This is the third CurrieTech bike that we've purchased in 3 year. All three have performed beyond our expectations. They are really well made. We use the electric bikes because with can just throttle back a little and it results in a lot less pressure on the joints, but it still allows us to get a workout. My wife just loves the Tricrusier. It provides a lot of stability and allows her to look around while she peddles. She does a lot of looking. We purchased another electric bike for a different manufacturer, and it's okay, but the CurrieTech bikes seem more well built. The only issue we had with this bike is that one wheel came with a flat. We're not sure how this happened, but my guess is that the tube may have been pinched while being installed. It took 10 minutes to fix. I called CurrieTech and spoke to a customer rep, and they still sent along a free new tube. They have great support.

For it's price I cannot complain yet that's not to say it's a bad tyre. I run a set, SR740/741 on my GS500 at 34/38 PSI. The last lasted for about 8.5K miles, in the wet they are confident and slippery when pushed hard in corners on hot days; overall, I can't fault the tyres' short comings as I do run it at higher pressures for commuting. Additionally the warm up time may be incredibly slow miles on cold days. I'll buy a Shinko again and I'll buy the same for the rest of ownership. I don't race, I commute and I ride about 10K miles a year.

I ride a 2006 Harley Street Bob and put about 10000 miles a years on my bike. I use Shinko tires on the front and back and I love these tires!! I am getting over 20000 on the front and average 10 11K on the rear tires. Dry or Rain these are more stable and have better traction than the stock Harley Dunlops.

Excellent product for the price I purchased it for!

As another reviewer mention it does need proper weight distribution to stay in place.

For this price range you can't really complain about it due to the fact it cost half the price as a more expensive repair stand!

I recommend only getting this if your bike has horizontal top bar frame for better weight distribution.

I use this stand for the majority of my newbie repairs, or when I have to store it temporarily without the wheels present.

The stand is excellent for storage and the plastic is of really good quality, it should last you quite awhile if you don't use it for business.

For people on a budget new to bicycle repairs; I absolutely recommend this stand! The stand is of good quality, and with prime shipping you can't go wrong! :)

We have 4 bikes and I decided it was time to get a bike repair stand without spending $200. I must say for $49 this stand is worth the money. Easy to install and works great. The only complaint I have is that some of the recessed nuts were a little too deep and pulled out as I was tightening them, easy fix, I put a small washer then the nut and that was that. I like the feature of the center tube comes off the base easily. This way I can store the bike stand for the winter in my shop without it taking up any room.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son who is constantly working on my grandson's BMX bicycles. When I went to watch him race and saw the repair stands for sale there, I got a little nervous as they were all priced at around $200 and up. Bought this hoping that it would sufficiently hold up my Specialized Camber 29er but I unfortunately realized what so many others have. While this stand is very well built, the plastic parts are too soft and cannot support the weight of a bike unless it's positioned at the 50/50 weight distribution point. Most FSR bikes need to be held at the seat post making this an ineffective option. I was able to drill and bolt the bracket in order to keep it from twisting from the uneven weight and it seems to be holding well for now but it seems like it will only be a matter of time before the plastic parts fail. This is unfortunate as if this were a simple bast part, the stand would be perfect!

Upgraded the cockpit and drivetrain on a second-hand Specialized Stumpjumper Comp that I use for single track and trail riding. Paired this X.9 front derailleur with an SRAM X.0 indexed trigger shifter. Easy installation and adjustment, though the high clamp competes for space with the down tube bottle cage mount. Shifting has been smoother and more precise than the stock mid-level Deore component.

I have 5 hours of my own time invested in trying to adjust this derailleur. I have taken my bike two TWO different shops and they both were unable to get this derailleur working properly. In the mean time, my 30 day return has expired. Buy something else.

Review of Vittoria Zaffiro Pro II Fold Tire

I have used different road bike tires in the past such as the Michellin series, Continental ultra-race, CST comps, Kendas (they all perform very poorly) and any size piece of broken glass particle will puncture them all easily and will destroy your inner tube. These tires are nothing when compared to the Vittoria Zaffiro Pro 2 tires. Vittoria Zaff Pro 2s' are "single shielded wire-bead" and can withstand glass on the road quite well even after the tread is worn. I tested this out over the course of my first 300 miles of biking around the city, running over glass everywhere & it held out without any flats. Objects this tire CANNOT withstand are sharp metal debris such as (bolts, needles, large staples, etc..) or notorious goat-head thorns (it punctured through my new rear tire and new tube(at the wire bead -strongest area) on my second day of riding. I haven't tested rose thorns yet but I'm a little discouraged to do so b/c of the early puncture... A notable feature on the Zaff Pro IIs are dimples on the edges of the tires (used for rain conditions) but also in dry conditions, these do grip the concrete road very very well. I'll update this review again soon if I happen to come across anymore punctures.

