I purchased this bike based on the reviews. It arrived quickly and it's great! It rides very nice. I'm a 38 with a back problem that keeps me from riding a regular bike. This was the PERFECT answer for me. I can ride with the kids and Hubby without any problems and without worrying about hurting my back while balancing a regular bike. The basket is great! You can fit a lot of stuff in it for a long bike ride (water,blanks, food, kites! A small sized dog could easily ride in the basket too!). Best part about the basket is that it collapses and folds onto its self so that it can be a flat "bed".

There was just a few items to assemble. Most of the bike was pre-assembled, which surprised me. You do have to put on the, steering wheel, front tire and fender, the rear tires and fenders, the foot pedals, and connect the rear frame with the front frame (two bolts) and a small drive chain--which was easy. The basket has four bolts to attach it to the frame and that's basically it!

One other point: It looks COOL! It has that beach cruiser look with a new twist.

I baught my Schwinn Meridian in August 07, and I am very happy with how sturdy it is and how easy it is to ride. I have two young healthy dogs who need a lot more exercise then I could give them. So I baught the bike to exercise them with and it is working out better then I could have ever hoped. The bike is very sturdy so if the dogs pull hard to one side it doesnt budge. The brakes are wonderfulstop on a dime. I had it assembled at Sports Authority for $25 and I couldnt be happier with is quality and function. It is surprisingly peppy.

I got one of these very recently, because I cannot ride a 2-wheeled bike due to balance issues from a brain injury. It was relatively easy to assemble, 'though I did require help. I am very happy with it so far! It is able to get me around my small town without any problems! I highly recommend this product for those who cannot ride a regular 2-wheeler! The basket is VERY nice and large and also easily collapsible.

this trike is made of aluminium so it wont rust, great for where I live,

I added a front wheel Electric hub motor so when I get tired of pedalling I click it in, also I fitted a canopy, to keep off the sun and rain,{made by miami sun}.there is no licence, tag, tax, or insurance worries ride it right up to the store front door and lock it and I can legally ride it on the sidewalk in either direction, what a concept, smell the roses.

I bought this bike for my 78 year old grandmother, who wanted a bike to ride but has balance problems. Since getting this bike, she has become a neighborhood institution!

Grandma rides the bike nightly around the neighborhood, and loves to race the kids (though she always lets them win) down her street. She jokes she's going to start a delivery service to use the basket in the back!

This bike turned out to a bit better than expected. It came with a lot of great extras: lites, chain guard, fenders, rack, etc. Looks really cool, seems very well built and thought-out. A great value at $280. Major problems were a lack of clear instructions for assembly. Manual covered half doz. models, none of them even close to this bike! I had to have a pro button it all up (an extra $50).

Once all was together and safe, it turns out to be just a little too small for me. I am a bit over 6 feet tall. After trying all the many possible adjustments, I was unable create a safe and comfortable ride.

Too bad, I really wanted it to work! Recent knee problems (age 70)have forced me to need a "step-through" bike like this.

I would think twice before buying this bike again. I was attracted to the bike from the description because I am an older rider and like the idea of the ease of getting on and off the bike. When I called to inquire if the bike was fully assembled, I was told it was 85% assembled and that the few remaining pieces would be easily put on. The manual was a generic manual and really gave no helpful information specific for this bike. Also, you need to have a variety of metric tools including a 14 mm deep socket, 10 mm short socket, 6 mm Allen wrench, 5 mm Allen wrench, crescent wrench, 5/32 Allen wrench and 8, 10, and 15 mm open/box wrench (only the 5 and 6 mm Allen wrenches came with the bike). With great difficulty my husband and I put the bike together over a 3-4 hour period. Once finished I went for a ride only to find that the chain and gear shift mechanism weren't assembled properly at the factory, so I couldn't even ride it. $80 later, after taking the bike to our local bike store for a complete overhaul, I was able to go for my first ride. The seat that comes with this bike is not for those of us with larger girths. I felt like I was going through childbirth again, so I ordered another seat more befitting my derriere. The base price of the bike is good, however, after adding an additional $110 for the seat and overhaul, I no longer think this bike is such a good deal. I wish I had bought a bike from my local bike store where I could have gotten more personalized service and a guarantee on the bike parts.

