Cyco Cycle 20-Inch Cycle Review

This is the second Cyco Cycle I've purchased for my kids and I am so happy with them. I bought the first one for my 12 year old son in May when he first saw it on TV and had to have one. At first I thought they looked kind of silly and maybe dangerous but finally gave in after he insisted on one for his birthday.

He was so excited when it arrived 2 days later and with the help of his father, they put it together in about 10 min. The Cyco Cycle is soooo much easier to ride than I thought. He immediately started riding it around and could steer without using any hands, I was so impressed! The Cyco Cycle can tip over if you turn too quickly but without any handlebars in the way it is very easy to just step off before falling. Right away everyone wanted to try it out. Both my husband and I even found it easy to ride as our whole family had a blast taking turns. Our 9 year old younger son absolutely loved it also and it instantly became a fight between the two brothers over who could ride it.

So now after a couple of months waiting, we finally bought our second Cyco Cycle for the younger ones birthday and he couldn't be more proud and excited. That first one really took a beating as they rode it and fought over it every day! With the exception of having to re-adjust the seat occassionally when it became crooked, the Cyco Cycle is very durable and easy to maintain. They are built really heavy duty and I can tell they are going to last for years. There are now 7 Cyco Cycles in our neighborhood and we were the first ones to own one. It makes us the "cool family"!

I has been amazing to watch our boys and all of their friends have so much fun as they challenge each other to ride the Cyco Cycle in all sorts of ways. This really is the coolest, most innovative new contraption, (what ever it is), to come out in years. This has been the best purchase we've made for our boys and I would gladly give it 6 stars if I could!!!

Got this for my son (13 y/o) 3 or 4 months ago. Seems like he and his friends are out riding it every time someone comes over. They've tried their best to thrash the thing but it's still holding up strong. It's basically a 3-wheel unicycle made out of BMX bike components. The seat looks pretty scratched up but the frame wheels pedals are all straight and in good condition. Don't know about the paint cause he covered it with stickers. Would recommend for anyone with rowdy kids who need to work off some excess energy! Anyways seems a well made product for $99 bucks.

The Cyco Cycle is incredibly fun. It gives you a sense of freedom that is hard to describe. It is well built but be sure to tighten all of the bolts that are already in place once you take it out of the packaging. They are all very loose. Otherwise it was easy to put together and is so heavy duty that I think it's going to last for years.

I'm going to buy another one so I can keep up with my kids!

Crank puller was the right price and did the job. If you are not going to be pulling the cranks off on a regular basis, this is your tool. My crank was never pulled for 20+ years and this tool was able to help pull the crank.

The spanner wrench that came with it is almost useless. It can serve as a way to bring the puller thread in, but it won't pull the crank once you've hit it, and its a bad idea to try to, you will just hurt your hand and bend the spanner. It will require a large adjustable wrench.

However they are cheap and this I expected. Even with those I would have still given this about 4 stars if not for one caveat the metal is not very tough at all, and the bolt begins to bend inside the socket and it starts driving in crooked. I've removed numerous cranks with Park Tools CCP series and never had one of them fail me this way. Just get a park tool one, or, any other one really.

The crank socket on this Puller is 14mm. It's very durable and heavy.

Only con is the bar it comes with. It's pretty thin and small, so it's painful to use, IF you can even use it. However, the description didn't state that it even came with it, so I didn't expect it to come.

Very good buy in my opinion.

I have owned Park chain cleaners for nearly twenty years. The Finish Line cleaner works much better. The brushes get inside the chain links to clean the grunge out of the centers. Perfect.

I bought this cleaner over the Park based upon reviews. Don't know about the Park but the Finish Line chain cleaner works great. It's a little hard to hold steady with one hand and run the crank but I think that's the case with all these cleaners. But it does what it is supposed to, clean the chain. I was amazed at how many metal particles were trapped by the magnet. Bottom line, does a great job of cleaning the chain with no mess.

I base a lot of my purchase decisions on the reviews other people give of products, so I chose this cleaner over the Park Tool CM-5 Cyclone Chain Cleaner because there were a few reviews that said after dropping the Park cleaner only once they cracked and were unusable. I don't have both so I can't compare them, but I am very happy with this cleaner and it does a great job of getting the chain clean. I use it along with the Pedros Oranj Peelz Cleaner and it's amazing how clean the chain gets. After that I apply the Dumonde Tech Lite bicycle chain lubrication 2oz and I'm good to go. The lube is supposed to leave some sort of 'plate' on the chain so I am going to try to clean it the next time with just water and reapply the lube per the directions and see how that works.

