I purchased the megaexo version from another vendor. As frames change, 24mm spindle bottom brackets are becoming harder to find, especially in high end versions like this carbon fiber crankset. Indeed, the crank itself is a beautiful piece of carbon fiber to behold. In one's hand, one can easily discern the weight difference between this crank and the Shimano Ultegra crank it replaces.

However, one weakness in the design is the way the free crank arm (non-spider) attaches to the spindle. It comes with a self-releasing screw/bolt which is used to tighten as well. The compression (where the arm fits against the bearing) relies upon a spring washer. Depending on the health of this spring washer, binding of the bearing or distortion of the inner bearing race could occur if the screw is too tight or if it is too loose the crank arm could also come loose.

The two screw compression system found on Shimano cranks is a better design. It is much more secure and does not rely on the compression of the lateral forces (along the spindle) between the crank arms to secure them.

I've used these tires for a while and have had solid performance with no issues at all. It can be a bit of a challenge to install but once you dial it in its fairly easy to do going forward. To prevent flats put Stans No-Tube (about 2oz)in after installing and you're good to go. I've had audible flats and they seal in about 20 seconds and dropped the psi from 130 to about 90. Never stopped and rode home, pumped it up back to 130 and have had no issues since. I would shop around on Amazon as prices can vary.

These are great all around tires. This is my second set and I love them. For the price, you can't beat it.

I've been through several sets of these tires now. The first time I let the manufacturer convince me it was my fault that the tire failed. It happened on the second set as well and I'm through. Let me explain.

I had the rear tire on one set "shift" in relation to the presta valve/rim. It caused a major bulge in the tire and the wheel felt like it was hopping. The manufacturer advised this was "not unheard of," and I should reset the wheel on the rim and it would go back to normal (i.e. the hop would go away.) It did not. I thought that I would watch more closely and ordered another set. Why not? I'd liked the concept of the tubular-clincher though I can't say I saw much in the way of improved performance. But I'm not a racer, so I don't know that I would.

The second set didn't do much better. The front tire failed this time, bulging and causing the sidewall to fail: air leaked rapidly from the side walls. The valve shift was very subtle and I did not notice it. I had used the sealant for these tires and thought maybe it was just dried-out. No go. I added more sealant and spun the tire to "distribute" it. HUGE bulge and hop at the valve.

If you want a tire that may fail before it wears-out, by all means get these.

Pros: high pressure, clean looks, less likely to go flat when you use sealant, and low rolling resistance

Cons: harder to mount, not easy to fix roadside flat (unless you carry a whole spare tire,) not very durable when they "shift" on the rim.

This is a very nice tool to have around. It seems to be well built and function as it's supposed to. Note that it is fairly soft metal to keep from messing up the threads, and that you won't want to use this to hold an axle (or any threaded rod) to loosen a tight fastener; doing so will eat away at the metal of the vise. But it certainly comes in handy when you need to hold a wheel still to remove or insert ball bearings and stuff like that. You can also use it to work on lamps (containing hollow rods) and other stuff like that where you don't want to mar the object you're holding

Obviously, you need a bench vise to use this properly.

I purchased this tool on a curious whim and I am completely satisfied.

It is designed to do one thing and do it well, secure wheel axle and pedal spindle threads securely in a bench vise.

It has exceeded my expectations, I used it regularly and it's now one of my favorite tools.

It may seem a bit overpriced but once you begin to use it you realize it's worth every penny.

If you're a bicycle mechanic I heartily recommend the Park Tool AV-4 Heavy Duty Axle and Pedal Vise.

These seat posts are very well made in my opinion, heavy duty construction. They work well with the larger Brooks Bicycle Saddles like the B-33 and the B-73 models.
