I bought one of these about 6 months ago and I must say it is a blast to own! The build quality is very impressive, especially for the price! The 3 speed hub shifter is easy to use and provides sufficient gear ratios for most riding. I was riding with my wife and noticed that the actual speed you have to pedal is about the same as her 20" Schwinn folding bike, in spite of the tiny tires. Of course, this bike is clearly made for city streets, not off-road of any sort. The brakes also work very well, actually better than my wife's Schwinn. The rear roller brake is kind of a rare feature and I really like it. We took both of our bikes on a trip to Florida, in a Geo Metro of all things, so this bike clearly makes packing very easy! We rode about 35 miles over the week we were there, and it preformed flawlessly the whole time. I was surprised that the factory seat is actually very comfortable. I did buy some gel padded bike pants for long distance riding, which makes it even better. With the gel padded pants I rode about 12 miles in one trip, which is the longest I have ever ridden a bike. Even that distance was quite comfortable. By the way, expect to have lots of people stop and watch as you ride!:) Several people even were taking pictures when we stopped at a park, so you will likely have lots of questions if you get one. I am very pleased with this bike and would definitely buy another. If I had anything to complain about at all I would say that the manual is kind of generic and not very useful, but who needs a manual anyway. I think we all no how to ride a bike! By the way, if you are worried about it being big enough for you, I am about 5' 10" and I have to adjust the seat down for me to be able to ride. Even my wife, who is 6' 1" can't get on it with the seat at the highest position! But it would also fit someone much shorter than myself, so even teenagers and possibly younger should have no trouble adjusting it to fit them. So if you are looking for something to take on trips or run around town, this is the ticket.I am 53 years old and got back into bike riding to lose weight. My knees can't stand the pounding of running. After riding my old haro bike for several weeks and getting pretty good at riding I noticed the sidewalk I was riding on had to much foot traffic to keep speeding up my workout. Also riding after work meant I had to drive my truck to haul my bike. I decided to buy a folding bike that would ride in back of my focus. The 3 speed city bike lets me ride in foot traffic and speed up when traffic alows. I am 270lbs rode over 25mi. on this bike and have not noticed A drop off in performance. If your looking for a folding bike to ride with foot traffic this is a great urban purchase.