By the way, you shouldn't pay more than 30 bucks per tire + tax. I had my pair for about 50 bucks shipped.

If you have the money and want even better tires, buy the Vittoria Randonneurs (double-shielded something material ) or the famous Continental Gatorskins (kevlar belt!)...these two tires are beast and many people on bike forums swear by them. Both are more expensive than Zaffiro Pro IIs & both perform similarly. Randos go for about 28 33 bucks per tire and Gatorskins ranges around similar or higher than Randos.

If you don't have the money get the 2nd best -Vittoria Zaffiro Pro II!!

The price/performance ratio seemed great for the first six months or so, and then I truly learned the limitations of inexpensive 23c road tires. I rode them daily on the road and didn't have a single puncture, until I hit some gravel. My training route hit a gravel section at the top of a climb, and three consecutive mornings I had punctures on the gravel... the last one taking a huge chunk out of the contact surface of the front tire. I patched the inside of the tire (and the tube) and made it home, but retired them after that. I was concerned that when I first got them they looked to be delaminating after about a week of riding, but they held up just fine until the gravel. So if you are riding road only, these will probably suit you fine as an inexpensive, relatively puncture resistant tire, but know their limitations!

This tire was very simple to Install with a tire lever. I had no trouble at all getting these on the rim. These replaced old 700x28 tires on a road bike that I hadn't been used in a few years. I have about 100 miles on these so far and no flats or issues. I'm not a serious rider who puts in many miles every week on this thing, but so far these have been riding smooth on both dry and wet and seem to be a great replacement for my low-end bike which I use for fun to cruise as a change of pace from using a hybrid.

First go to Mechanix website and print off the size chart and buy the right size. I have been buying too big of gloves for too long because I thought I had manly large hands...well I only have medium manly hands. I didn't believe the chart so went to a home store tried on the Mechanix gloves in medium and they fit 100 x better than the large.

I bought the Camo, all black (stealth) and the coyote of these Mechanix gloves so I can be tacticool!

I use them at the shooting range, I use them on cold days as driving gloves. None of the home stores around had the 3 tacticool colors, plus they are cheaper on amazon.com.

Now only if they made a pair in multi-cam so when the zombies come at me, they think to themselves...man that guy is all geared out and really cool looking. Then I place one between their eyes due to my awesome weapon control because I am wearing these cool gloves. Plus these gloves will keep your hands clean so when you rescue that hotty from being eaten you can take your gloves off and shake her hand and not worry about giving her cooties.

These gloves are so good I had to buy a second pair! I bought the camo pair for hunting. I typically am not a glove wearer during deer rifle season in Pennsylvania or during late season muzzle loader due to the bulkiness of most gloves. These, although not insulated, will be great to keep in my pockets for those particularly bitter mountain mornings. They do not obstruct trigger pull and you can feel the trigger.

These gloves are good for most kinds of work, but I wouldnt use them for omplete hand and finger protection. Inside the gloves there is a little fabric that runs horizontally on your finger tips. Its slightly annoying but nothing to not buy them over.solid pair of gloves.

I got these for my boyfriend and he really loves them. He usually hates wearing gloves, but he works for periods of time outside and MI winters can get ugly. I got these with silk liners for some extra warmth if necessary, and he wears the liners sometimes but doesn't always need them. He likes that the he still can use a pen or pick things up with these gloves on and it doesn't interfere with his dexterity. I'm just happy to have found gloves he will actually wear!! Highly recommend these.

The Nirve Forty-Nine is a splendid cruiser. Gearing is just perfect, this bike is very well constructed. I learned when purchasing that there are actually two models available, one with the front hand brake and coaster brake the other (less expensive) model with just the coaster brake (pedal). I highly recomend paying a little more and getting the hand brake. Overall I feel this bike is an excellent value for the money spent. If you are into classic styled cruisers this is a bike for you!

only 4 stars as the bike only has 3 speeds. Once you go 15 miles per hour, it is hard to pedal. 5 or 7 would be ideal. the pair of pedals that came with the bike absolutely sucked they are falling apart and have to buy a new pair.
