Our daughter's always been tall & thin for her age. She received this ride-on just before she turned 1. She could take steps on her own but was not yet walking. She immediately loved this ride-on. She has enjoyed it for the last 2 years. She is currently 38 mo., 30 lbs., 38.5 inches tall. She still rides the bike with ease and enjoys it in the house. She pedals her Kettrike outside just fine and has done so for at least 8 months. THIS is a SUPER durable, cute, functional, fun, long-lasting ride-on with great value for the money. It turns with ease and rolls well over area rugs. We have found it goes fastest on hard floors, but is ok on carpet as well. FUN, FUN ride-on!

I bought this trike as a replacement after a plastic trike broke. My daughter LOVES it. It's really sturdy, well built, and fun. She is 2 now and has just as much fun riding it as she did when she was 1. Even my 5 year old rides it around the house and it holds her as well. It is so much better than the other "classic trike" they have with the high handle bars...that one tips over and falls apart. Get this one for sure. It's worth EVERY penny!

This was a gift from my inlaws for my 1 1/2 year old son at Christmas. We had bought a similar sized plastic trike made by another company for Christmas. My son rode both and ended up riding the Radio Flyer almost exclusively. The other trike sat there for a few months. Occassionaly, my son would get on the plastic one, ride for a few seconds, and then get on the Radio Flyer. I finally put the plastic trike in the closet. Once, when he was too rough on the trike, the little red retaining hub popped off and he couldn't ride it. I couldn't find the hub so I retrieved the plastic trike from the closet for him to use and began looking for the missing piece. After a week, I found the piece and reattached it with a good whack with a mallet. When I showed the repaired bike to my son he went over to the plastic one (he is now 2), grabbed the handle bars, said "Here," and got on the Radio Flyer. He loves to ride it around the house and on the back porch and side walk. The wheels roll more easily over a variety of surfaces, the seat is fairly comfortable, and it is very light weight. We love this product!

The Quality of the trike is excellent. How ever it is real small.

I bought this for my son how was 1 year old and loves it. I say it's small because he can barely ride it. His legs are always totally bent and he cannot make a descent stride due to rear wheels always hits the back of his shoe. It kinda looks like he's squating to ride. I only reccomend this product if your child is very small or you dont plan on using it for a long period (more than 6 months) due to size. This is a very excellent product just wish they would build one alot bigger. I hope your child will enjoy this as much as mine has. Thank you

This toy was a gift from my father for my son's first birthday and he could have cared less. At about 18 months, he started to pay good attention to the toy, and by 20 months, we have had to re-tighten the screws from all of the use! He glides down the hall and across the family room. The rubber wheels haven't left a mark on our hardwoods! The wood has cracked in under the handlebars, but doesn't seem to affect the over all performance. I say this thing would be better for 2 year olds and maybe just a few months before, but not a good 1st birthday gift.

I bought them 2 months ago, and I ride about 10KM per day (20 minutes per day). After two weeks, the fingers' shield of the left glove just fell...

After another two more weeks, the flexible strip on the back of the left glove, tore up as well.

The thing is that I just wear them for a routine home-to-work ride, which is eventless and very calm.

Bottom line i'm very disappointed, i had higher expectations from alpinestar equipment.

Pros: comfortable, well ventilated and nice looking! (specially the carbon fiber is quite cool). I've used it in a 260KM (161m) ride and it is really comfortable.

Cons: finger tips (more precisely the back of fingertips) is made of a fabric that will suffer if in contact with velcro! I imagine that with time it will probably tear, this is why I'm giving 3 stars. My motorcycle has saddlebags with velcro as also my leather jacket pockets. If you consider that this is not an 'el cheapo' glove from an unknown brand, it is certainly a huge flaw in the design.

I have big hands, but not enormous, and the X-Large was a tight fit (initially I assumed that 'Large' would be good enough but changed my mind in the last minute). The feeling of handlebar and throttle doesn't change sensibly using this gloves, which is a good thing.

It is *not* water proof, better suited for a sunny summer ride.

Bought these in June 2011 and one glove started to come apart at the seam under the end of my right palm. The gloves look really cool but I expect more durability from the pricey Alpine Stars. Actually this is the second set of AS gloves that have given me problems (the previous ones had huge internal seams that would press into your skin. I gave them away. I hope Alpine Stars step up their quality.

Good price and comfortable, but the material seems pretty thin, as if it wouldn't hold up to very much abrasion.

I'm not sure if the tires I received are factory seconds. Before and after mounting they seemed to be a bit wavy (especially after inflating). Though the rims that I mounted them on are about as far from true as you can get and still ride, so that could be the issue as well. The tires are very durable, I've ridden over a ton of glass (college town) and only gotten a couple puncture flats. I've left the bike outdoors for a good year in pretty drastic conditions and the tires still look fine (no cracking/dry rot).

