We tried tying it to the kayak about three different ways with limited success. Makes for a wobbly way to transport your kayak. We'll keep it and make do, but it's not a great solution.

Seemed like in a picture that it folded, but does not. The tie downs did't extend fully over my canoe, solved this by cutting them in half and fixing them to each side so they only had to extend over, rather then over and back. Works fine, more stable then another I had tried.

Master Chain Tool with Peening Anvil Review

Master Chain Tool with Peening Anvil
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

It's expensive, but it works like a charm. I just got it and tested it on some links that I removed from a SRAM chain. My old Park tool was very difficult to turn to push out the pins. I would have to put a vise-grip on the handle to turn the screw. It would get the pin out with great difficulty, but would bend the tool handle and mangle the removed link. I dreaded using that tool. This tool is a completely different experience. It's easy to turn the handle to push the chain pin out and nothing gets bent. Very fun to use and an excellent design; viewing ports to see how much of the pin has been pushed out and the base that hold the chain is shaped like a chain link to hold the chain precisely where it should be located. I love this tool and Park tools in general.

Great pump. Key aspects:

1) Steal base is wide and stable.

2) Pressure guage is located at top of shaft. It is easy to read as far as pump guages go.

3) Pumping is effortless. I attached it to my mini-van tires, and with a good deal of pumping, was able to top off the pressure. Not more convenient than a air compressor, but definitely do-able in 5 10 min of pumping if you need to do it.

4) Pressure guage is accurate, and includes a bleed valve so that you can release air without removing the hose from the valve.

Only complaint: the T-type valve adapter is just a little bulky. It could be a problem if you need to get it into a really tight space (this problem is very unlikely for the typical user, but possible I think). A cheap valve extender from your local sports store would fix this problem if it occurs, and it may be worth the hassle to have both schrader and presta adapters permanently affixed to the pump.

Definitely a good buy. Would highly recommend, and would definitely buy it again.

The pump didn't work when I took it out of the box the Shrader side of the valve leaked air out as fast as I could pump it in (using the Presta side of the head). The good news is I e-mailed Topeak and they immediately sent a replacement head. I swapped it out and was back in business. -1 for quality control, +1 for customer service.

After figuring out a couple of quirks of this pump, I am now satisfied with it. To me, it is a bit of a clumsy operation to get the head firmly seated on the valve and then flip over the lever to lock it down. The tendency is to bend the valve you really have to hold the head firmly while locking it down to make sure you don't damage the valve.

Also, you have to pump till the gauge shows WAY more than you want in the tire to overcome the seal of the Presta valve (yes, I do purge the valve after opening it). Once the valve pops, the pressure reading is accurate and you can start filling the tire. I'm sorta' new to Presta valves and don't know if this is common, but it was not a problem with either of my Topeak Road Morph pumps. (GREAT on-bike pump, by the way.) Hope this helps someone.

In 2005 I purchased a Topeak JoeBlow Sprint floor pump which I didn't use much in 2007. Anyhow, a couple of weeks ago it got so that it was unable to reach 120 psi without leaking. I went to the Topeak website and contacted the company. They sent a rebuild kit which consisted of a washer and a couple of springs. That did not do the trick. I wrote again (their website states that if you describe where the pump is leaking they will send the correct part). I did that, and today received a complete replacement of the gauge assembly. That has to be over 50% of the value of the pump. I installed it and the pump operates like new. So if you need a floor pump in the future, I recommend a Topeak JoeBlow.

Purchased this to replace a new Blacburn Tower 3 pump that I purchased that had a lousy valve design (stear clear of it!)....will be going back to the local bike store ASAP.

Topeak pump is very smooth...easy to attach/detach...easy to inflate...and very durable construction. I was worried from the picture about it's valve design, but the lever is metal and the whole thing works perfectly and very durable.

