My fiance is an avid runner and runs 3 miles every single day. I was concerned because she either runs in the morning or after work both times are dark out being it is winter. Although she runs in the neighborhood that does not have sidewalks, she told me about a "close call" with a driver not seeing her although she wore bright colors. I set out on quest. At first, I purchased a reflective vest that was highly rated. This worked great. Still it was only reflective and did not produce it's own light source. It did not make sense to me... there had to be something out there. I created in my mind a vest that had it's own light source. I found this and it is perfect. Not too bright to be annoying yet bright enough to be seen from many many more feet than just a reflective vest. The best life insurance one can have if playing in the street after dark like our parents told us not to.

This vest is great lightweight and bright, highly recommend for night or low light runners or walkers. the first vest i purchased the led lights ran vertically in the vest. people complained about uneven weight distrobution, these have them horizontally...Great product

Bought this for a relay race and it worked as advertised. Below are things I think that should be improved (easily):

1. The velcro placement is awkward and you need to be careful when adjusting it not to snag your tech T-shirt. This should be re-designed on the outside of the vest vs. inside.

2. The botton battery should be better sealed against water (the small piece of plastic sleeve fall off easily), ideally so one can rince the vest without removing the battery or the light strip.

3. The light strip on the front should really be white vs. orange. That way people can more easily tell if the wearer if coming closer or moving away.

overall, I am very happy with this vest. I use it to walk my dog in the evenings, and the LEDs are bright and get me noticed when it gets dark out. It is designed to be an easy fit over anything, and I have no complaints about the fit, but I am a smaller person. The fabric parts of this vest are smaller, so if you are really big, this may be a little small looking on you (though it will still reflect and light up, I guess).

I just wish that the fabric on the vest (that's not reflective or LED) was a bright orange color. I start my walks when it is still light out, and I wish the vest stood out during the day too. The LED and reflective strips are fine for dark, but I don't see why the rest of the vest can't also be a bright color for better dusk visibility.

There really isn't any one place to get all the information you need for this job, so here it is. Replacing a chain is easy and it's like riding a new bike. Very smooth pedaling. Highly recommended. It's a 15 minute job.

First, count the number of sprockets on the back wheel. Sprockets are the gears. For me it was 7.

That's the number you need to order. This is a 6/7/8 chain, so it will work if you have 6, 7 or 8 sprockets.

Next, decide which chain. The quality goes up with the numbers. 50, 60, 70, 91. This one, 50, is at the bottom.

You'll need a chain tool for about $12. I got the IceToolz Chain Tool 7-10 Speed Shimano HG/IG/UG chain tool, but note that the 7-9 size costs about half as much. Your chain tool should also have a number that matches any number on the chain (not the number of sprockets). My tool says 7-10, so with 7 as one of the sizes of the chain I'm good to go. Note that even if you have 6 sprockets, because this chain *could* fit 7, the 7-9 or 7-10 tool will work for a 6/7/8 chain. It would not work for a 5/6 chain because 5 and 6 are not within the 7-9 or 7-10 range of the tools.

A chain tool lets you break links and put links on. There is no such thing as a master link: you just use the links that are on the chain to connect to one another. One reviewer said he used a missing link you DON'T need a missing link or other kind of master link. The only thing a missing link will do is it will let you put the chain on without a tool, but putting the chain on with the tool is easy if you use the trick I describe below, so I'd skip the link and just buy the tool. If your chain is broke, you can use the missing link if you really want to otherwise, you'll need the tool to pull the chain off, so you can use it to connect the chain without a missing link. Connecting the chain is trivial.

You might also want disposable gloves probably two pair. The new chain is greasy. You'll probably want a newspaper to put the old greasy chain on, a cable tie or twisty tie to tie back the deraileur and a zip lock bag to put the extra links from the new chain in for storage. You may want to consider cleaning your rear gears when the chain comes off. I carefully use carburator cleaner, avoiding getting any into the hub by just spraying the bottom.