Ok, maybe not chrome, but shiny steel for sure. I used this on a chain that has seen a lot of dirt trails, and thus it was covered with old, hardened, caked-on grime. It took a few tries to get it going (chain kept falling off, but I was having some derailleur alignment issues at the time), but once it did, the chain got very clean with not much effort.

I used some cheap engine degreaser and I had to replace it with new degreaser half way through this process, due to the length of time I went without really cleaning my chain. You will definitely want to put a bunch of newspaper or something under your bike to protect your floor, as there will be some dirty drippings. I then used a shop rag to get the last of the degreaser off the chain.

Also, its a good idea to clean your sprockets, particularly the rear cassette, which was caked as well. My method for that is using a putty knife with a shop rag wrapped around it and I put some degreaser on that. Then I simply slide it in between the sprockets and spin the rear wheel. I was amazed at the amount of crud that came out of there!

After reading the reviews on the Park cleaner I decided to go with this one and have not been disappointed. As someone already mentioned, it take a couple of tries to figure out the best way to hold it with one hand and turn the crank with another but read the instructions and you should do fine. Amazing how much dirt there is on a bike chain after just one ride.

Cheap Michelin Aircomp Butyl Ultralight Tube - Road

Well, I do like Michilin products and they have worked well for me. I do use these on my road bike and they seem to work fine. I have had one legitimate flat on these (splinter on road went through tire and straight into tube) and have also cause flats on these by man-handling the presta valve when filling tires in a hurry. If you are not so careless, these are really good tubes, otherwise, get the cheaper, heavier (not by very much to the average guy), more sturdy Michilin AirStop tubes.

After several months of searching for the perfect electric assist trike, I found it. The worksman Port-o-Trike is a wonderful trike. It is well built, beautiful to look at, and the electric part of it is fantastic. Having had my right leg amputated from the knee down a number of months ago,this trike has giving me tremendous freedom and the joy of cycling out doors again. Using the throttle at slow speed, I can cycle with my legs getting all the exercise I need. When the trike first arrived, I had a problem with connecting the charger. I called the customer service at Port-o-Trike, and they immediately resolved it. They were very friendly and answered all my question and concerns. They told me to trust the motor, and now I do. I've taken the trike on a fourteen mile trip so far with no problems what so ever. Recently I found a 'trike rack' for my element, and my wife and I are now looking forward in exploring the wonderful parks of Florida. I wish to thank those who designed such a wonderful machine.

Bought this for my elderly Dad, he loves it. The quality is nice; it's made from good steel components, not a lightweight racing bike and not the crappy imported stuff we see too much of. Very stout and sturdy. The motor provides a LOT of power, and my Dad was pleased to find that ordinary pedaling is very easy as well.

Assembly was simple and easy with basic tools and common sense.

Only negative would be the documentation; a few poorly photocopied sheets, and one manual for the motor was missing entirely so I had to get the .pdf from the manufacturer's website.

The Worksman Electric Tricycle is very enjoyable. One feature that it needs, however, is a brake to lock the tricycle in place while getting on and off of it. On flat roads, it is not a problem, but if you are on a slight incline, etc. it can be difficult, or even dangerous. I had to change the seat. It was not comfortable at all for rides more than twenty minutes or so. Overall, it is good.

I love my electric trike. I love riding it around the campgrounds with the grandchildren. It allows me to remain active. The front brake is a little less than I would have expected. It would be nice if the battery and controller box were located somewhere else, freeing the rear basket up to use for other things. The size is very comfortable and compact. I would recommend this trike.

There were several screws and allen wrenches missing, not a big deal. What was a big deal was no pictures or specific instructions to assemble all the parts. With some trial and error we got a working tricycle. Hope it holds up with our guesswork.

Review of SRAM Shifter X-9 Trigger

I bought these in hopes of improving shifting accuracy, and reducing lever effort as compared to the X-7's that came stock on my bike. I do believe that they require slightly less effort to shift, say about 10-15%, but that might also be my wishful thinking. As to the shifting accuracy, I would say less of an improvement, but still a slight improvement. Was it worth the ~$100 shelled out, and the time it took to install and dial them in (about 1 hour for both). I am undecided on that. As and upgrade to the X-7 it is very slight, and probably not worth it, but they are a good shifter, and if I was doing a build I would chose the 9's over the 7's, as the price difference is minimal.

Never had any issues w/ Sram X.9 shifters. Great feel and quick shifts at a decent price. Would recommend to anybody.
