I got this tire mostly because it was inexpensive and had the black sidewalls versus the ugly tan ones I had on previous tires. After over 400 miles in about a year, it still has plenty of tread left. it is not as light as some tires and claim only a 100psi max, but I usually try to keep it around 110. I should mention that I use this tire as a front tire on a 3 wheel handcycle, with 20 inch tires on the rear.

This is a racing clincher. It is fast and very smooth. Excellent handling. I got 4 puncture flats and 4 pinch flats in 1,800 miles. The tires were cut and sliced quite a bit. After these tires I went with Continental GP 4000 S. After 1,300 miles no flats on the 4000 S tires hardly a scratch on them. Same roads same riding conditions. The Continental GP 4000 S tire is bullet proof a great training tire. The Vitoria however provides a lot less rolling resistance. For me averaging 19 20 mph on the same 90 minute loop it took 21 more watts to achieve the exact same average speed on the Continental tires. Generally the Vitoria tire at the same power would deliver about 0.4-0.5 mph greater speed. I rated this Vittoria Open Corsa EVO CX with 5 stars because it is so fast and smooth! If you don't care about the speed and don't want to risk the flats I recommend the Continental GP 4000 S.

Mounting these things was about a two hour project the first time. The bead stretched after being mounted for a while, and subsequent mounting were easier. The tires were great for the first month; great traction, fast rolling, smooth. After about 800 miles, I started getting flats way too often, several during races. I rotated them and got a few more weeks out of them. If I had a different set of wheels to use only for crits and circuit races where the surface has been looked over for debris, I might consider buying another set, but I'd leave them home for longer road races with some questionable surfaces or training rides.

My junior racer has been through a few sets of these tires. The tires wear quickly, but we've managed on about one set per season. This a race tire, but reasonably puncture resistant in our experience. If you need a long-wearing training tire look at the Continental Gatorskin. If you need a fast race tire, look no further than the Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX.

Sometimes it takes "Rocket Science" to manufacture a tire. This 320 TPI Vittoria tire is that kind..!! Indeed it proves the superiority of Italian Technology, no doubt about it. On your first ride you will experience the low rolling resistance and increase of speed. I had a 290 TPI of this same Open Corsa EVO CX but this 320 tpi is lot faster.

Riding with the 700x25 version . It make my Kestrel Talon road bike feel like a cruiser with no speed drop. In fact it may be faster very hard to tell after a few rides but now my ride is comfy. Should have switched to 700x25 much earlier , but this is the best of the bench. Can't speak durability yet but if I have new tires every six months , this is the tire I will be riding. Under $50, this tire is a steal. I weigh 275 lbs , never had a tire that rides this nice on a road bike. MFG max air pressure limit is 130 psi plenty of pressure for my weight but no more bouncing on rough roads. Was running 700x23 Michelins previously there is no comparison to ride quality but would not be surprised if the Michelins are a little more durable. Also tried the Conti 4000 in the 700x25 size they are good but these ride better. Also these are also tad smaller than the Conti's could be a factor if your bike has very tight wheel/tire clearances. The Conti's 700x25 are little to tight for the kestrel talon rear wheel it works, but almost Zero clearance with the frame. This one has no issues at all.

Will only mount easily on a post like the seat post. If you have a tool bag under your seat, there is no room for this light. Alternative locations like the back of the seat, the back of the book carrier, or the back of the fender are difficult with this mounting arrangement. I had to make a special mount for it on the back of the book carrier.

The light control chip failed early. Found it on one night and couldn't turn it off. Pulled the battery to get it off. Now it briefly flashes full on when you put the battery in, but then goes to a low power mode on 2 of the 3 LEDs. It does not respond to the button at all. There is no corrosion in the unit.

Purchased 2 of these from my LBS and returned both. First one worked for about 30 seconds, which was 30 seconds longer than the second one. Another thing, in order to mount to a rack you have to order a special bracket which makes it not such a great deal. Also the bracket makes it hang out a good three quarters on an inch from the back of the rack. UGLY!!

Fast next day delivery with prime, but did not work! Replaced battery thinking that it was a battery issue, but new ones did not work also.

So far so good, this light attaches easily and firmly and is pretty bright too. I like being able to turn it on/off without having to cycle through 9 different flashing modes like most other lights.

Even with just 3 LEDs, the Cateye rear light is bright enough. I use it for last minute riding at dusk and have it clipped to my seatpost bag.