Take the chain out of the box it's in a plastic bag. Find the extra pins that come with it. Save those for emergencies, you don't need them now.

Shift to the smallest diameter sprocket, front and back. Note where the chain goes: it's usually over the top derailer sprocket and then under the bottom one.

Now, here's the difference between a 15 minute easy job and a half hour of problems: pull the rear derailer all the way forward and use a wire or cable tie to tie it to the bike frame.

The chain links are connected by pins. Pick any one on the old chain and use the tool to push it through. Pull the chain off. If you want to clean the rear gears, now is the easiest time to do it.

Hold the old chain up to the new one with the top ends matched and find the link on the new one that matches the last link on the old one. Be careful: a very old chain will have stretched a bit, and so you may have to match the links halfway down the chain so that you get the same *number of links*, not the same *length* chain of a stretched chain.

Hold what should be the last link of the new chain with your fingers and set down the old chain. Push the lower pin on the link you are holding completely out of the new chain. The lower pin is the one that connects the link you are holding with the next one, the first one you don't need.

String the end of the new chain through the sprocket and derailer, starting with the end that has no pin. The other end has the pin sticking out of it so that you can push it right back in to link it, but with that pin sticking out, you can't thread that side through, so use the side with no pin to thread it through the deraileurs. If you can, you want the pin sticking out on the other end to be facing away from the bike, but it's not fatal if it's not. Note that the chain will be threaded *through* the bike frame: you can only string it through before you connect it: you can't connect it and then get it on the bike somehow. The two ends of the chain should be hanging down. Note the chain needs to go through the front deraileur, and if there is a tab sticking in between the top and bottom sprocket of the rear deraileur, the chain will go inside the tab.

Match up the links and place them together. If they won't go together, separate the open end a bit with your fingers, and then slide the open end over the midpoint of the link on the other end, then pull it back to the proper position so that the ends line up.

Use the chain tool to push the pin sticking out back in fully so that it lines up with the others on the chain. The two end links should swing somewhat freely (though not as much as the others): you may have to push the pin in a little more or push it out from the other side. Now work the link up and down and side to side to get it to swing a bit more freely. (You'll note a reviewer below points out that you have to use a special pin, but I don't believe that's true until the chain breaks: the special pin is already installed sticking out when you receive this chain, so that all that is necessary is to push it fully in to install. If the chain breaks, he is correct that you have to replace the pin you use to connect the links with one of their pins).

Undo the wire or cable tie you used to hold the derailer forward against the bike frame. Save the extra links in a zip lock bag and the extra pins that came with the chain.

Get a chain lubricant and lube the chain. The grease on the chain will last a few miles: it's primarily a rust inhibitor. I use Tri Flow oil, but I'm not a super serious biker. More serious bikers will want something pricier.

Ride about a mile to let the oil work its way in to the nooks and crannies of your chain, then take a paper towel or rag and wipe the excess oil off. This will keep the road dirt from attaching to the oil, gunking up the chain and grinding it down.

The "new bike feel" really comes from having a new chain (it's very smooth to pedal) and a fully adjusted set of brakes with new pads. I changed the pads, and adjusted my brakes, and a used bike I bought with a rusted chain really felt like new.

This is a well built chain from a reputable company. It's not one of Shimano's best chains, but will serve the purpose and is reasonably priced. I'm giving it three stars, though, because I found Shimano's included instructions more confusing than helpful. A previous reviewer supplied relatively detailed and generally helpful instructions, but he also included some relatively significant misinformation. He was correct in his description of a "master link" (and the absence of such master links in most chains), but incorrect in his understanding of how cut links are joined. Older chains allowed users to choose any rivet to remove and replace. Newer chains have rivets that are peened (mushroomed at the outer plate). Extruding those pins destroys the peened surface and weakens the chain (if the same pin is pressed back into the link). Shimano provides special joining pins that must be used to connect links (and those pins are then permanent...if you need to remove the chain, you need another joining pin). The problem with the Shimano instructions is that there are at least 4 different styles of joining pins available, and each pin requires a slightly different installation (some are left slightly extruded, some must be flush, some are longer, etc.). The instructions include information about all of the pins, but it's difficult to match up the product number on the package with the instruction sheet. Even the Shimano website is confusing (three different information sheets for this particular chain, depending on a model number that is not evident on the packaging). I chose to keep my pin edges flush with the outer plates. Updates to follow, if the chain fails.

