I fortunately never found out whether or not it would stand up to a thief trying to cut it but it was nonetheless very heavy duty feeling and easy to carry. I like the fact that it coils up very easily to fit into a bag if needed.

This is a great product. I live in a high crime town and needed the right lock for my moped. The rottweiler really does the trick. It feels very strong and is just long enough to attach the back tire to a railing, or just the tire to the frame so nobody can try to ride off with it. It is pretty portable; not that heavy...I usually just coil it up and put it on my handlebars. One thing i got used to and actually really like now is that the lock will not let you take your key without being %100 locked in; If it lets you take your key that means the lock is completely secure. Overall i am very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a great lock. It is strong yet not too heavy to carry. I got the 20mm X 3'4". It is long enough for one wheel and the frame plus a pole. (sign, bike rack) 5 Keys. Lock seems hard to pick. Smooth operation so far. I put oil in it immediately. On the key and inserted it several times. This is good for all locks.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the Face has a metal edge and may scratch the bike, especially while riding if it is stored around seatpost. A rubber coating around the face's edge (leaving the key area open and depressed) would have been perfect.

Honest reviews on OnGuard 8026 Rottweiler 20mm x 3'4" Armored Lock

This is a heavy, well made lock. I use it to secure the rear tire to the frame of the motorcycle as I do not have a stationary object to secure it to. I would highly recommend this lock. So far I have had no issues with the lock mechanism itself even though it has been in the rain. The manufacturer has "Notices" placed on the lock to spray WD-40 inside the locking mechanism to prevent any seizing. So far mine hasn't been in need of attention. Great lock and would recommend.

This seemed like a reasonably good quality lock. Unfortunately, 2 months after purchasing it, the key started to get stuck in the lock. I'd have to turn and release the lock several times before I could get the key out. That lasted about another month before the key got permanently stuck in the lock. It's useless now, obviously. I should point out that my bike and the lock were kept indoors. This lock hasn't seen rain or dirt. It has led the most pampered life imaginable for a bike lock, and still it died. That is an unacceptable level of reliability. I recommend getting another brand of lock. Certainly I will.

Edit: Last night I took a screwdriver and stuck it into the lock mechanism to fiddle around, see if I could unjam it. Without too much effort something clicked and the lock is working like new again. So I'm feeling better about this lock now, but still worried about its longevity.

I bought this when I converted my daughters barely used cheap mountain bike into a weekend urban bike for my wife. I could have ordered a custom small sized bike at one of the local shops but would still have needed to customize that. So I put some smooth rolling street tires on this three speed hub. We ended up with an easy shifting bike with a reliable rear coaster brake (it rains a lot here). I bought the matching front wheel too. Looks sharp, rolls true. Great deal as far as I'm concerned. Oh and I was able to take a bunch of cables, levers, complexity and weight off the bike.

I purchased this along with the RAM Square 2-inch x 1.7-inch base with 1-inch ball, and the Universal X-Grip Holder. As I am using this as a part of a system, I will comment on the overall package as the parts are all of the same high quality and would be useless alone.

Although I've only had it installed for a day, I could not be any more pleased. For reference, this is mounted on the dash of my 2003 Jeep Wrangler.

After going through countless cheap (under $5) car holders, mounts, etc., I finally had enough after purchasing an iOttie mount for around $15 only to have it break after 6 months of usage. Sure, it is plastic, and $15 isn't a lot of money in the big picture, but I need more than 6 months from a product.

I looked into several different mounting options including custom mounts, and fortunately came across RAM products. I read the reviews, looked into the company itself, and quickly ordered a solution that seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I am happy to say so far, I made the right decision.

I mounted the base to the center area of my Wrangler's dash, in a place that is covered by a removable rubber mat, and the screw holes can easily be covered up if someone decided to remove the mount for some reason (likely me, in order to keep it for my next vehicle!). This lets me angle the rest of the mount above the radio and vent, which I find to be the best location for navigation and music control.

The X-Grip connects to the socket arm and can be adjusted to almost any position. The X-Grip, if centered, does hit the volume/power buttons of my Nexus 4 if centered, but I find that positioning it to either side still provides an extremely secure grip and avoids hitting the buttons.