A well made bike with a lot of style but with poor directions for putting together. The booklet that came with the bike was for other bikes. No mention of the lighting system at all. I still can't figure how to install the wiring. The seven speeds are all I need in flat Florida. I will visit a bike shop for some help. Still like the bike.

My boyfriend bought me this bike for Christmas. I did a lot of research before I settled on this one. It met all of my criteria:

1. Step through frame

2. Handle bars for upright sitting

3. Hand brakes

4. Fenders

5. Self generating light system

6. Although this did not get glowing reviews, most complaints were about assembly. So I took it to the local bike shop and had it professionally assembled. Because my boyfriend has Amazon Prime, I was still saving money versus retail.

7. Shocks on the front fork

8. A guard on the gears to keep my pants from being damaged.

It has satisfied all of the criteria and then some. I like that the tires have reflective stripes on them. They seem very resilient. I enjoy riding the bike and have received compliments.

Why not a perfect score?

1. It is MUCH heavier than I expected it to be.

2. It rides smoothly; BUT it's very slow. It is really made for actual cruising. I use it to get to work and sometimes this makes it less than ideal if I'm in a hurry.

3. The fenders are poorly made and easily damaged.

4.The brakes are not goodthis can probably be remedied with a trip to the bike shop.

7. The kickstand is very unreliable. I think my brakes were damaged through repeated falls.

It will do for now. But it is not my final destination in the search for a good commuting bike.

This is a great bike. I am a female 5"8" and wanted a bike that I can ride in an upright position. Very sturdy steel construction but feel that that the mudguards could have been metal and not plastic. I would have given 5 stars but for the packaging nightmare as noted by other buyers. Loose parts were everywhere inside the box and some were broken. I had a mechanic assemble the bike and he managed to fix it so I would not have the hassle of returning it. For this pleasure I was charged an extra $40. Not happy about that, however the bike itself is worth it.

We bought this tricycle for our son who is almost 2. He is in the 90th % for his height, so we didn't even consider that it may be too small for him. But he can't reach the pedals at all, even with the seat in the lowest position. Not even close. We have to buy him a new trike so he has something to ride until he grows into this one. But in the meantime, he loves the bike. He stands in front of it to ring the bell and play with the streamers on the handlebars. He will sit on the back "step" and say "vroom vroom" pretending he is riding it. I think that once he finally grows into it he will really enjoy it. I can't wait to see him riding on it! But based on the size, I think it's better for a child closer to 3 years old.

This bike is described appropriate for a 24 month old. You can imagine how disappointed our little boy was to see his new bike and barely be able to touch the ground. He immediately fell off and was upset. Ugh! My little guy is not short kid either (80th percentile). So what 24 month old are they using??? Amazon took good care of us though, which made the whole situation more bearable. We opted to purchase a knock off 10 inch bike rather than have him fall off the 12 inch classic. Once he's tall enough it will get a lot of use. The streamers and bell really add to the fun of this bike.

UPDATE AUGUST 2006: It has been nearly five years since I bought this trike and wrote the below review. The trike is still holding its own. It was handed down to my second child, who outgrew it, and then handed down to our neighbor, who is still riding it.

Yes, this is the classic trike, virtually unchanged from its original design. Unfortunately, that also means that the design has not substantially improved during the past 40 years. I got this for my 3-year old, and she began riding it with a little effort. Now she's 4, and she still loves riding it. No problem there.

One problem is that the child sits high on the trike, and the front wheel is small enough and thin enough that it is easy for the child to tip over when making a quick turn. This is especially true when turning at a sidewalk corner that that has been modified to slope toward the street for wheelchair access.

