I can't provide any comparison to other quality clinchers as this is my first set, nor can I comment on longevity yet, but I'll try to update this after a few months.
10/19/10 Update: I've put about 1K miles on them. They're still very compliant and the wear rate seems to be about average for a lightweight, performance tire. Puncture resistance hasn't been all that good, though. I've had 2 front flats from goatheads, one of which had three at the same time! On another flat, a tiny glass shard about 4mm x 3mm punctured the rear tread close to the sidewall. It is a flat cut and goes all the way to the tube. When I tried airing up with my CO2, the tube started to peek out the cut, which had me very nervous about splitting the tire and having a blowout had to keep the pressure low and ride slow back home. I put a patch on the inside of the tire and it seems to be ok for now.

good tire, fast rolling and good protection. I've got a few hundred miles, mostly all city, on these things and no flats yet. I typically run them all the way up at 145psi so then roll very well. I have noticed a few small nics/cuts on the outer case but when I pulled the tire there was nothing thru to the inside. A word of caution these come folded up pretty tight so when you first mount then fill em up to about 65psi and let em sit over night to work all the wrinkles out of the beadBest Deals for Schwalbe Ultremo DD Tire - Clincher
I switched to this after having ridden both the Conti 4000s and Mavic Yks. The threads-per-inch is lower on the DDs, which translates to a slightly harsher ride. Still, tires have done very well in first 300 miles of city riding. Aside from puncture resistance, my biggest hope is that they last more than a season (~3000 miles); neither of the others did.One other thing I ordered 700x23, but the tire definitely says 700x25 along the sidewall. I didn't notice it until after a few rides; fortunately, the DD's "25" is pretty comparable to other companies' 23.

I am very pleased with the Ultremo DDs. They are fairly light, very grippy and have been very resistant to flats so far (about 500 miles use). I would buy these again for sure. Highly recommended!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Schwalbe Ultremo DD Tire - Clincher
