I was able to put sealant in these tubes, making them very puncture resistant. Also, they are very light, which is a great addition.

I think the rims are 44mm. My local bike store doesn't have them in stock and presta value extenders don't do the trick because the diameter is too small for it. It's just best to buy the right inner tube.

Amazon has very competitive prices and these were able to do the job.

OK, I have been looking for a race tube for my 60mm deep dish aero wheels, and so far have not found any that have that deliver the durability I would like.

One does brand however does stand out because it consistently failed for no reason. What I mean is that there is an unexplainable failure in the tube wall, on every one purchased.

I found in KENDA tubes a small pin hole develops in the tube without a corresponding hole or damage in the road tire. This has happened enough times that I won't buy products Kendra any more, and suggest you look elsewhere too.

Best Park Tool Professional Tool Kit - PK-63 Deals

Park Tool PK-63 Professional Tool Kit
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

The only thing preventing this product from receiving a five star review is the case it came in. The top is not rugged enough to support the weight of the full kit and was cracked before it was even out of the shipping container. I recommend you plan on purchasing a high quality metal tool box to hold this in.

Otherwise an outstanding investment. Nearly complete for all maintenance and many repairs on any type of bike, this includes enough tools that you would likely spend twice the money or more assembling the kit piecemeal. There are a couple items missing however, which are easily added for small $$. Most notable is the lack of a shop hammer. Park's hammer is good, or you can find the equivelent at most hardware stores a medium weight mallet with one metal surface and one rubber. Also missing are lubricants and solvent. Bearing grease is provided, though.

If you add a repair standPark Tool Team Race Stand PRS-20 and truing standPark Ts-2.2 Truing Stand to this, along with the hammerPark Tool Hammer-4 Shop Hammer, lubricants and solvent, you will be ready to do full disassembly/reassembly type overhauls along with many repair jobs. (links are my recommendations any equivalent is fine)

If you are a stickler for wheel maintenance, you may wish to add the better dishing guage found at the link below, but it would be a luxury addition, as there is an adequate dishing tool in the kit. Park Tool WAG-4 Professional Wheel Alignment Gauge

Highly recommended if you are looking for a complete kit.

Great tool kit. You can almost open your own shop with this kit. Tool box that it comes in is pretty weak. The shelf in mine was broken when I received it, but you can't beat this deal on all of these tools. I have already used the derailer hanger alignment tool, headset press tool and many others. You can't go wrong with Park Tools to work on your bike.

I was in the need of some bike tools, and I didn't want to piece together a bunch of tools so I started with this kit. The picture & tool list isn't correct on Amazon's website, but it is correct on Park's website. I'm very pleased with my tools. Ken in Seattle

Honest reviews on Park Tool Professional Tool Kit - PK-63

Tools are rather cheap looking and feel cheap also. One piece was damaged because everything in the tool box was allowed to bang around inside, loose. Another had a manufacturing defect, where is the quality control?

Several items were "Made in China". Park Tools gave a lame excuse for using China for some of their tools.

Come on, Park...there are plenty of good inexpensive MADE IN USA screwdrivers! The hammer was made in China also and looks like it too. Crescent wrench is from Taiwan, again there are plenty of good MADE IN USA wrenches! This wrench also is finished with knife edges around the jaw, very unsafe to use. These tools look like they came from the Dollar Store.

A couple of the other tools have KNIFE EDGES on them also, how about making them safe to hold in your hands?!! Tool Box is next to worthless, you end up having to throw your tools on top of other tools in the box...how about a metal tool box PARK?!! Blue "ruler" is hard to read as the numbers are the same color as the ruler, this too has sharp edges.

Amazon's list of tools and picture are different then what you get. There are several discrepancies on this list and that is unacceptable. I would return this 'kit' except it would cost over $90.00 to ship it back.

Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube, 700 x 35-40 (27 x 1-3/8) 32mm Reviews

Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube, 700 x 35-40 32mm PRESTA Valve

Unlike some other reviewers, I've waited several months before posting my review. I don't find it helpful whatsoever to hear someone's opinion about how a functional product looks, or that they haven't tried it yet and can't really offer me any assurances.

Anyway, that aside, before I bought these tubes I made a daily commute of about 15-16 miles every day. I rode over all sorts of terrain, but generally sidewalks and streets, some of which were very scarcely swept and which persistently have broken glass littered all over. Under those conditions I was getting a flat every one or two weeks, and was missing classes in college as a result. Not only was it inconvenient, but it was prohibitively expensive to buy new tubes or have to constantly restock patches and vulcanizing glue.

So I decided to buy a pair of these puncture-resistant tubes. They're not a lot more than regular tubes, really. Installation was a bit finnicky, though; the tubes are very thick rubber and are much heavier than usual. It was difficult to fit them into my tire, but that's probably because my tires were slightly undersized (there's no danger in getting an oversized tube, it's vice versa that you don't want to do). The good thing is that since they're so stiff the danger of pinching them during installation is slim.

I bought a spare just in case I'd have to perform a swap, but, I never even used it! For the past three months I haven't even gotten a single flat. It's practically miraculous. Now I ride over palm trees, debris, glass, and branches and don't even give it any conscious thought. It's certainly saving me a lot of money, and having to remove and patch or swap tires is a royal pain, so I'm glad to have my bike require less maintenance. I had even bought some "STOP Flats 2" tire liners and never ended up needing them. Some people who live in different areas of the continent might want to double up, though, since there are more aggressive species of thorned plants out West, I understand. I live in an urban area in Miami FL and my worst concerns are usually sharp branches and glass.

