Both the kenda tires I bought have split open right down the middle with less than 1000 miles on them. Sorry Kenda, but these tires are no good. My dad had the same problem with some red kountaches he bought at a local bike shop. What a disappointment. Sticking with Continentals from now on, I get so many more miles on them that I'll end up saving money.
I bought these hoping for really good flat protection. The flat protection is okay, but wasn't cutting it (no pun intended?) since there are so many cinders left from the winter. I upgraded to beefier continental 4 seasons tires so I could race flat free. I immediately noticed how much better the grip was on the 4seasons tire. I am a relatively heavier for a cyclist (175 lbs) so it might not be as bad for lighter riders.
If you are racing I would suggest continental gp4000s for summer/fall and 4seasons for winter/spring (heavier, but great flat protection against cinders).
2 stars, they felt okay before they fell apart. 4000s and 4seasons are more expensive but both ride better and last a lot longer