I obviously cannot speak to durability, but all 3 of the parts that I ordered appear to use high quality metals and plastics. The points that would be prone to failure due to sun/heat are sturdy enough that I will be amazed if it breaks, and considering RAM Mount's reputation I have a feeling I shouldn't worry. I will certainly come back and edit my review should that happen, but I trust RAM would take care of me even in the event

All said, I spent around $40 for the 3 pieces. I have probably spent that much in cheap plastic mounts in the past 3 years. I have no doubt that I could easily be using this 15 years down the road. Past the 15 year point, we will probably have all of our gadgets implanted in our brains, but I bet the plastic in this mount will still be solid!

So my next reviews of the RAM mount and pieces are going to be a cut and paste job. Not sure what else I can say and really these parts aren't the sexiest. They however are solid and long lasting. I wouldn't say that I "abused" the system this summer, but I certainly put it through its "paces". The system did not buckle and is waiting to be used again.

hello,

i can now change the stock long arm on my ram gps mount to adapt my digital camera and camcorder when needed. the original long arm is great for the gps, but the long arm stuck out too far to balance the cameras. the shorter 3 inch model makes it closer to the car, boat, table, surface, etc. i also bought the rubber ball base for the camera mounts. RAM Mounting Systems RAM-B-202AU 1" Rubber Ball Base with 1/4"-20 Stud For Camera. It works well and makes it less obtrusive when mounting both to a specific surface. great product and great delivery by gps city.

Honest reviews on National Products RAM-B-201 Ram Marine Double Socket Arm for 1" Ball

I use RAM mounts to hold the GPS in my pickup, and a phone and a helmet cam on my motorcycle. All of them perform perfectly, and I recommend them wholeheartedly. By the way, don't overtighten the socket arms. It's not necessary, and will make the 1" ball misshapened, which then limits your ability to adjust the mount.

The product and delivery were exactly as expected. I got it very quickly and the RAM product performs perfectly. I've used RAM products on my motorcycles and liked them. This one is being used on the sailboat. Should be more than adequate. Need to watch for corrosion but that's true of everything we use on the boat that's not marine grade stainless.

Great cassette for Triathletes. Very light and a good product for TT bikes. Sram red technology is almost the top.

Best Deals for Sram XG-1090 X-Dome Red Cassette

First let me say that this RED cassette is absolutely excellent. I upgraded from a stock cassette, and the difference in ride performance was like night and day.

With that said, when I first received this cassette it arrived in the correct box and was sealed as if it came from the factory. I was about to take it to my bike shop for installation, but decided to open the box to take a look first. To my surprise, there was a SRAM PG1070 cassette in the SRAM XG1090 box! The XG costs about $200 more than the PG, so as one might imagine I was quite upset. I called Amazon and they took care of it very quickly, so no long term complaints, but it just goes to show that you can't always trust the box that your product gets delivered in.

Honest reviews on Sram XG-1090 X-Dome Red Cassette

Great delivery and wait until you get it off the box. It is also super quiet... You need to experience it, if you need to upgrade, you won't regret getting this one. PS. Works well with SRAM RIVAL.

There is nothing better than this cassette for your SRAM setup. I have full 2010 SRAM red grouppo and needed to upgrade the cassette. This 2012 SRAM red works flawlessly with the older set and makes it much quieter to shift. This is incredibly light too. You won't believe how light it is when you pick it up out of the box. Fantastic craftsmanship, not cheap, but excellent upgrade if you need a new cassette.

Great lock for the city. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is just because I don't know whether or not it can be broken through. No one has tried to steal my Vespa yet. The chain is long enough that it reaches pretty far if you have to park it kind of far away from whatever you're securing it too. And all you have to do is unvelcro the cover and pull it back if you need to tighten it up for a more secure fit. The U-lock itself is much more secure and durable than it even looks on the website. I would HIGHLY recommend this lock to anyone!

