at. And its a cute bike.