I bought this chain to replace a snapped one on my 2012 Specialized Hardrock SE. There isn't too much to this chain, its a very basic and low-level chain that will work with many entry-level bikes, though you should definitely double check to make sure it'll work with your drivetrain.

The only real issue I had with it was partly my fault I left the chain at its original length, thinking that it "looked about right" and then joined it together. Turns out, it was too long and when in lower gears the derailleur is fully contracted and the chain rubs on itself, not good! Since this chain uses a break-off pin to connect, it means that you'll have to use another pin if you ever want to disassemble the chain for cleaning or to shorten in. If a couple pins were included, this might not be a big deal but you only get one with the chain itself. So I had to spend $9 for a 3-pack of extra chain pins, not ideal.

So overall it'll work nothing fancy, no powerlink or handy features, but at this price point I'd say its a good deal. If Shimano would include an extra pin or two, maybe I'd even give it 5 stars!

The Tires that I ended up getting from the Amazon vendor (Chaparral Motorsports) were three years old when they arrived on my doorstep. Tires have a shelf life, and if I'm being sold something new, I expect it to be newer than that.

Additionally, the tire was not wrapped when shipped. Just the tire with a few packing/shipping stickers taped to it is what showed up at my door. Not even any cardboard around it to protect the tire a little bit.

Only reason I used Amazon was because I had a gift card that I needed to use. However, I'm very disappointed in this experience and won't be using Amazon again for a purchase of this nature.

The week this product arrived, a friend managed to get a thorn in his tire. We rode to his house and completed the job in 5 minutes. Here are the steps:

-Turned bike upside down and removed wheel

-removed inner tube from tire

-Found the hole (you may need water or soapy water to help)

-Sanded hole area to be patched at least the size of the patch

-Applied the sticky patch. Be careful removing it from it's backing because it is a gooey sticky mess if you aren't careful. Smoothed it out to remove air bubbles

-installation is opposite of removal. Align valve in tube with hole in wheel first

-Push tire and tube onto wheel.

-Pump with air and go bike!

The bike was a Trek about 7 years old, 26" standard style, not MTB or racing type. We did not need the included tire tools, just an air pump. It comes with a little piece of sand paper, but since I knew about it before I left I brought my own sandpaper so I can use the kit sand paper in a real emergency. Sanding the hole prior to patching seems important to remove any loose grim around the hole too allow proper adhesion. The patches are very gooey and sticky. This kit seems good for punctures without having to carry a spare inner tube but won't help if the wound is much larger than a hole from something the size of a standard sized 3.5mm headphone jack.

The tire held up for the afternoon ride, if the patch does not work long term, I'll update this post. Overall I was happy it is light weight and easy to use.

As an avid cyclist, this thing comes in handy a lot. Makes repairs quick and easy and has definitely more than paid for itself with the time and money I've saved. Your results may vary on the repairs, but you'll most certainly end up with something to last you until you can get where you're going and they might just last a little longer. Have had some patched tubes last me longer than the tires themselves. Never had a problem with anything drying out but I probably go through these more quickly than most.

The levers seemed strong but the tip does bend after several uses. Also the patch seems to hold air after several weeks and gradually leak over a 2 month period despite proper patching technique. I find rubber cement patch kit work better than this tape patch even though it's more convenient on trails.

I bought two sets of these, one for my bike and one for the wife's bike. Assembly took a total of less than 10 minutes, including adjusting the rear fender for optimal position.

