Best Sunlite Bicycle Tube, 700 x 18-23 (27 x 1) 48mm PRESTA Valve Deals

The tube, much to my surprise, is labelled the same as the old tube which came on my bike, KENDA, made in China. This is embossed near the stem, across from the stem is the Sunlite label in white. That doesn't bother me really, it's just a bit misleading, as this tube can't be too different from other tubes sold as Kenda's.

However, the valve core is removable which was not advertised, and that removable core is leaking air. I imagine once I replace the core it will hold up just as well as any other tube, this is just a disappointing amount of difficulty for what is usually a simple job.

Bought two of these and both failed in less than a week. These are very low quality Chinese made innertubes.

I installed a new tube, inflated the tube to 70 PSI and got on my bike. It was sagging a little so I inflated it to 80. I pulled the pump off the valve and BOOM out flies the valve of the tube. I could have put an eye out with that thing. From my experience, these tubes are worthless. Buy something else.

Pros:

1) 48 mm stem length allows ease to hold stem with fingers

while mounting and dismounting a pump so as to avoid breaking

the tubes presta head.

2) Sturdy tube wears well on road bicycles.

3) Smooth stem (rather than threaded) remains clean.

Cons:

1) Should be more widely available, it's a good tube.

I have about 400 miles on this tube and it is performing as expected, construction seems pretty good, somewhat thinner and lighter rubber compared to the Kenda tubes I was using. I have high end road bikes and pressurize to 115 psi usually. It's very important with these tubes to keep the valve stem straight/centered and if the tube comes with a knurled nut I wouldn't use it, if you tighten it too much it will rip the valve stem base. Fill and deflate new tubes 3 times to get them situated in the tire.

Having a mountain bike with disc brakes is fun but can be difficult to maintain. Trying to identify the dings and bends with the naked eye can be frustrating. I mounted this on my stand and was able to find the trouble areas in moment. Park Tools never disappoint.

My cheap wheel truing stand (Pyramid Deluxe Wheel Truing Stand) didn't have a mounting point for this rotor truing stand, so I clamped it to my drill press, and drilled a hole in it. Mounted perfectly.

The quick-release is nice, because it allows you to quickly swing it out of the way if you're working on a wheel, and not a rotor at the moment.

I've already trued several rotors with it a couple that I didn't even know where out of true. If you have a bike with disc brakes, and you already have a wheel truing stand, this tool is a must-have. You must have a wheel-truing stand in order to use this tool, though or else you won't have anything to mount it to.

Good attachment if you have rotors on your bike wheels. You can get away without it and setup your own, but it does the trick and isn't all that expensive. Satisfied with it.

Honest reviews on Park Tool Rotor Truing Gauge - DT-3

I was a professional bicycle mechanic for about a decade and used a lot of Park tools over the years. Their truing stands were great for truing wheels and this is a great attachment for truing brake rotors.

I considered a tool with a read-out gauge, but the precision of the gauge will likely only frustrate everyone but the most precise mechanic--I wouldn't even recommend a gauge for shop use if you want to be productive. I'd rather spend time riding as opposed to working on my bike so this will keep me from obsessing too much about my rotors.

Our oldest son, 3 yrs old has used a different balance bike in the past. We are giving that one to his younger brother for various reasons, and got him the smart balance bike. We got it, put it together and were VERY happy with the height as we have a tall 3 year old, and this will get him through the next year or two of growth spurts. He is only on the second lowest level.

What I am not pleased about is the seat. Its too wide for little legs. He said it hurt him, and stopped riding his bike. So, I had to take the whole bike seat apart, take off the seat padding, and have a woodworker friend of mine cut it down to an appropriate size using his old bike seat as a pattern. Really not happy that after I spent good money on a bike that I thought would work, I had to spend additional time/ effort/ money to "fix" the thing.

This is the second Smart Gear balance bike I've purchased. The first one I bought for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who is now 4 years old. Although she received a pedal bike this past Christmas with training wheels, it's collecting dust in the garage because she prefers her balance bike. So almost two years later, with the bike being dropped more often than not when she gets off it, it's still in great shape. I particularly like the cutout in the frame which makes carrying it easy when the little one is done riding. It's lightweight and portable. That being said, my 18 month old grandson loves his sister's bike, so I just bought him the Police Style version. He's thrilled to pieces. Although his little legs just about touch the floor, he already is balancing as we take turns bending over and guiding the bike. It won't be long before he joins his sister. I can't recommend this type of bike enough and particularly this brand. The value alone makes it a perfect choice and the quality is there to last a long time. I would definitely recommend this bike for all toddlers.

we purchased the police bike mostly because it was less expensive than the classic style smart gear balance bike. We already had one classic style and our twin boys were both enjoying the classic so much we wanted to get another. The police style sits more forward and is not ergonomic--it does not sit like a bike. My one son found it to be painful (in his inner thighs) and complained. We returned it and now waiting for another classic style.

Bought this bike for my almost 4 yr old for Christmas and he loves it! From only 6 months of using it he is now able to use his other bike without the training wheels because of his improved balance. He still prefers to use the balance bike when we go out though

This bike is ideal because of the pneumatic wheels and the adjustable seat but is simple and the police design is great

Highly recommended!

My 4yr old son has been using this bike since he was 2.6 yrs old. He absolutely loves it! It's height adjustable which we liked and he was able to glide within two days of using it. My only problem was that since he is a tough little boy and kept using the garage door to stop himself it broke kind of quickly. But we fixed it and away he went! For the money I say it was worth it!
