Campagnolo equipment has always been an expensive purchase but even the lowest end of the commonly used stuff, Veloce has a reliability that surpasses its competitors in the gearing market. For example, when I lived in Canada the rival S.I.S. system was known as "Sometimes It Shifts" whereas Campagnolo's ergo system was know as "Exceptionally Reliable Gearing Operation". For those looking for replacement sprockets for those wearing out, they are almost unobtainable for 9 speed Veloce. I bought a second Campagnolo compatible cassette shortly after the Veloce, manufactured by "BBB" also via Amazon from "Bike Somewhere" in Florida. At $38 these are less expensive than a single replacement sprocket and one gets nine of them! Also exceptional value.