The flared ends really catch a lot of water and crap that many other fenders might miss. The ends are made from a soft rubberized transparent plastic, which is also pretty cool, they toss small gravel, rocks, water and mud aside pretty efficiently. Assembly and adjustment is performed with a hex wrench, but once you get them on, they stay in place. My previous fender required constant re-adjustment, so it's nice to see someone get the design right.

Fenders are very easy to install. Easy to take off when not needed and durable for long use. With the flared ends it catches alot of water other fenders don't. Good price for a fender set such as these!

I ride a 2010 P1 jump bike I also use as a commuter. I picked these up to keep from getting splashed when riding conditions are wet. they are easily removed when I go out to the skate park, hit The jumps, or shred urban (though I leave them on for urban assault when its wet out). I swap them from my P1 to my Rat Rod (which is fenderless) when the wife and I go cruising together after it rains. Though I have not actually tried other products like this I have to say I believe they are amongst the best if not THE best I have seen.

Product looks great. rear fender fits and works great. one downside i found was the quick release collar for the seat post. it works great, but at the same time it will work great being removed by anybody else if you keep your bike locked up. front fender does not fit the fork i currently have, but i had planned to install a new one before i bought the product, so it's not a problem for me. a front brake mounted alternative would be very nice. although the fork i'm planning on has no bosses for brakes other than disc.

This set of fenders are easily mounted. The front fender comes w/ a removable outer wedge to use on smaller whole opening under the front fork and the rear fender is adjustable. No instructions needed if you're a handy type of person.Well worth the extra money than the cheaper fenders that can become warped in shipping. Sturdy, built to last and not flimsy.

My 4-1/2 year old loves these skates, and so do I. Quality is excellent. Performance is exactly where I wanted it to be for a beginning skater very much more controllable than roller blades. I did have to call the manufacturer before ordering though to clear up my sizing concerns. My daughter's shoe size was a 12 when I ordered and initially I didn't see anything smaller than a 1. Others complained of the big first size. If you scroll down the sizes you will see the smaller sizes at the bottom. I believe there is a J12 and J13. That would be junior 12 and 13. I got the 13 (a size bigger than shoe size) and it is a perfect fit very easy to put on with just the right amount of room to grow. I highly recommend these skates!

My 6 y.o loves these roller skates. Skates around the house almost all the time. Boot is supportive, but not stiff. Feels like real leather. True to size. She wears a 13 in all her shoes. Tried Roller Derby, will stick with Chicago Girl.

They are good for a beginner skate because the wheels do not go super fast. The boot of the skate is a little stiff but may just need broken in.

I bought a size 7 for my daughter (runs large) based on other reviews almost a year ago and she still uses them. She's 10 and I wanted a skate to last longer than a shoe at her age and this one does. You can't beat the price for what you get. The sizes run a little large, but they can wear thick socks while their feet grow. I also bought a pair for myself and I am so happy that I did. The rink skates are narrow and pinch my toes! For the price, you can't get a better skate and it will last through the growth spirts!

We ordered these skates for my 9 year old daughter after not finding much selection in stores where we live. These are a classic roller rink skate and are well made. I love the vintage old school look, and my daughter just lit up when we took them out of the box. Keep in mind when ordering that these run really big at least a full size larger. My daughter normally wears a 3/4 in girls shoes so we ordered the 4, but these def are a full size larger. This will be ok as she can grow into them, but for now she puts on two pairs of cushy socks to fill the gap. I wear a womens size 6, and these were too big even for me. Another reviewer said these run true to size, so maybe it just depends. My daughter says these are comfortable, and she loves having her own skates when we go to the rink. These seem to be holding up well, and are definitely a good buy, especially with free shipping.

The windshield is very easy to install, It is very rugged and holds up to my hunting trips. One problem, just as I had read when riding on dirt trails or road a vacuum is formed inside and the dust is horrible. Have not found a fix yet but the windshield is an excellent buy other than the dust.

First of all the price was very reasonable, and the windshield was easy to install. It also has brackets that you loosen then move it in to the position that you like. Seals out air and dust. Would defiantly recommend this!!!
