I have about 1000 miles on this tire now, I am happy with it especially on the road. I had a Dunlop D606 on the rear before this tire. The Shinko 700 does not hook up in the dirt as well as the D606. I especially notice it on steep climbs and in the sand and loose gravel. Most of the time it works fine in the dirt. I normally ride 70% on the road to get to the trails anyway, so this tire works for me, and is an excellent value. I have it on a DRZ400, I think next time I will buy the 5.1 X 18, I think this would work better in the sand and loose gravel and I like fat tires anyway.
