I am writing this after having the bike for about a week and have been on the bike for about 3 hours total. It showed up quickly and was easy to assemble, about 20 minutes. The assembly is very straightforward, basically turning some screws to bolt on the legs, seat post, saddle, handle bars, etc. The bike is actually quieter than I expected. I generally ride in the early morning right across the hall from sleeping children and they haven't ever heard it. It is not silent but no bike I have ever ridden is. The saddle is like a typical road bike and I would recommend riding with a gel cover if your not used to that or wearing shorts with a chamois. I wish that the handle bars adjusted up just a little bit higher. I am 6' and I would prefer having the handle bars up probably one more notch. As it is now the position on the bike is pretty forward but I think it would only become unbearable if you were to try a lengthy ride over a few hours. So far I got exactly what I was expecting for the price point.

Product was easy to assemble with an excellent manual. Parts are pretty heavy and Trainer should be assembled well away from pets, children, or furniture. It can slip and slide a little at times. It works smoothly and is quiet in operation. I have no problems hearing TV or music. Large rubber bands look like it should hold reading material across the handle bars. This I have not tried yet.

If you want this bike I would suggest ordering it directly from Proform. As much as I love Amazon, this bike was delivered in the most damaged box, it was torn with huge gaping holes, taped up and almost falling apart. I still hoped that once I opened the box by some miracle the bike would be protected. Nope. I'm shocked anyone could deliver something this damaged and in such terrible condition. The bottom of the bike was dented, scratched and bent. It's hard to bend metal. This box looked like it had been dragged behind the delivery truck. It was just so terrible. I took pictures but can't upload them here. The box was really dusty too even after being shipped. MY husband thinks that it must have been in the warehouse forever. We did not even take the bike out of the box, there was no reason to. I'm not going to keep something that was already damaged either at the warehouse or during shipping. If it was sent from the warehouse this way, shame on them. If the delivery company did it, shame on them too. Did they think some flimsy tape all over the box would protect it. I'm sad I never got to even see the bike or try it out. But no sense in having my husband assemble something that is damaged only to take it all apart and ship it back. I emailed Amazon and they were great and they are having it picked up tomorrow and refunding my money. I'm too afraid to order another bike. I wanted this bike because I heard it was good and tried out the other bike on here (the more popular S brand bike) and two of them were defective in the wheels. No luck buying bikes here. Very disappointed. 3 strikes and I'm out. I really wanted to spin at home. Buyer beware on this one.

Honest reviews on ProForm 300 SPX Indoor Cycle Trainer

I am writing this review after owning the bike for a few weeks. The bike serves it's purpose well. It took me a bit to put it together, some parts needed some WD-40 persuasion to fit, but it seems like it will hold up and last. The only complaint I have is the saddle is very uncomfortable and when I say very uncomfortable, I mean like some kind of medieval butt torture device. I rode this and had trouble sitting down on anything afterwards. I even bought a gel saddle cover and it wasn't enough to improve the pain. I have purchased a saddle to replace it and can only hope it will solve the problem. Other than that, it works just fine, but I would definitely buy a better saddle from the beginning when buying this.

I purchased this bike as a replacement for my older version as it was wearing out. The appearance is much nicer but the manufacturing was awful. The seat, handle bars, and the seat slider do not fit into the slots. I had to use a hammer in order to get them in and because of that I can barely adjust them when needed. The saddle does not tighten down enough to stay put. It ends up swiveling or shifting while I am riding. Also when I received the package and opened it the nobs to secure the handle bars were bashed in and broken as well as the frame was bent so I had to leave a washer out in order to tighten it to the stand. Overall I would not recommend this product. I think the other version is a lot nicer.