This pump works good, however I should have bought a higher model. For 700 tires where the air pressure is greater than 80psi, it would be better to have the pump that releases the air pressure in the pump before you remove the pump from the valve stem. With this pump, you could lose a measure amount of air just disconnecting the pump from the valve stem. On mountain bikes that take 30-40 psi, this pump is great.

Having said that, there isn't anything wrong with this pump and I use it every weekend before going on a ride to ensure my air pressure is correct.

I'm not sure if the tires I received are factory seconds. Before and after mounting they seemed to be a bit wavy (especially after inflating). Though the rims that I mounted them on are about as far from true as you can get and still ride, so that could be the issue as well. The tires are very durable, I've ridden over a ton of glass (college town) and only gotten a couple puncture flats. I've left the bike outdoors for a good year in pretty drastic conditions and the tires still look fine (no cracking/dry rot).

Wow, 1st time shopper with Niagara Cycle Works. Ordered new tires Wednesday and received them Thursday!!!! Granted they only had to go from Niagara Falls to Rochester, but that's what I call FAST shipping!

Installed the four new tires on both my wife's bike and my bike on Friday... They are GREAT! and paid WAY less than anywhere else I could find. Will shop at Niagara Cycle Works in the future for SURE!

This tire is not precision made and appears to wobble a bit. Also, the recommended maximum inflation is only 55 PSI. Talk about rolling resistance! At that pressure, I'm gasping. So, I over inflate to 60 PSI and haven't blown it out yet (after one season). But at the higher pressure it tends to skid when stopping quickly (it has almost a slick tread). I've had three flats with this one (all were tiny glass shards) in one season of casual city use. Very aggravating. This tire is not much on performance so I'm going to try another tire brand/model and send this one to the land fill. Another lovely product of China.

Honest reviews on Kenda Tire, 26 x 1-3/8 Black/Black Road K40

Every single bike shop sells tires for like 3times the amount. Some don't even sell these tires because they are being -phased out-.

These tires work perfect just coasting along the roads, I'm not a racer and I don't need the fastest best tires. They seem to hold up pretty well and should last me a couple years. The grip on the tires are awesome too as I like to take sharp turns, and with my old bike I'd fish tail and sometimes hazardly almost wipe out. With the new tire I maintain control and it really is worth the money. You can't get it any cheaper (trust me I looked) for just a regular tire.

I don't normally post negative reviews, but I have had a terrible experience with Smart-Trike's customer service. My daughter received a blue. green, and purple smart trike for her 1st birthday (the "purple" is actually dark blue). It was a gift that was ordered on-line and is not returnable. While the bike itself is fine and wasn't too difficult to assemble, the plastic basket that goes on the back of the bike was warped and discolored. I called the phone number provided by Smart-Trike on the instructions and found it was disconnected. So, two weeks ago, I contacted Smart-Trike's customer service through their website. Upon two requests, I e-mailed two sets of pictures of the damaged basket to Smart-Trike. I was initially told that since the basket wasn't cracked, it could not be replaced by the company. I argued that the discoloration and warping of the plastic was damage too. After asking for a working phone number or to have a manager contact me, Smart-Trike stopped replying to my e-mails for nearly a week. Smart-Trike finally responded that it would send me a new basket if I paid $15 for shipping, which I find outrageous. I suggest buying from a competitor. Little Tikes has similar bikes and a working 1-800 number.

Yes this inner tube fit the bill exactly on my vintage (1971) 3 speed, Huffy 26" boys bike. It is getting hard to find this 1-3/8" size anymore and I am grateful to Amazon for still having them and at a good price also.

Bought this tube locally at a national department store. I put this tube on my wheel. I DID partially inflate it, like you're supposed to, and work it around the rim adding air slowly to make sure the tube isn't pinching between the tire and rim. Pumped it up to only about 40 pounds and put the wheel back on the bike. 10 minutes later, the tube exploded inside the rim/tire. It blew out right along the seam. It didn't even have full riding pressure!

It's still in the package; so it hasn't been used yet. I'm guessing it'll be fine as a spare if I use it.