Another problem is that the handlebars can become misaligned with the wheel (wheel is straight, but handlebars are turned a smidge to one side, and vice versa)unless you screw the bolt in real REAL tight. Same with the seat; because it's held in place by a bolt, the seat can become misaligned by swiveling a fraction of an inch in either direction unless its screwed in really REALLY tight.

The best part about this trike is the bell. It has one of the best bike/trike bells I've ever heard. The second best part of this trike is that it is one of the few these days that have the back platform for another kit to stand on. Yes, I have a feeling that modern trikes eliminate this feature for safety reasons, but I am one of those who think "safety concerns" have gone a little too far. Riding on the back is king.

Even with the above concerns, I love this trike. It just means that you gotta watch the really young ones when they're riding around. My 18-month old son now wants to play with it. He climbs on and pretends to ride, ringing the bell. (For him, this year, I got him the "Rock, Roll and Ride Trike" by Fisher Price. It's a rocker, then a push-trike, then a full-blown trike.)

My son received this bike for his 3rd birthday from his grandparents. We loved it's looks. When the weather broke we took it outside and we were ready for some fun. Well everytime my son turned the bike fell over. When you turn it cuts too sharp and the bike tips over. After three times of getting hurt that was it and he will not ride the bike now. We thought maybe he was too young so we let our neighbors son ride, he is four he also fell twice and will not ride. Last but not least we let a 5 year old try she also fell twice and that was it for her. They look at the bike as if to say, "I'm not riding that bike." So now it sits in our garage. I will say though it is a beautiful bike just not made to turn.

We received this 12-inch tricycle (Model #33) as a gift for our son who is almost 5 and very tall. I wish I had found one for him to try when he was 3 so I could have seen how much legroom was available. The nearest ToysRus does not carry this model trike only the smaller 10-inch. Other brand 12-inch tricycles were too small for him. From what I have gathered from this site and experience, it should be labeled 3-7 years. I believe he will get 1 or 2 years out of this before he would outgrow it. With his leg at the highest position on the pedal, he has 3½ inches of room before the handlebar. I think I can raise the handlebars at least another ½ inch and still be safe.

The trike is very sturdy and easy to maneuver so he can ride in our basement. My son is on the reckless side so this trike is perfect, though he has to be careful not to turn the wheel to sharp. I don't want him riding a 2-wheel bike before he can understand that he has to really watch where he is going. (We also live on a steep hill with nowhere to learn how to ride a 2-wheel bike.)

The trike comes with most of it put together which is really nice. Years ago you had to put on pedals, handle grips, etc. All that is needed to put the trike together is a few drops of oil, hammer, 2 adjustable wrenches, & screwdriver for bell connector. Only 4 things had to be tightened besides attaching the bell. I spent more time verifying all the parts were there (some are attached to the trike pieces), than putting it together. The seat is adjustable to 3 levels.

It is nice that the bell comes with the trike. It can be used by thumb or just spun to make the bell ring. My son loves the bell.

I have had this trainer for just under 2 months and am fairly happy with my purchase. I knew going in, that I wasn't going to get a Cadillac (or BMW) for a hundred bucks, but it does a good job of helping me keep in shape during the cold winter months. To give you some kind of idea as to my normal work out level, I generally ride out doors about 2,000 miles per year. With my retired 20+ year old Fuji Palisade mounted in this trainer at high resistance, and top gear on the bike, I can get a full cardio workout.

I used the free shipping option, and received the package a few days earlier than originally expected. Assembly was completed in a 10-15 min time frame, using the instructions included in the box. I didn't need to use the included skewer replacement, as the stock quick release axle on my Fuji fit fine. The paint finish looks great, and the only thing I might have added would be a quick release between the bike tire and the resistance unit so I don't have to re-adjust the tension each time I ride. NOTE: You do not want to leave the tire locked in when you are not riding in order to prevent the tire from denting. Noise is not an issue for me. Sure it make some noise, but it is not so loud that I can't listen to my MP3 player, and the more I ride, the less I notice it.

One final note, if you are going to buy this or any other trainer you really should consider a stabilizer for the front wheel.

For the price this wasn't bad.

