It is and was extremely hard to find this hanger from local bike stores and most places in this country for this bike that was bought from a major bike store in the UK. Yes they could sell you the bike but no they didn't now if they could get the hanger and it would have to be ordered. However a quick visit to Amazon and I found it instantly in the States. Ok so the postage was not small but the price of the hanger was very reasonable. I ordered it and within a few days I had it in my hand. This one unlike the original is not made of monkey metal but hardened alloy. It fitted perfectly and has been used without issue since. Ideal. Pity we don't have the same shops & service in this country. Just as well we do have Amazon.
