These didn't even come close to fitting my wheels, front or back. Measure your existing skewers before buying these, I think they're designed for road/commuter/fixie bikes.
It seems like they would deter the common "grab your wheel as they walk by" thief.

I commute and keep a bike in New York City. These replace the quick-release skewers that come with most bikes, and make it nearly impossible to steal the wheels off your bicycle without the special key. This means that I don't have to travel with a separate locking system for the frame and the wheels, and can just use a U-lock to secure the frame makes for a lot less to carry, and locking up outside a lot quicker. Yet with the key, which lives on my keychain, it's very quick to release the skewers for roadside tire repair. I highly recommend for anyone in a less-than-secure area.Best Deals for Pinhead Bicycle Locking Skewer Set, 3 Pack
The 2012 Pinhead wheel locks now come with security washers which prevent their opening by the Gator wrench. These POG security washers are also a free upgrade on the Pinhead website for all past wheel lock purchasers. This security washer is not required for Pinhead's solid axle wheel locks, seatpost locks, saddle locks or headset locks.Honest reviews on Pinhead Bicycle Locking Skewer Set, 3 Pack
Instead of buying a bunch of locks and cables, I decide to try these out. So far I've taken my bike out in San Fran a few times and left it locked up on Market, Valencia, Hayes Valley and down at the Embarcadero without any parts getting stolen.Pros:
-seems secure so far
-really easy to install
Cons:
-the seat bit didn't work on my seats, so I've just overtightened the bolts hoping that someone won't be strong enough to untighten them :)
-you MUST carry the key with you when riding (I say this because of the next con)
-I've noticed that the wheel locks have a tendency to come a bit loose, so check them before riding (you'll notice when you start riding and your tire isn't moving...check the pinhead lock first to see if it's loose)
Overall, seems like a pretty secure product and it hasn't let me down yet.