I searched and searched and searched and researched to find the perfect double stroller for when our second son arrived in March of 2012. Our boys are a day under 20 months apart. I found out that there is no perfect stroller, but the CitiMini Double is pretty close to perfection for our family! I knew we wanted a side by side double because I feel the front to backs are like pushing a bus (much like the bench seat shopping cart at the grocery store...awesome idea, way bad for the person pushing). After researching TONS of options, trying out a bunch at the stores, looking on craigslist I found the CityMini Double. When I first saw the price...YIKES...but we were fortunate enough to have my parents split the cost with my husband and I which was a huge blessing. However, I think we would have made do for a while, saved up the money, and bought this on our own....it's that good.

Here are many of the features that I love about this stroller:

* It folds up almost completely flat! Especially when you take the front wheels off, which is super easy I might add. We have this stroller fit in the back of our Mazda Tribute, it can also sit upright against the side of the trunk and we can still fit lots in for our family of 4. (The dog didn't come with us as much though after having 2 kids) :(

* Folding and Unfolding the stroller is super easy, all you have to do is lift up on the straps in the middle of the seats and it fold up. It's fairly lightweight and I can easily lift it into the trunk of the car.

* My oldest (who is now 2.5) can get in and out by himself which is awesome because he doesn't always want to be pushed in the stroller

* I LOVE that BOTH seats recline almost completely! This was great when our second was a newborn, we had him in this stroller completely reclined with a snuzzler put in on his side when he was 2 months old. We strapped him in tight and could take him around the block as he slept comfortable. LOVE this feature! Putting the seats up and down is super easy too

* I love that the sun shades go one step further than most to block out the sun when it's setting/rising. My kids like this feature too. It helps if they are napping as well or if it's really windy out!

* The harness straps make me feel like my kids are safe, they are super easy to adjust and to put on and take off. I no longer have my 2.5 year old strapped in when we use it because he likes to climb in and out, but he can sit comfortably without having them on.

* I LOVE that this is no wider than a wheelchair which means you can fit through just about ANY door! Many people are surprised to see me fit through doors with this stroller as I don't think many side by sides do. Some clothing stores in the mall make it a challenge to fit through (ironically children clothing store....you think they would have planned on double strollers), but whatever.

Things that are a bit annoying: (not a con, just some things you get when buying this amazing stroller)

* There isn't a lot of storage for your diaper bag. The basket underneath (although large) is hard to access. You can throw a few shopping bags from the mall in there, or loosely throw diaper bag items in there, but that makes a bit of a mess. We usually wear the diaper bag and push the stroller. There are two mesh pockets behind each seat that can hold a water bottle and snack easily which is helpful to quick grab and give the kids if necessary.

* This isn't the best stroller to take on a bumpy road. I wish they had more of a "tire" feel to it, but oh well. It works for us to take the kids around the block (which is very bumpy, my toddler doesn't care for the bumps too much, but it is what it is, can't have a perfectly paved road). If you had this on a nice paved jogging path, it would be fine to push and walk/run/rollerblade behind.

*There is no storage along the top bar for a water bottle, keys, paci, etc. This was a major challenge for me at first and I ended up putting a lot of it on top of the boys seats (just lifted the sun shade back, put my stuff there, and set it back to hold it). however, after much searching on amazon I found this DIONO BUGGY BUDDY ORGANIZER that fits the city mini double. It works on one side of the stroller, holds 2 water bottles, keys, phone, paci and is the solution to much of my frustration! CityMini would say that you are not to hang bags or anything off this handlebar because of weight restrictions and the possiblity of the stroller tipping over, but this little organizer would never get heavy enough for the items in it to make it tip over. Here is a link to that item http://www.amazon.com/Diono-Buggy-Buddy-Stroller-Organizer/dp/B005PK1G76/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362767149&sr=8-1&keywords=diono+stroller+organizer

The seats do sit fairly close to one another, but the kids have to sit back a bit that they can't bug each other (ie hit one another) :) If you had a larger child, I'm not sure this would be very comfortable for them to sit in.

On a side note: Don't hang your diaper bag off the back of the stroller if it's heavy or if you have super tiny kids in the stroller. When the kids get out, if the diaper bag is heavy enough, it WILL pull the stroller backwards to tip over. There are warnings all over the manual and the stroller that tell you not to do this and DUH, there is a reason. Because this stroller is so lightweight and compact, it will happen. FYI

Again, there really aren't many negatives for us about this stroller (just more annoying), but we have learned to live with it and/or found a solution and we LOVE LOVE LOVE this stroller for our two boys. We plan on expanding our family and knwo we will continue to use this stroller.