Wow, 1st time shopper with Niagara Cycle Works. Ordered new tires Wednesday and received them Thursday!!!! Granted they only had to go from Niagara Falls to Rochester, but that's what I call FAST shipping!

Installed the four new tires on both my wife's bike and my bike on Friday... They are GREAT! and paid WAY less than anywhere else I could find. Will shop at Niagara Cycle Works in the future for SURE!

This tire is not precision made and appears to wobble a bit. Also, the recommended maximum inflation is only 55 PSI. Talk about rolling resistance! At that pressure, I'm gasping. So, I over inflate to 60 PSI and haven't blown it out yet (after one season). But at the higher pressure it tends to skid when stopping quickly (it has almost a slick tread). I've had three flats with this one (all were tiny glass shards) in one season of casual city use. Very aggravating. This tire is not much on performance so I'm going to try another tire brand/model and send this one to the land fill. Another lovely product of China.

Every single bike shop sells tires for like 3times the amount. Some don't even sell these tires because they are being -phased out-.

These tires work perfect just coasting along the roads, I'm not a racer and I don't need the fastest best tires. They seem to hold up pretty well and should last me a couple years. The grip on the tires are awesome too as I like to take sharp turns, and with my old bike I'd fish tail and sometimes hazardly almost wipe out. With the new tire I maintain control and it really is worth the money. You can't get it any cheaper (trust me I looked) for just a regular tire.

Well built and rolls smoothly. The problem is that it is smaller then I thought it would be. Because wheel base is so small, it tips forward very quickly when trying to roll over small cracks in sidewalk. My child has crashed by falling face first with the rear of the scooter coming up and pitching forward.

My almost 3 year old loves it.

I got it for my almost 3 year old since I saw lots of reviews on similar items and I like what it said about the safety and stability of this kind of scooters. But the price of the other once were much much higher. So I made an economical decision to buy this scooter which was about half the price, and I'm very happy I did, It is sturdy Stable

and rides quiet and smooth. It came fully assembled so no hassle what so ever.

When my Y BIKE was stolen from my driveway I was looking to replace it for a cheaper one or for a used one, I was just NOT ready to buy another Y scooter for around $80

Somehow this scooter popped up and I bought it as a new one even though I did not see any product review on it.

I was amazed when it arrived, beautiful packaging and after 2 weeks of daily use I can write with no hesitation that it is top quality. And the price is about half. This scooter with 2 wheels in the front & 1 in the rear is much more stable and safer than the 1 wheel in the front & 2 in the back.

My Daughter loves it and I recommend it.

I was looking at the mini kick scooters and noticed this one for like half the price. As I awaited the scooter, I was uneasy, worried I made a bad decision, and the scooter would be cheap. There were no reviews at the time and I had to just wait and see. When it arrived, I was extremely happy. It's identical to the mini kick. All my friends spent the $80 on the mini kick, and my 2 year old has the same thing, but for a much better deal. I see that the price has gone up, do I feel lucky to have purchased when I did. A very good decision indeed! This seller will sell a ton of these of they can lower the price a little again. Even to like $40-$45.

I've been a big fan of Velo Orange's blogs but have never purchased any of their gear. I bought this seat in the spring of 2011 for my touring bike (not my every day town'y bike) and so far it's been exceptional and I would suggest others consider purchasing it. The quality and feel is that of a Brooks however it offers a longer seat rail for even longer horizontal adjustments. Granted once you set your saddle you probably won't need to make many horizontal adjustments however for taller riders (I'm 6'1) this might be a better seat with more options. I've put about 250 miles on it so far and am now getting to the point were it's starting to break in. I purchased Neatsfoot oil and did an initial 30 minute dunk and have done one subsequent wipe down since. All in all the seat is comfortable, well constructed and is breaking in as I expected.

The Brooks B-17 that I've had on one of my bikes is a great saddle. The Velo Orange Mod 3 looks similar but, in my opinion, it's an improvement on the venerable B-17. Personally, I like the textured surface better than the smooth one my Brooks. I also feel the leather is a slight bit stiffer, and I like the longer rails. Another nice feature is that one tighten the sides of the saddle when they begin to flair. Sure, one only needs to punch some holes and get some leather straps, but it's nice that the makers of the Velo Orange Mod 3 saddle thought of these improvements. As much as I like by B-17, I know my next one, if the time ever comes, will be a Model 3. This is one great saddle.

Just to confirm some of the other reviews here, the seat looks very sharp, and seems very nicely made. The leather is heavy duty, and does seem thicker than my Brooks B-17. There are two "features" that it has that do not exist on the Brooks. The first is a plastic lining underneath the seat, and the second is a strap that connects the two edges about where the seat flares out. I'm not sure what effect either of these will have; I'll just have to see over time. I am really curious as to how long it will take to break this beast in, but initially, the seat looks like an improvement of the legendary Brooks B-17 (currently my favorite seat ever).
