After looking and looking online, we bought this bike for our daughter's birthday. I was really excited about the huge discount. My husband is extremely good at putting things together, however, the instructions sent with the bike did not match the model we purchased. Pieces on the bike were bent, the Allen key was missing, and several nuts and bolts were loose in the box not sure what/where they go. To sum things up, absolutely not happy with this purchase would not recommend.

This was a present for my 6 year old who is very tall. The bike is sturdy, albeit a little heavy to my liking. Construction is nice as I would expect from a cruzer. I do have some complaints: first the seat and seat post are not my favorite. They have a tendency to twist and slip even after some serious tightening. Second: very minor but the decals are misplaced. It's like the machine or person just slapped them on and they are crooked (minor point in know but just lack attention to detail).

Overall, my daughter loves it. It was a great price but in the future I will have to consider a new seat to replace the inferior one that it comes with.

The bike came with several deep scratches in each part of the frame. There were long scratches in the green parts of both wheels and the white part as well. Also the seat was scuffed as if this bike had been used. It was supposed to be new and I checked before buying as this was a Christmas gift from Santa. It was hard to explain.

Honest reviews on Dynacraft Girl's Magna Carolina Cruiser Bike (Green/Pink, 20-Inch)

My 9-yr-old daughter received this for Christmas 2012. As of writing, 09/29/13, the bike has served her well and is still in good condition with almost daily use.

The bike isn't exactly a cruiser. While it does have cruiser handlebars, fenders and a comfort seat, it still has the look and feel of a BMX bike. It looks very awkward when she is riding it due to that. The handlebars actually make it pretty difficult to make a sharp turn because she loses reach with her forward grip. It would be a simple fix to switch to BMX handlebars, but she says she doesn't mind, so they'll stay on there.

I spend time every other weekend maintaining the family's bikes. This certainly helps to keep them riding safe. With proper maintenance it should easily last until it's time to move up to a 24" bike. Just don't spend too much on it. IMO it's a $65 bicycle.

My daughter loves her bike.. the colors however are aren't exceptional. It looks like they messed up when spray painting it. I got it at a clearance price, but would not pay full price for it.

I did a lot of research on scooters before purchasing this on for my newly three year old. She wanted a scooter very much, so that she could be just like her 11 year old big sister. The problem was stability; most scooters either have two wheels (one in front, one in back) or three wheels (with TWO in back). Even with two in back, the scooters tend to wobble and tip. Not a good thing for a young rider.

Radio Flyer (of course!) solved the problem beautifully. They put the two wheels in front and gave the scooter a much wider base. The result is that this scooter is incredibly strong, stable, and safer than the competition. It comes fully assembled, and my young one was riding around on our back deck in a matter of moments.

This pink version is perfect for our little princess. And I can already tell, she is going to spend the summer chasing her big sister around the neighborhood. Luckily, big sister is okay with that!

We bought this for our 4 year old last Christmas. She loves to goof off on it around the house. But will not ride it the full block, much less to the park. It does not roll or turn as easily as she would like. (By contrast, she flies on her bike.)

Probably great for 2 or 3 year old beginners. Decent stability in that regard. But we're not impressed for the 4 to 5 year old set.

My daughter is turning 3 in a couple of weeks and wants a scooter for her birthday. I was looking for a sturdy, 3 year old safe, girly scooter. I found this one and have read so many good reviews about it. We tried it out at Walmart and it is awesome. Very cute and sturdy and she loved it. It's in hiding until her birthday.

FYI I was baffled by the range in sticker price for the toy. I have seen prices from $29-$69 for this scooter. I bought a pink scooter at Walmart for $29.84. It took 3 Walmarts but I found one just today. Happy scooting!

My little one was nearly 3 when we bought this for her. She had to pump and pump but it does not glide. It is not designed to, I don't think. The kids don't really get to learn how to ride a scooter with this model because it really doesn't move except for when they're pumping it. Wasn't fun for her just frustrating. She's now nearly 4 and we just donated it because she didn't use it. :(

My daughter got this scooter for her second birthday. And while I was concerned she might be a little young for it she surprised us! She had the general idea about how to work it but needed some help. We'd put her on it and push it around (now almost a year later she can do it herself!).

The pros...its pink it folds up so small that we can stick it on a shelf and it doesn't tip over like some of the other models we've seen.

The con...it only holds up to 50 pounds. And while that is a good weight limit for the kids...the parents cannot show them how to use it properly...my Dad was trying to play with my daughter and was fooling around with it and almost broke it. Definitely not for grandpa's but works well for little kids!

I like to run a couple miles with my little one and having an enclosed area really helps. The enclosed area also helps to keep any toys that drop away from ground.

The ride is pretty smooth and the area in back is sufficient for anything I may need to bring along.

A couple of not so perfect things: slight odor for the first month; wished there is more head room, meaning from the top of my son's head to the ceiling. Right now it is about 3 inches when he sits straight. His height is in the 15%, so taller kids may not fit in. Given how well this is built, I really hope it could last a few years.

Here are the good parts:

Assembly is easy. You definitely need an air pump to inflate the wheels. Fortunately, I have a pump set for my son's soccer ball, bought from local ToysRUs, which does the work.

it is warm. After sitting in it for 20 minutes when outside temperate is in the 40s, my son does not feel cold at all.

it is very well built. It goes through doors easily. I heard the two seater model might be too wide for the apartment doors. This single seater is perfect in this regard.

