It is a bike for a novice biker. It is very easy to assemble and get ready to use. I bought it for my wife so she can enjoy riding with me.I had it put together and ready to ride in about half an hour. If you are thinking you want to get it to ride in comp. or races, don't bother with this bike. It won't hold up to the roughness, I don't think anyway. As far as using it for riding on rails to trails or rides like that, just fine.....

The bike itself doesn't feel very stable when I'm riding it to start with. The first time I went on a mountain bike trail I hit a rock and the front tire flew off. Everytime I ride the chain somehow gets loose and gets wedged between the gear and the frame. When I got the bike the front brake was broken.

I bought this bike for myself to start riding again withy daughter. I had professionals put it together for me and stated there were a number of problems with it. The stokes were loose. It won't go into the last 2 gears and they had a problem with the chain coming off of it over again. Now riding it it doesn't feel right. Even when I change gears it feels like the ride is the same. And it takes a fewinutes for the chain to jump to the next gear which is worrisome when you're riding. On top of it the seat is terrible. If I could send it back I would.

Well hopefully this won't happen to others.

The bike was late, the wrong color arrived. The box looked like it was Christmas morning all ripped up. The front wheel was bent.. When I tested it for my daughter the gears broke and had it been my little girl on it she would of probably gotten hurt.. Oh huffy! Very disappointed on your shipping dept.

Purchased this shifter to replace the broken one on my wife's 21 speed Trek mountain bike. Item arrived in about a week in factory packaging and installed easily in about 20 minutes. My wife likes this thumb shifter much more than the original as it has a more positive thumb "click" (both tactile and aural) plus a visual gear indicator.

Bought this set to replace the grip shifters that came on my Walmart Mongoose Deception 29". The "Wal-Goose" is a 7 speed rear cassette and 3 speed front sprocket. The SRAM grip shifters were junk, these went on with no problem and I had them adjusted and working perfect in about an hour. Like other reviewers said these come with the new cable preattached so all I had to do was route the cable through my existing housings.

I ordered these shifters about a month or so ago. They took two weeks to come in. They work really great! I ordered these because like the guy below me ( not exactly below), I have a walmart mongoose 29'er deception and it crapped out about month after I got it. I have been slowly upgrading everything and these shifters are smooth. these are a lot better than the original twist shifters that came with the bike. the next thing I am going to do is upgrade the cassette and buy new handle bar grips and ill be set! I do recommend these shifters though. for the price, it was well worth it.

These M310 trigger shifters do a great job of shifting the gears. Fast, great shift feel, accurate and solidly built. And I like that the indicators are tucked up close to the underside of the bars where they are protected from impacts. Other trigger shifters have the gear indicators above the bars, where they are more subject to damage in a crash.

I use these shifters with the Shimano Alivio FD-M412 front and RD-M410 rear derailleurs, Shimano MF-HG37 freewheel, and Shimano HG70 chain. These components work very well together. A fabulous upgrade over the Shimano Tourney rear derailleur, SRAM twist grip shifters, and Falcon freewheel & front derailleur that came on the bike new.

Feels like a whole new bike!

Use the 3 speed shifter with this 7 speed shifter.

This part perfectly replaced the drive gear selector on my old 21 speed mountain bike. The original no longer functioned and I liked the bike, so I purchased this part as a replacement and it works great. I am glad that I made this modest investment.

Bought this for a gift with the backpack that it can slide into the side for snowmobiling adventures. My bother was extremely happy with it and said it worked awesome on his trips out west. The icepick on the handle was apparently a life saver for knocking the snow out of his tracks. The only thing that bothered me was the compass on the handle did not work when we got it. I was disappointed but he didn't seem to care at all.

This shovel worked great on its first trip to the big horns. Big enough to actually move snow but compact enough to fit in my backpack. the saw is superb and a necessity when snowmobiling, used it on numerous occasions to hack off branches and cut down small trees that my sled didn't quite make it over!

This shovel was instrumental in saving the life of my 13 y/o son and myself when we found ourselves stranded in the mountains during a winter storm while snowmobiling. The shovel is stronger than a few other similar shovels we own. This shovel provided us with the means to make fire and water to drink. The shovel has holes near the edges of the shovel, but NO HOLES in the middle area which is key. After using the saw to gather branches (we eventually cut a ~14" log for some dry wood) for lining a snow cave and starting a fire, we were able to melt snow in the shovel and then pour it into our water bottles. The compass in the handle was a fail from the moment we bought the shovel, but is of no real consequence as we carry our own compass. The bright orange shovel works well as a flag to mark the entrance to a snow cave when searchers are trying to find you. The saw is very sharp and I'm ever-thankful we had one of these shovels with us when we found ourselves in a mountain survival situation. After seeing how instrumental this shovel was in us surviving our ordeal, I strongly recommend this product and will not be without it myself.

Items to be improved on this shovel;

Compass; just pretend it is not there and don't let it lead you in circles.

Collapsible handle; The inner tubing slides JUST a bit too far into the outer tubing, making it nearly impossible to get it back out when one finds themselves in the snow. To make this better, HMK could design the tube so it will only slide into the outer tube until it is flush. Even with this design problem, the shovel was still instrumental in our survival situation.

Shovel; Design a leading edge corner for pouring the water from melting snow into a container. To see what I mean, fill the shovel with water and attempt to pour it into a bottle. Much of the water spills onto gloves (which is bad in a winter survival situation) and onto the ground vs. going into your container. When the wind is blowing and the snow is trying to put your fire out, every bit of water is quite important. If this shovel were designed with melting snow and pouring the water into a bottle as intended uses, it would be an even better life-saving product.

Bike arrived in less than a week. No issues with shipping.

Assembly was easy. Instruction are a little vague but I really didn't need them. Had to connect the front tire, handlebars, pedals, seat, and reflectors. Took me less than an hour and I thought it was straight forward and simple. Chain and backtire were already mounted.

Bike rides great. I love the big tires which make for a much smoother ride than the thinner road bike tires. I just ride mine around on trails. I bought this because it has the Shimano 3 speed internal hub. No derailer to make the chain fall off. It has coaster brakes which I also wanted... no brake cables to mess around with. I was looking for a low maintenance bike which I believe I hae found. fewer flat tires, no cable adjusting, minimal "gearage" problems.

I love the leather, padded handlebar grips. I missed that in the description but found it to be a pleasant surprise.

The guys at from Beach Bike (the vendor) contact me via email before shipment arrived to tell me they were there for me if I needed them which was reassuring. However, I did not need them as everything was perfect.

My only complaint is that I am 5'5" and I am too dang short for the 26" wheels. I would have preferred 24" but that's my issue, not theirs.

I purchased this bike, Firmstrong "Bruiser 3 sp Men's", and the Firmstrong "Urban Lady" for my wife. Both bikes came promptly. I then had very nice follow up messages from Dustin at beach bikes. The messages included information about riding trails, helpful hints, and inquiry about any issues with the bikes. Customer service from start to end was terrific. I cannot remember a time I have ordered something online and felt so well taken care of. I did have one small issue, and one question over the first couple weeks. Both were handled exceptionally well and to my full satisfaction. I have since enjoyed riding the Beach bike almost every day and overall rate the experience a 5 out of 5.

I purchased the bike online from amazon and have been very pleased. They do have a great customer service that responded quickly with a question I had. It was packed well and easy to assemble. I have no mechanical talent and was afraid that it would be difficult to assemble. Not a problem! Love the color... smooth shift and great three speed! My only mistake was letting my wife ride it the other day. she said the secret was out... it is much nicer than her Schwinn. Now she is not as happy as she use to be! :)