Sorry for the long review I just wanted someone to hear how this stroller has been great for our family or hopefully help you out if you are doing crazy research like I did in finding the best double stroller for you! Thanks for reading and sorry for any typos :)

I really liked this stroller while it lasted. We used it every day, on rough sidewalks, often loaded up both with shopping and/or library books in the bottom, plus two girls 14 months apart. I got it when the younger was maybe just turning one, and the older just over two. It was great in terms of size, and we loved the big shade and rain covers. Easy to maneuver, and they always seemed comfortable in it. Surprisingly easy to fit in doorways. BUT, a couple of months ago -just 18 months into owning it -the main metal bar of the stroller just snapped in two, while my partner was tipping it to get it up the curb of the sidewalk. It was completely useless, unfixable. Fortunately the kids were not hurt, but they easily could have been. Really dangerous! And this was normal city use... you can't avoid curbs!

UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer, and they responded, after a week, saying that the frame does sometimes break if you use it on stairs or curbs, and this is not covered in the warranty, because you aren't supposed to use it on curbs. It's obviously a problem with this model that they have already heard about. I checked through the warranty, and in fact it mentions stairs, but NOT curbs. I don't see how you can avoid curbs in the city. A stroller that is likely to break irreparably if you push it up or down a curb is not a very useful or sturdy product. Very disappointed in babyjogger. For this price, you really should make a sturdier product.

BUT, I ALSO WANT TO SAY KUDOS TO AMAZON: I explained the issue to them and they actually REFUNDED me. THAT WAS AMAZING SERVICE. SO, one star for babyjogger, but five stars for Amazon.

Best Deals for Baby Jogger City Mini Double Stroller

We have a single BJ 2010 City Mini and a single jogging stroller and waited for the 2012 BJ CM double once we had our 2nd. We currently have a 25 month old and 4 mo old. We go on 1-3 mile walks about 4x per week including weekly walks to the grocery store. The stroller is perfect for suburban sidewalks and the occasional gravel path. It easily fits into our SUV trunk without taking up much space. However, it BARELY fits through the door that separates our garage from our home. It has great capacity, seems to very comfortable for both of our kids, and is very easy for me (6') and my wife (5'2") to maneuver. Our only minor gripes -my wife finds it harder than expected to open, and because the seats are deeper, our 25 mo old can't see his sister even when he tries to lean forward.

Honest reviews on Baby Jogger City Mini Double Stroller

We've had our City Mini Double for 6 years (so clearly not the 2012 model) but I have to say it has been a workhorse and held up great, especially as it has been our ONLY stroller for 6 years. Now that the kids are 6 and 7 we only really use it for long day trips to theme parks several times a year but it is still going strong. It has begun to tear at the seams on the inside of the seats but considering our son is 52# and our daughter is 43# and we are pushing our weight limit, it's understandable. Our kids also tend to LEAP into the seats with extra force, compounding the problem. The negatives for me were the stroller did not come with a parent or kid tray and I did not want to pay for more accessories. We made do with tucking water bottles up under the folded canopies and putting most of our stuff in a diaper bag, but in hindsight I wish I'd invested in one of the other parent trays most other reviewers mention. The lack of a kid tray never became an issue for us. The basket underneath can be a bit difficult to access with bigger bags but once you get them in there, it will hold quite a bit. We love the recline and the fact that the seats are deep enough to give the kids some privacy from each other, especially when putting down the oversized canopies. And it's been easy to collapse and store, even with not having an automatic lock on our model. While we now have a large cargo area in our Subaru Outback, we originally fit it behind the third row in our Honda minivan. Ultimately, the handling and smoothness of the ride sold us. Even with two larger kids in it I can handle it with one-hand if needed. It has been so easy to maneuver and there is rarely a door that we can't fit through. Now that we're expecting a new baby in the fall and the kids are outgrowing the double, I'm absolutely going back to Baby Jogger for our single stroller needs!