I experienced a few minor frustrations. The assembly pictures weren't really clear, but putting it together was fairly self explanatory so I could live despite that.

The only real issue came when I went to mount my bike. I have a Mongoose Mountain bike, and this is most definitely set up for a street bike.

if you don't have a quick release latch on your rear tire you may need to purchase one. the one that is supplied is extremely small if you have a mountain bike (Mine requires almost a 1/4 inch shaft the one supplied is considerably less than that)

However I was able to improvise by tightening the bracket on to my lugs and it works fine.

Is rather loud, but I attribute that to my knobby tired more-so than the unit itself, which when I tested it was very quiet

All said and told a good purchase, just wish they had supplied more information (such as the latch) before purchasing so i could have been better prepared.

This product was purchased as a gift for my wife. We have had it for one month and she has been using it since Christmas. I found the assembly to be easy and the instructions easy to follow. Before purchasing I was almost scared off by other reviews that had talked about excessive noise. While it is far from quiet the noise is no more of a distraction than a running refrigerator. My wife listens to the radio while using the trainer with no problems. She uses the trainer in our garage on a cement floor.

i love this thing. and i paid more for it in a bike store so this is a deal. snap to set-up. takes 15 minutes maybe. there is a gentle hum but not loud. i have chronic fatigue so this is perfect. I was looking for a very easy low impact workout and this is it. I used to be an avid bike rider but not suffer from CFS and i'm hoping this thing will bring me back. so if you need and real easy work-out and have cfs this is as good as it gets. I love it. and this price is a super deal.

After looking for a trainer for about a week I reluctantly purchased this one. I say reluctantly because everyone and everything told me to go for the cycle ops brand by saris. Friends had them and liked them, all the bike shops in my town exclusively sell them, and they just look better. I however did not want to drop the money for one. So I went with this one, and was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived and found out that it is made by saris!

First thing I liked about it; ease of setup. It has no parts to assemble, you just unfold it, attach the resistance unit using a bolt, screw in the adjustment knob and it's ready to go. It took about 5 minutes and most of that was cleaning a space to assemble it in.

Second; resistance. If you have a triple gear bike you will have no problems resistance. This trainer easily gives me a work out, and I have been riding trails at least four times a week for a year now.

Third; transportation. This mostly stays in my office with a bike on it, but occasionally I take it outside. This unit easily folds up and is not too heavy.

Now the other details, and these all involve the tire not the trainer.

Noise. If you have a mt. bike tire on it, it is going to be loud.

Ride quality. Again a mt. bike tire is going to slip easily due to the knobs which will not give you a smooth ride. It will also cause it to heat up the tire and give an awful burnt rubber smell.

These are two things I see talked about negatively towards all the trainers I looked into, and they are so easy to fix. Get a slick tire.

The noise is drastically reduced and the ride is much smoother. You also don't get that awful smell that many complain about.

This is a great product and I'm very happy I bought it.

The Powerwing scooter is great. It has three wheels, and it comes in red, blue, and green. You mess up at first but then you get the hang of it. Then you will do some tricks, and it is fun.

My friend got this for his birthday, and he let us try it out. I thought it was cool, so I got this for christmas. It was fun when winter was over, and I tried some tricks. It was really fun. I love it.

I recommend someone who likes to do tricks or is bored with their scooter. You should have fun when you ride. Get a Powerwing--guaranteed you will have so much more fun.

The brakes are great. I've had mine for two years. A few parts have fallen off, but it still works. You have to be under 150 lbs, but that is why there is adult size too.

Kids don't have to have all the fun, and you can adjust the height of the handlebars so you don't have to bend over.

I bought this wheel for my nephews scooter that broke an axle and need replacing, I got and it looked way to small for the tire and iner tube to fit on it. The with of the rim for the wheel is very narrow compared to the mag wheel that it came with. My was I surprised when it did fit, was amazed just wow. (16 x 2.125)

I how ever did have some difficulty getting the wheel on the scooter, but with a litter widening of the back where the nuts go. it fix very well.
