This product is exactly as described. A very fine product, easy to install if you have any mechanical ability at all. However if you're going to install this on a cruiser you'll need a longer shifter cable. The one supplied is 5 feet which is too short for most cruisers. Order the longer cable on line when you buy the wheel and you will save money. Local bike shops tend to rip you good on cables.

I rec'd this conversion kit for my single speed Schwinn cruiser within only a few day's of ordering. It was packaged well with no damage and all of the pieces needed, instructions, etc.. were included. Prior to ordering this kit however I had called our local bike shop to ask in case we couldn't install this kit would they be able too and what the cost would be. They informed me yes they could install it and for only $30(labor fee). After having the kit laying around at home for 2 weeks I decided to take it to the bike shop. In about a 1/2 hour they had it installed, balanced and ready to ride. This conversion kit has made riding my single speed cruiser so much more enjoyable and easy! I would highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to upgrade their bike, the price here was the best I found anywhere by far at least $30-50 less including shipping.

I ordered this to turn my fifty-year (plus) old Schwinn tandem into a three speed. Like one of the other guys in the review list I had to put the shifter on the back handlebars but it really works great. It has put new life into a bike that was being relegated to the ceiling hooks. Perfect inner tubes for my Stella 4T scooter at a great price. These were 3 times more expensive from one of those online scooter shops. It pays to Check Amazon! The tubes are a perfect replacement for the OEM tubes on your Stella 4T, probably better. I paired mine with the Shinko SR550 Whitewall Tire. Ordered 2, tubes, installed them, then decided to order 2 more as spares. If the insides of your split rims are rusting and flaking sand them down and repain't them, that's what caused my puncture in the first place. Will order these again from amazon in the future.

I bought this out of nostalgia having had a Big Wheel as a child. Do not let the name fool you: this product in no way resembles the "original" in quality or function. Lets start with the assembly instructions or lack there of. Basically all you get is a schematic drawing with numbered steps. There are no written instructions. I am quite handy at do-it-yourself assembly and I struggled for 2 hours to put this thing together. It was too late last night for my son to try it out by the time I got it together so the first test drive was this morning before preschool. This is where the real disappointment comes in. The hand brake does not disengage, which may be too technical of a term for this flimsy braking mechanism. It rubs on the tire continuously. Adjustments are not possible. Compounding that problem is the fact that every tiny pebble on the sidewalk gets lodged between the brake and the tire making it impossible for the child to pedal the bike. My 5 year old announced this morning that hes was "indignified" by this frustrating test drive and stated "this isn't a very good Big Wheel. I like the one at Toys R Us better." From the mouths of babes. Going back to Toys R Us and buying the one I should have bought in the first place the one Radio Flyer makes. It may not have a hand brake and may not be nostalgic but at least the kid could ride that one. As for this one: right back in the box it goes and I'm returning it.

got this for my sons BIG Christmas present. put it together Christmas eve and the rod that connects the tires was too short. thanks to ACE hardware we solved the problem BUT there should have never been as issue. also this is extremely light weight cheap plastic.....not like when we were kids.

I put it together in less than an hour. No major problems. The hardest part was getting the rear axle through both axle holes. A little elbow grease and patience were needed, but it's nothing your typical mom (like me) can't handle.

My 5yo son LOVES it! And he loves the box, too!

Spin-out brake works great! The faster you go, the cooler the spin-out.

If needed later, you can order any Original Big Wheel part from their website. I won't post it out of respect for Amazon.com, but they don't sell directly from their site, anyway. Google it.

This thing is so cool I wish I could ride it, like I did back in the early 80's. The sound of the wheels cruising on the sidewalk brings back so many fond memories...

I'm pleased with this purchase in every way, and my son is, as well. Buy one!

I bought 2 of these without reading the reviews. We get our grand-kids for only a few days a year for there birth day. we bout two of these for them and feel totally ripped off! the axle that says 21" was only 19 and one of the bikes came with only one rear wheel!! the manufacturer refused to overnight us a rear wheel so the kids will be long gone before it gets here!! Biggest waste of 200.00 dollars I have ever spent! please do yourself a favor and move on these bikes suck!

I bought 2 of these for my niece and nephew, and they absolutely love it! Assembly didn't take that long. Make sure you put the rods through the bike before screwing the parts together to make assembly easier.

The color of the bike is just a little different than the picture displayed. The red base, wheels, and yellow handle bars are the same as in the picture; however, the seat and foot pedals are yellow, and both the hand brake and attachment from the base to the large wheel in the front are blue (opposite of what you see in the picture). If you look at the picture on the box (refer to 2nd image posted), they show 2 different color brakes (yellow on one bike and red on the other), so I assume the colors can vary aside from the red base and the yellow handle bars. Overall, the bike looks great, and the kids love riding it!

It does its job so reliably that I would stake my life on it's ability to keep the axle from turning against the planetary gear system it is designed to stabilize. The color choice was genius. Green screams left-vertical dropout! I splurged and purchased the matching right vertical dropout washer in blue and I am not sorry. There are a few times in life when one knows for absolutely sure, beyond any doubt, that a decision was crystal-clear, spot-on, the best and most appropriate and fulfilling choice. This non turn washer is the epitome of just such a moment.

I wouldn't suggest these tires for indoor wheelchair usage at all. The tires leave black tracks wherever they run over. They have destroyed 2 of my throw rugs and I have to have a carpet cleaner come in to clean my carpets. The quality is fine, but for outdoor use only.

I read a review where the reviewer stated the tires leave a black mark on your carpet. I have not had any such problem with the tires. The tires are rugged and provide a lot of traction for my sons wheel chair. They are much better than the tires that came with the wheel chair and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of wheelchair tires. For the price, you can't beat it. The next time we need tires, I will surely look for these.

These tires are great. The tires are sold as a single item (not a pair) to clear up any confusion. I ordered 2 just in case. The tires I got are a light gray color as oppose to the darker gray shown in the picture. I do not have any black marks left behind as someone else said. They feel great, I had bald tires before and I could tell a difference the moment I sat in the chair from putting the new ones on. They might be better quality than my old ones. Love them!!

Thinking about ordering a couple extras for down the road.

I'd definitely recommend these to someone else.

This bike was actually my daughter's and it hung in the garage for 20 years. It was brand new. I decided to start to ride it this year. The bike is grey with pink and these tires match it perfectly. Skinny tires and I have not always seen eye to eye. But I haven't fallen off yet. Great tires!
