Well, I bought this quick release basket mostly to maximize the carrying potential of a Daihon folding bike. The overall design is deceptively simple. The top hooks will fit right over your handlebars and the retaining ring is nothing more than a Velcro strap and you will be largely using physics to help keep the basket in place. The actual basket itself incorporates the angled handles (facing the rider) to help keep retention of the basket with supporting hooks at the base. That's probably the only part that worries me. Moving parts as points of locking fixation kind of scare me.

I can only attest that it rides at low speeds without any problems and I've skittishly put my 6lb yorkie in the front basket to see if it can handle the shifting and the weight (not out riding, just letting him sit in it). Quite honestly if all you have is some small items (block of cheese and loaves of french bread?) or a helmet to tuck into the front when parked, this will be fine. The quick detach is pretty smart, but I would worry if you start going north of 20lbs or have roads with lots of bumps.

Overall, pretty slick design but doubtful of it's durability or weight capabilities so only pack stuff that you won't cry about if the basket starts to wobble.

-pros: quick and easy to install and detach, doubles my carrying capacity, does not sissify my bike

-cons: potentially not secure above certain weight tolerances

This is the same basket as the Sunlite. Terrible design. The basket falls off when you hit a bump, all because the handles fly up. I had the misfortune of this occurring while I was on a ride with my toddler in his Topeak seat. The basket fell and hit the front tire.

Also keeping the basket on the bike in the garage in South Florida did it no justice as the paint peeled off from the rust forming below it.

Also your bicycle headtube is damaged by the rubbing of the hanging bracket since the part moves when you turn the handlebars.

The Wald quick release basket is much better with the permanent bracket that does not destroy the head tube on your bike, including your head tube badge.

Searched and searched, and this was the only basket that would fit my hybrid bike (Ladies' Schwinn 700C Trail Way Hybrid 28"). The basket seems sturdy and easy to install. I bought it in black and may be switching it out for the white one. Great little easy on basket.

I am a senior citizen who still rides a bike every day. I bought this basket after checking stores in my area. Many said "bike basket"? We don't carry them. I found this on Amazon and I love it. I hooked it up in three minutes, took it shopping and it held everything. Great for short trips, library books and purse. This basket is well worth the price.

Basket pops off when you hit any little bump. I'll be buying some zip ties to attach it permanently, though I'll be sad to lose the ability to take it with me into the grocery store

I've had these lights for about 6 months now. For a cheap set of bike lights, I am impressed with the quality. The headlight puts out enough light to safely bike at slow to moderate speeds. It's probably not quite bright enough to actually use as a road cycling headlight. They are definitely big and bright enough to be noticeable by cars. The headlight has a solid beam mode and a strobe mode. The tail light has a solid beam, strobe, and alternating mode. Each run off of three LEDs. The headlight takes 4 AAA batteries (based on reading the specs--I didn't actually open it to check) and the tail light takes 2 AAA batteries. All batteries are included. I frequently take the headlight off my bike and use it as a normal flashlight, of which it does a superb job. I can't really estimate how many hours of use the lights have had, but I haven't had to replace the batteries yet, and the light doesn't seem to be dimming at all.

Having said that, I do not like the mounting system. I'm not convinced it will hold up over time because the whole thing is made out of plastic and I can easily imagine it wearing out to the point of not being able to hold the light on after considerable use. It is also difficult to secure the headlight mount tight enough onto the bike to prevent the light from tilting off center after hitting bumps. One piece of advice: if you buy these, make sure the headlight clicks into place on the mounting bracket each time you attach it. I did not realize this and as a result, the light fell off and broke an internal plastic piece that holds the front and back portions of the light together. I used tape to secure the connection again and it somehow still works. I don't think I can really blame this incident on the mounting system, but it's easy to think the light is properly secured when it's not.

Overall, I'm very pleased with these lights and would recommend them.

I got this light less than a month ago for commuting home from work. I ride about 7.5 miles round trip and work 2nd shift so it's dark on the ride home. I work in the suburbs and ride on a fairly quiet street. But, at 12:30am their are a couple of half mile stretches with no street lights and very little ambient light from houses, etc. This isn't car headlight bright but it does the job for what I need. Last weekend I rode into the Minneapolis and went to a concert, when I got out and hooked the light back on the bracket I dropped it from handlebar height to the asphalt and it came apart. After that fall it only worked about 30% of the time on a long ride home. I called Blackburn yesterday and they just asked for my name and shipping address and are sending me out a replacement. I was amazed I was trying to find out if I lost an O ring or some connection wasn't working. No questions asked no excuses they said a replacement will be in my hands within a week.

It's nice to know someone still stands behind their products.

These lights are everything you need for night riding. The headlamp actually diverts light on the sides so you can see not only what is ahead of you, but you see the road on each side of your tires as well. Batteries are changed easily and take a long while before they die out. After four months I haven't been hit yet, so the taillight must be doing its job!

This is a excellent light set for the price. easy to install and operate. Light is very bright and the best part is it comes with batteries installed. How can you beat that buy it, get it, install it and use it!

See and be seen. Quality, value and a lifetime warranty. You can't beat that!

What I love most about these lights is the mounting system. It's quick, easy, and secure. It's also pretty easy to remove/reattach the lights for parking.

The tail light is great. Couldn't ask for anything more. The headlight is plenty bright for what need. Naturally it isn't going to act like car headlights, but it really does help. If there are streetlights, you probably won't be able to really see the headlight's path, but if you actually NEED to see at night, it definitely pulls through.

Ridiculously great price on this super stiff and lightweight crank. Took over a pound and half off my cross bike over the crank it replaced. Could not be happier, especially at this price!