These also operate and feel surprisingly stiff at low PSI, which I like because it makes bumpy rides more comfortable. The valve stem is disappointingly short, but it's still totally serviceable. All in all, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. The next time I work on a friend's bicycle, I'll be replacing their tubes with these.

-----------------------------------------------

UPDATE: February 2nd, 2013.

I think it's been nearly ten months since my last review. Thus far my tubes are, surprisingly, still going strong. My third tube is still sitting unused in my closet. I've been riding a daily commute of approximately 15 miles, which over the past two months has been reduced to 7 miles, giving me a usage over the past duration of around 2400 miles.

With that said, I've noticed that the tubes are tending to lose their air a little more quickly now, and I have to top them off marginally more frequently. Of course, since the rubber is pretty thick, when the tire drops in PSI it's not imminently noticeable.

Something that's important to note is that these tubes really do weigh quite a bit in comparison to normal tubes. I didn't become acutely aware of it until coming into possession of a second road bike, which I now use to race, while keeping the other cycle loaded with these tubes as a commuter. Since these are basically made for a commuter bike, I don't think this reflects negatively on the product.

I'll probably leave another review in a few months again, or when this tube finally needs replacing.

-----------------------------------------------

UPDATE: August 15th, 2013.

This'll probably be the last time I update this review, at least until I begin using my bicycle again, assuming that the tubes are still good! Don't worry, I haven't given up the ghost; I simply appropriate a new Cinelli cycle that's much, much lighter and faster. I still occasionally use my Schwinn loaded with the Thorn Resistant tires, and I can report that they're still holding air and quite all right after riding around on sidewalks and dirty city streets.

Installed this tube on a Trek 7500 hybrid bike. Much much sturdier tube than OEM equipment. Very pleased.

Keep in mind, stem is only 32mmmight be too short for certain rim applications.

I can not attest to the puncture resistance yet but they sure seems sturdy.

The tube is really heavy though and so thick walled so that it doesn't seem to properly expand inside a Kenda Kourier 700x40 tire I use it with. Furthermore the valve 'stem' is so short so that it may be tricky to pump with some pumps.

The sizing was as advertised. Nice thickness and should really help with road problems, such as nails, thorns, etc. The shipping was quick and the packaging very good. I am very happy with this purchase and response of seller.

I think these are what you want if you bike through mine fields. They are THICK and heavy, leave these at home when you ride the Tour de France. But for cross country or across the hood, these will get you there flat free.

Finally a pump that does not lose pressure in the shock when you take it off.

very easy to use. able to inflate up to 300psi. small/compact size is a plus. rotating hose lets you pump at practically any angle. there's also an air release button to fine adjust your pressures.

Just got my first full-suspension mountain bike (with my first air-sprung fork), so I needed a shock pump. This one works quite well. I'm very pleased with its ease of use, construction and small size. Worked like a champ on my shock and fork. Only minor complaint is the dial numbers are a bit small and hard to see. But I realize this is a small pump and there is only so much area to work with (and my eyesight isn't what it used to be... I would still highly recommend this pump.

Honest reviews on Topeak Pocket Shock DXG Fork & Shock Pump

I ordered this pump after going for several cold temperature rides and my front suspension fork seemed to have lost its 'bounce'. Sure enough, both negative and positive chambers in my Rock Shox Reba were lower than recommended for my weight. The pump was received within a couple of days from Amazon (still don't know how they do it), was a good price, and pump quality was better than expected after reading some of the reviews. The dual locking valve attachment worked perfectly and maintained the chamber pressure at the exact level that I set it at. I kept tweaking the pressure after 4 or 5 test rides and the pressure was exactly where previously set each time. The air release button also came in very handy. Bottom line, highly recommended for keeping your MTB ride behaving properly on the trails.

UPDATE: Pump still deserves 5 stars after using if for several months. Pump is small enough to fit in hydration pack and I was able to use it to fine tune both front and rear shocks on my wife's new MTB bike on her first few rides. The pump also made a trip out to Moab and came in VERY handy on the trails to stop some of our bikes from bottoming out.

This pump has a nifty system for attaching to a schrader valve. There's an outer sleeve that contains the seal, you screw this on first. Then you screw in an inner plunger by turning a knurled ring behind the first sleeve, this breaks the seal of the schrader valve.

Removing the pump from the valve is the reverse procedure, first retracting the plunger, then releasing the seal. The beauty of this system is that you don't lose any air from the shock as you are unscrewing the pump.

The failing is that because the outer sleeve and inner plunger have to seal to each other, and to the hose between them and the pump body, the inner plunger is REALLY DIFFICULT TO TURN. I'm talking painful, frustrating, sweating, tiring, try the other hand hard to turn. I dread using this pump.

(And before you say "Well, just thread them on together...." you must still turn the inner plunger part to break the seal, so this approach is no easier.)

=========================================================================================

Follow-up:

I wrote to Topeak technical support and they exchanged the pump for me. I did have to pay to ship the original back to them, but the replacement pump is much easier to thread onto the shock valves.
