After looking for a long time at different strollers, doing research and playing with different strollers in stores, I finally decided on the City Mini 2012. The main things I wanted in a stroller is one that is lightweight but sturdy, easy and smooth maneuverability, a big full sunshade, a full recline, easily folded, and one that does not take up my whole car's trunk the way the travel system stroller did. This stroller was everything I wanted and more! It's also easily cleaned, and the harnesses are sturdy and easily adjusted. I love it! When I got the box, I was worried because I saw that some assembly would be required. But without even looking at the instructions, I was able to put it together in just a couple minutes. We've had this stroller now for a few months and couldn't be happier!

The only things about it that I wish were different is that it would come standard with a child tray and parent console and drink holder. But those accessories are available and easily attached. And actually, I'm glad that these features are optional, because we only attach them when we need/want to use them. When we're traveling and want to travel as light as possible, it's great to have the option of taking the attachments off.

Here are the reasons I bought this stroller. 1) I live in an apartment (top floor) and I needed a light weight stroller. The city mini is perfect as it ways I think 17 lbs. 2) I needed a stroller that I could fold easily and put it in my small trunk (I have a Toyota corolla). The city mini was again perfect for this. It fold up easily and fits perfectly in my trunk taking up about 1/4 of the trunk. This leaves plenty of room for groceries and other items. 3) I wanted a stroller that was sleek and cool. I felt like the city mini had all the qualities of an umbrella stroller but was more sturdy and cool. 4) I wanted a stroller that I could have an infant car seat adapter on it. City mini has an adapter that gave me a lot of options for car seats brands.

Now that I have bought the stroller and have used it for a year I have some critiques. 1) it's too short. I am 5'10 and my husband is 6'2. He won't even push it because it hurts his back to lean over. And with me I hit the middle bar at the bottom of the stroller. 2) the adapter is great for the car seat but it does make it a little top heavy and tippy. 3) I wished it had forever tres instead of plastic tires.

So all the things I just complained about....they fixed. They made the CITY MINI GT. They made it after I already bought and used my City Mini. I was and am SO SAD. I would have LOVED the City Mini GT. It has the extended handle bar, the forever tires, and the break is on the handle instead of at the bottom.

So that's my review. I still love it for all the reasons I listed above but had a few things I would add...and they did add them...just to the GT.

First of all, I had the britax b agile. I loved the stroller for some time. Until my daughter gained a couple pounds and when I would put her in the stroller the back rest would bend. Then the seat was not upright and she hated being in there.

So I went for the city mini 2012. I bought it because the seat is firm and steady. It is also upright. The basket is bigger and more accesible than the 2011 city mini or b agile.

The stroller is a little heavier than the b agile. I also like the handle bar it is made out of rubber not foam.

What I dont like is the bar where the brake is. Its gets in the way and I have kicked it a couple of times. You cannot fold it when the brake is on for some reason.

Overall great stroller not perfect though. I would recommend it.

Honest reviews on Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller

This stroller is definitely awesome in terms of the look of it, which is sporty and cool, and also the smoothness of the stroll. when my kiddo was born I had a Graco Travel System and I hated the way it strolled, always getting stuck on the road. this is a totally different experience. I will have to say though, that sometimes when I'm in a rush and turning quickly, I feel like the stroller might tip over on its side. it's not as sturdy as the Graco (can't believe I'm complimenting the Graco!) now, maybe this is a result of the CM being a jogger and therefore not having the stability of 4 wheels. but I had to mention it because it's a factor. maybe the GT wheels have better stability? i don't know. the wheels are also a little squeaky, don't know if this is an individual problem with the stroller, I guess I'll contact them about that.

i also had a maclaren for a little bit so small and easy to fit through anything! so I'm not used to having to maneuver to get the back wheels out of standard size doors. that's kind of annoying sometimes. otherwise, i really love to CM 2012. they improved the basket accessibility so that's great, and I like the rubber handlevery comfortable, and the height is awesome. I'm 5'6" and my husband is 6', no problems with height, and nothe bar going across the bottom does not get in our way at all, we never bump into it. not sure why anyone would.

the canopy alone would make me buy this. It's awesome. Two view windows and blocks everything except my daughter's feet from rain/sun.

I wish the harness was a little better for smaller babies.

It does have a smell when it comes out of the box so I would air it out before use.

The steering is great, haven't used it yet on "rougher" terrain but am planning to.

I like the neutral color.

Hate that you have to pay extra for the belly bar but it is a worthwhile purchase for toys and for baby to hold onto.

As others mention you can't really fit a diaper bag in the bottom but it could definitely fit a decent amount of individual items.

Customer service was quick to answer the phone when I had questions.

Super easy to put together. Done in 10 minutes.

EDITED TO ADD have had this longer now...changed my review grade to a 3 (previously a 4) for a couple reasons. Yes the 1 hand fold works, but it is definitely a two-hand set-up and actually a little unwieldy to do so. We have the belly bar and I was told not to hold the stroller by that so folding it up is actually sort of a pain now. Also, we took it on some gravel, I think the front wheel is now off. When I emailed cust service, they want a VIDEO of what it is doing instead of just replacing the part which seems ridiculous to me. I spent almost $300 just send me the darn wheel do you think I'm trying to get a "free" wheel out of you for giggles?!?
