This wheel is *not* a mountain bike wheel! The freewheel hub will take a Shimano mountain bike freewheel cluster, but the wheel is the A.E.3 size that fits older 10-speed road bikes (same rim size as a 26" 3-speed). If you're looking for a replacement wheel for such a bike, look no further; if you need a replacement wheel for a 26" mountain bike, look elsewhere.

This wheel is good, you will need to loosen up the bolts on the axle to allow it to spin more freely. It's not a perfectly straight wheel, you can tell by spinning it once it's on the bike, BUT these wheels look just like the wheels I had on my 1978 Schwinn, except these ones are brand new, clean, and shiny! I love them, but 4 stars for the not perfectness....

This is shinny steel.not dull. I didn't know if it would match the other wheel which is shinny it does.

True The wheel is true. It doesn't rub against the brakes nor does it wobble. A professional bike tech might disagree but I'm very pleased. It has spacers so that it would fix a bike with lots of room between the dropouts. I was able to remove the spacers to fit my bike.

It does not ship with a rim cover you should buy one now or use the old one. Everything was greased and lubed. No reflectors if the old wheel doesn't have reflectors you should buy them now.

The product was ok, the size was wrong. They said my fault but truthfully they are the bike experts and made little effort to confirm the size when I called before placing the order. Who knew the rim size didnt match the stamp on the tire? I didnt. Anyway, I pay to ship, I pay return ship of a BRAND NEW RIM and pay to ship the new one. They said they'd credit the old one, no credit. They said they'd follow up, no follow up. They said they'd consider no charge to ship second item of correct size, they didn't.

Summary: Product Fair, Customer service lacking. Integrity questionable. They got their money from me ... once and only once. Never again with this company.