Again, I hope it could be a little taller inside so that it could be used for a longer time down the road.

This is a great rack!. I purchased this rack for a Kent tandem bike and am not disappointed. When you purchase an inexpensive (cheap) tandem, sometimes it's hard to add-on something that costs about 1/10th the price of the whole bike, but I will get over it! The rack is very nicely made, lightweight, has good welds and fit quite nicely. It also has "nibs" to hold a bike pump (not sure I saw anything that indicated this in the product description. The reflector is massive (can't be too safe)!

I will say, however, before I ordered the rack I read several reviews and found I would need a Sunlite Monostay, since the Kent tandem doesn't have any braze-ons to handle the front attachment points. That being said, the instructions indicate if you don't have the attachment braze-ons, you can email support and they will send you some additional clamps that will clamp around the seat stay. I'll probably do this to see exactly what you get. It would have been nice to know this up front. However, it all worked perfectly and is a great add-on.

I will see if I can add some photos because, as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words."

Check out my photos (7). Guess that's worth 7,000 words!

And it's aluminum ... what more could you ask for? Lightweight but sturdy construction. I purchased the pop off rear bike basket as well and it fits nicely on this rack. Reflector is a nice touch also.

I really like the rack. The problem i have is the arm lenght that connects to the fame under the seat. If your frame is at higher angle the arms are way too long. The pictures show a bicycle that need very long arms. If you have a commuter where its very close at the top where the platform of the rack will sit you will need different arm lenghts. Plus I tried to contact the seller to maybe get different arm lenghts but I havent heard back. Its bad when you cant get ahold of anyone to fix something seemly simple.

It took me 20min to put on, it came with all the screws and fixtures. I have to cut two screws short to fit my bike. I recommended it.

Good solid rack, easy to mount, like having the reflector already on. I bought this rack because I commute to work on my bike with bags attached and this keeps the bags from hitting the spokes.

It took little time setting it up since tools are not included. Once it was assembled, it was very good.

The instructions were not the best because they send the same ones for multiple bike models. My son liked the bike and is learning how to ride despite my poor assembly skills LOL.

I have opened the "locked" skewer in about 5 seconds. Will not post how, but will contact manufacturer their idea is brilliant, implementation is sloppy.

Update: the original method (already public) involved a magnet; there are two more, one requiring regular pliers, another requiring no tools at all. 1) don't bother unlocking the lever, just twist off the opposing side lug; you'll need pliers for that, but the lug is conveniently ribbed to give pliers a good purchase; design needs the keyed washer just like the "lever" side to be secure, but it doesn't have one. 2) ... and this is a real caper: just turn the "locked" lever counterclockwise. Will require some force, but not too much, no tools needed. It is not supposed to give, but it will the design has a keyed washer which supposedly prevents it from turning if closed, however the "seat" of the lever appears to be a two-piece plastic, and the outer ring simply spins if nudged hard enough...

Another important distinction between Zefal and something like Pinhead, which uses keyed lugs is purely psychological: first and foremost, Zefal looks like it *can* be opened, there is just enough stuff sticking out that can be turned, twisted, levered and so on; Pinhead, on the other hand, kills any motivation to tamper with itself: you cast one look at it, and you know you are not going to able to do anything with it...

Update: in about 6 months of use in NY, the skewers are so far provided enough of a deterrent. I do see the aftermath of attempts to open them (somewhat bent levers) but so far no thief came up with anything more inventive than just pulling very, very hard..and that doesn't work with Zefal. I have used another skewer for a while, with keyed lugs, but in the end, it was just a nuisance: the key is chunky, carrying it at all times is impractical, and who would remember to pack it on a long ride? in the end, you just sit roadside looking hopelessly at a flat tire that you can not change since you can't take the wheel off... I switched back to Zefal, and bought couple more sets for other bikes. The lock is not nearly as secure as,say, Pinhead, but it is much, much more convenient...

In the end, the conclusion is that this is a maddening product: they did 90% of the work just perfect, and couldn't iron out the remaining 10%...

Fantastic product! Now we can have the convenience of a quick release skewer for changing flats and the security of locking our wheels. I originally purchased this kit for the bike I built up for my wife since she hated taking off the front wheel. After jealously watching her locking up her bike in half the time as me I converted and I now have them on my bike. My only complaint is that the seat post lock is designed for larger diameter aluminum frames. I have a smaller diameter seat tube on my steel frame and it doesn't fit.

Cheers,

Logan

I bought a set of Zefal locking wheel skewers to try. I thought these locks sounded like a clever idea. They work using simple gravity; the locks will not open unless the bike is turned upside down. Unfortunately, when I tested the locks, I could open the Zefal in seconds using my regular home pliers. In total, maybe 15 seconds. Sorry, but you're not going to protect my wheels.

Honest reviews on Zefal Locking Bicycle Hub Skewer (3-Piece Front/Rear/Seatpost)

These are AMAZING! So cool to have, super inexpensive for what they do, and they actually work (With some pretty frustrating installation, checking, and re-checking time). However, the benefit is great! I wasn't able to install the seat skewer, and I ended up taking it into a bike shop. He had to change the girdle, and even then it took a really long time. All-in-all, something I'd recommend to others!

I just bought these and already, after 3 times of opening and closing, the seat post locking skewer no longer works. Now the rear wheel skewer has trouble opening and latching and the metal has already smashed down. I have never had such bad luck with skewers and these have given me the worst luck so far.
