I bought two, and I've had them now for 2 weeks. My use is on a bicycle.

The valve is schrader (not presta). I thought these would illuminate upon

the spinning of the wheel due to the outward force. But in actuality,

in a bicycle application, they do not. They do illuminate (or blink)

upon shock. On a bicycle, when going over bumps at moderate speed, they

do light up and are quite attention-getting at night. Interestingly,

and higher bicycle speeds (>10 mph), even a bumpy road will not make

them light. Perhaps this is because the outward spin force is greater

than the shock (or impluse) force from each bump. The lighting described

above does not matter if it is daylight or night. They survived a 15

minute ride in a moderate rain just fine.

Needless to say, it's Chinese. You can tell that from the grammatically challenged description and title alone. So the construction is a little cheap, and mine came with some flaws; the light sensors don't seem to work, and the lights are solid color, instead of a flash. But I actually still like it.

Cons:

-It's not a solid ring of color as advertised, at least on a bike going 20mph or slower. On a car or moped/motorbike, maybe so.

-Cheap, so parts are a little brittle

Pros:

-Very inexpensive and actually a decent light; it's bright and gets plenty of "oohs" and "ahs" as you ride by

-Screws on snug to valve caps on tires (just kinda convenient in my opinion)

-Hidden among the spokes, so not as likely to be stolen

-Added visibility when driving on the street at night

-The motion sensors are the best part; they're sensitive so they actually work when you start moving, but turn off when you park your bike or stop.

-Just plain fun!

If you want something legitimately stylish and flashy, put more money in and get one of those souped-up wheel lighting kits. But if you're just looking for something simple and cool, this is definitely worth your money.

if i ride too slowly the lights don't light up. after a couple weeks, one of them became much less sensitive than the other and now it only flickers a couple times on each rotation of the wheel. other than this...batteries are holding up well and the lights look cool.

Honest reviews on 2PCS BLUE LED Flash Tyre Wheel Valve Cap Light for Car Bike bicycle

These things are pretty awful. It was built to light up when it was in motion with the circuit being completed through vibration. Upon dissection, I found out that there is a little metal piece that is in a tube that makes contact when it is shook. Sounds good in theory, but the problem is the motion of a bicycle wheel is generally uniform, and not too chaotic. So unless you're biking down a mountain, this thing probably wont light up too much. So I modded it so there is always contact and its on when I want it to be on.

With that said, the light is bright enough and it did screw on to my tire wheel fine. Hence the 2 stars. But that's if you plan on taking it apart and messing with it. Oh and no instructions or anything came with it. So I guess I'm just lucky that I like to tinker with things.

I would buy a different kind.

Be careful, the light does not work on Presta Bicycle Tube Valves(used for slim road bike tires), only Schraeder Bicycle Tube Valve works(mountain bike tires). Also I only received 1 piece, not 2 pieces (for front and back tire).
